Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Morning. No I don't like shouty we get too much of that at home I don't want to be shouted at I want to be talked to in ^^ that voice up there.

Do you think we should start a case against Spooks and Strike Back producers on The Man's behalf then Massive.

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 10:14

Something to ease us into the weekend?

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 13:04

What a perfect vid, Small. So many lovely pics but that first shot of season 3 Gizzy, especially coming after the very smiley one, was arresting for me. Oh lawdy and golly gosh.

About the sueing for character assassination, funnily enough there was an article in the same paper about two characters that keep being resurrected ad infinitum, Bond and Bourne, and I thought that was a case of going far too far the opposite way.

It is sad when loved character is no more but you can reluctantly let them go if it's done in the right way. What they did to Lucas rankles much too much for me. But of course sueing seems even more crass!

I loved the song too Massive - so appropriate!

Yes, it's best we don't talk about what they did to Lucas unless it sets me off again ,sobs>

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 14:20

I wonder how Twiggy is getting on with Spooks 9 I just dare not order that. I was able to order and watch RH 3 and see my Gizzy meet his end, albeit with a very large box of tissues at my side.

I wondedr how Spiro's back is... Hope she is okay after lugging the weekly shop home.

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 14:37

Oh, wouldn't that have been yummy! Do you think he'd have helped bring it all into the house for her, with a wistful glance at her kitchen table, which would obviously be off limits at the moment.

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 15:33

I don't know Massive, surely a firm surface is best for a bad back?

DumSpiroSpero · 27/05/2011 16:50

I don't know Massive, surely a firm surface is best for a bad back?

Do you think stairs would do? Not sure I'd get as far as the kitchen if I had that kind of assistance (also don't have a kitchen table and suspect that ceramic tiled flooring might be taking the hard surface a bit too far!). Although I do have plenty of worktop space...

Back not too bad now but it was pretty uncomfortable after I did the shopping so got v. little sleep, and was out last night. Didn't want to post at lunchtime as I hadn't had a chance to look at the last few links.

That Hardy poem was very touching - I had a lump in my throat by the end.

The vid - yummy! And very apt Smile.

As for Nicolette Sheridan - my gut reaction was 'cobblers'!. Obviously in an ideal world it's nice if actors and writers can work together, but at the end of the day an actor is an employee, hired to bring to life someone else's creative vision. I would be shocked and disappointed if I was made redundant - that doesn't give my employer any less right to make that decision if they feel it necessary. It also doesn't necessarily mean they've made the correct choice but that's life.

I think the way they wrote Lucas out of Spooks was utter rubbish, but I'd still defend the writer's choice to do that over RA's right to sue if he'd been barking enough to take that kind of action. And tbh, as time has gone on I've increasingly been able to make sense out of the character's change, even though I personally would have taken a different route.

DumSpiroSpero · 27/05/2011 16:50

Blimey! That was a whopper of a post!

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 17:15

Very interesting post. though Spiro. That sueing business smacks a little too much of the lunatics taking over the asylum to me, too.

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 17:27

Bit desperate isn't it.

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 17:27

Snagged via Twitter from that Russian site.

Another stunner

I did smile at the notice he's posing next to.

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 17:29

Or do you prefer this one ?

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 17:41

I like those pics (and he was definately set next to that sign at exactly the intended spot! Grin) but there's something not right about the proportions. His body looks to small for his legs in those photos for some reason - or am I just in need of a Friday night Wine ?

DumSpiroSpero · 27/05/2011 17:44

The second one is one of my fave but have only ever seen it from the waist up. I really like the first one though, it's slightly 'softer' iykwim.

DumSpiroSpero · 27/05/2011 17:45

Nah, it's definitely you Small! Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 17:50

I think it might be because he's leaning backwards against the wall.
Oh, there is so no escape from that man...

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 18:03

yes I think you're right Massive. I prefer the first one too.

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 18:03

So ladeeez I am actually, going out tonight. I know, it's unbelievable isn't it?

DumSpiroSpero · 27/05/2011 18:15

Anywhere nice Small?

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 18:21

Go, Small! Hope you have a great time!

You never know, one of these days, I might go out at night, too, then you'll really know the Apocalypse is at hand.

TheSmallPrint · 27/05/2011 19:12

Not really, Spiro but it's 'out' so I'm not complaining Grin.

Why do you never go out Massive?

SupermassiveLBD · 27/05/2011 19:19

Why do you never go out Massive?

I dunno, Small, it's been so long I've forgotten why! Wink

tbh I am usually so tired by the end of the day, I'd rather stay in and collapse in front of the computer.

PasstheTwiglets · 27/05/2011 21:58

Evening all!

Small, I hope you are having a fun night! Where did you go, just for drinkies? I completely understand where you are coming from, Massive, about being too exhausted at the end of the day, but I do wish I had the option of girly nights out. DrTwigs and I could, in theory, go out once a week when my parents stay over but I want girly friends to go out with . Couldn't you all move over this way and then we can all go out lots :) We need to go somewhere where I can have a mojito in July!

Massive, you are really making me laugh tonight - I loved your 'wistful glance at the kitchen table' comment and the observation of the 'no escape' sign :) I adore that pic but had never noticed that before!

Spooks 9 - I haven't watched it yet. I did rewatch the actual episodes fairly recently but it's the extras I wanted to see. How cruel that TwigBoy hasn't had a nursery day since the DVD arrived - and it's flippin' half-term next week!

Spiro, what is 'that scene' in Strikeback? Confused
