Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Nah, still lurking but off to bed now as busy week ahead.

SupermassiveLBD · 22/05/2011 22:44

I shall wish everyone sweet dreams myself, then. Who knows, tonight may be the night for you.

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 07:39

What happens to everyone last night? . What did you do with them Massive??

My phone died an untimely death so I had to depart. I started watching Zodiac but gave up, ifound it a bit creepy.

Hello ladies. Busy day today, Hopefully I will be back later. Thanks for the tidy-up, Small, we did leave the place in rather a state last night.

PasstheTwiglets · 23/05/2011 13:12

I assumed everyone had gone last night, as there weren't any posts for ages - guess we were all doing the same! :)

Busy day here too today (1 child to and from nursery, other child home for lunch and back). Am trying to get lots done and not play on the PC but will be probably be around tonight for a bit.

Oh missed you all again.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/05/2011 17:02

This, just in -- snagged off Twitter.

Remember the Lucas pic that was so nice, the one that revealed the Amazing Travelling Tatt? And we were all wishing it was a better print?

Well, wishes do come true, very occasionally.

Enjoy!

DumSpiroSpero · 23/05/2011 17:13

Well done Massive - I needed that! Don't know what I've done but have put my left hip/lower back out - am in agony & hobbling.

Do you think he'd come & give me a massage? Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 23/05/2011 17:26

What a waste, if he did, though, Spiro. You wouldn't be in any condition to appreciate him properly.

Joking aside, so sorry to hear that -- I hope you'll be better soon.

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 18:30

Oooooh nice quality pic Massive

Spiro have you been over doing the Zumba again?! Hope it eases up very soon, as a martyr to back pain I know how excrutiating and dibilitating it can be Sad

DumSpiroSpero · 23/05/2011 20:06

Thanks ladies. I don't know how I did it. DD got into bed with us last night and I was fully expecting a knackered shoulder this morning, but I kind of bent down slightly while sitting on a swivel chair at work this morning & felt something go ping.

Was just niggling so came home, did a couple of chores and went to pick DD up, but at the bottom of the road her school's in it went ping again badly - didn't think I was going to make it to the classroom for a minute, and it's got progressively worse since.

Have tried hot bath, freezing gel & ibuprofen and now in bed - not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight Sad

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 20:13

Have you got any decent pain killers? Maybe get some Volterol from the chemist or codeine and ibufrofen and if it's no better tomorrow then go to dr and beg for Tramadol!!

DumSpiroSpero · 23/05/2011 20:16

Just ibuprofen. Don't really fancy Tramadol with DD to look after. H took them after an op once & was away with the fairies for about 3 days!

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 20:29

Really? They didn't have that affect on me, but I think a lot of drugs don't work on me. I had two epidurals that didn't even work properly on me. Grin

PasstheTwiglets · 23/05/2011 20:38

Spiro, so sorry you are suffering. Hope it's better tomorrow. :) @ Massive's comment about not being able to appreciate him properly.

Smallio, OUCH on the two failed epidurals - that was one of my nightmares. Yay for C-sections, I say! :)

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 23/05/2011 20:40

Well I may well change my mind depending on if/how much I sleep tonight!

Epidurals that didn't work? Eek! I could've snogged the anaesthetist that did mine.

DumSpiroSpero · 23/05/2011 20:43

Did you have sections with both of yours Twigs?

I had EMCS with DD but did 24 hrs of induced labour first - there's a reason I only have one child!

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 20:45

Well thats not quite true. The first one didn't work and then they re did it and it worked but I felt everything, just not full on labour pain. The second was the same in that I could feel all the contractions and the actual pushing hurt (although I suspect that's because he was soooo long his foot was way above the line of the epidural!!) But I do find that most standard pain relief doesn't help me very much and I also find that things like caffeine don't make the slightest difference and drugs that say they may make you drowsy never do - including sleep aid things!! I generally avoid pain killers now unless I absolutely have to take one.

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 20:47

I was induced with one of mine Spiro, it wasn't pleasant. During the whole day they only offered me paracetemol for pain relief. I very nearly told them what they could do with it.

TheSmallPrint · 23/05/2011 20:48

paracetemol have the same analgesic effect as smarties as far as I am concerned.

PasstheTwiglets · 23/05/2011 20:59

Yup, 2 sections. I desperately wanted them as I had tocophobia (childbirth phobia). They didn't take me seriously though and thought I was just scared like most people are. First CS was technically an EMCS but it wasn't a real emergency, it was just 'cos of failed induction. Second one they agreed in advance once they realised how serious I was about it.

It sounds hideous having 24 hours of labour and then a CS - that's the worst of both worlds, you poor thing.
