Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

To Twiggy

Madam, there are so many mistaken assumptions in your earlier post that I hardly know where to begin. First, what do you mean un Mr Thornton-like thoughts? This is a man who is so seized by manly passions when he first sets eyes on me Margaret that he is soon ardently proposing marriage to me her (which is about as raunchy as it gets in the 19th century). Second, I venture to suggest that the opposite of chaste and wholesome (which I imagine is what you mean by Mr Thornton-like) is not pervy. Mind you, if my dear dear Johnnie goes anywhere near the Gurnard project to have you ladies leching over him, we shall Have Words.

You must excuse me. I have a pile of cravats to iron ready for the morrow.

Yours disappointedly

Maud

::Still getting hot and steamy here::

SupermassiveLBD · 22/05/2011 19:02

So Dixon has put plenty of starch into the cravats today, then.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/05/2011 19:03

::Dashing away with the smoothing iron::

PasstheTwiglets · 22/05/2011 19:54

Sorry Maudy, I just think he looks more like one of the Carry On cast than the Mr Thornton that I know and love!

Well, I thought he looked rather lovely, Maud.

PasstheTwiglets · 22/05/2011 20:13

Anybody watching Baftas? Wooft is Benedict Cumberbatch wearing on his feet?!

PasstheTwiglets · 22/05/2011 20:19

Tell me you don't see the similarity...

Peeps out from behind sofa, as is watching Doctor Who

Twiggy - You really should have gone to Specsavers. A slightly saucy glint in his eye does not, repeat not, equate to oooooh matron.

Brandishes smoothing iron in threatening manner, to keep away those who are dissing Mr Thornton the gangers

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/05/2011 20:32

::Emerges from behind sofa again, having just seen Twiggy's latest post::

Twiggy dear, I can only suggest you replace the house rabbit with a guide dog ASAP.

TheSmallPrint · 22/05/2011 20:33

Evening all

Well thanks for the hobbit clip Twigs, yes the whooping was a bit cringey and as Massive points out, the spiritual bond I have with Richard meant he displayed to me that he is just a bloke just as I was asking for evidence of.

TheSmallPrint · 22/05/2011 20:35

I don't think that photo is pervy looking but I don't like it very much

TheSmallPrint · 22/05/2011 20:37

I am watching the Baftas, Martin Freeman just won something - best supporting? I was typing on here so didn't hear properly.

PasstheTwiglets · 22/05/2011 20:37

LOL at house rabbit/guide dog!

Yay for Martin Freeman! #Baftas

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 22/05/2011 20:48

Obviously I am not watching the Baftas, but Best Supporting...?

DumSpiroSpero · 22/05/2011 20:48

S'alright - I'll PM you when I've finished reworking Chapter 9 Wink Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 22/05/2011 20:51

I believe Martin Freeman got Best supporting actor for Watson in 'Sherlock'

PasstheTwiglets · 22/05/2011 20:51

Blimey Small, how loud do you type?! :) It was Best Supporting Actor that Martin Freeman won (for Sherlock). I liked his acceptance speech - "I really, really, did expect this" :)
