Strangers are friends you just haven't met, yet. Even when they are baddies and drive science-fiction-y submarines, wearing a smart grey lounge suit.

DT fan? Why?

What wasn't you Massive? I am very confused. A lack of sleep I think.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 21:32

Re DT, there is a rather cringey thread in Chat...

It wasn't me who drove everyone off the thread, earlier, I meant. Sorry I wasn't clear. I',m having withdrawal symptoms, still. after being on here so little, today.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 21:37

Ahh, found it! I'm ashamed to say I clicked on the link Shock. I'm saying nothing.

TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 21:38

what have you been upto then Maud, sit here and tell me about your day.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 21:42

A teensy weensy bit more, perhaps, Small... Wink
Trouble is, nobody reckons on t'interweb and the inventiveness of naughty ladies.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 21:44

Sorry I just called you Maud! Told you I was tired. Sit down Massive..

Just the right level I think, we have imagination for the rest.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 21:45

Maud? I didn't see her. Shock

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 21:46

Don't confuse me! I called you Maud.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 21:47

Ah, that makes two of us that are not completely on the ball tonight, Small.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 21:48

don't talk about balls..

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 21:52

Sorry. This is not the DT thread after all.

How did work go, then or shouldn't I ask? My day was pants,-- if Sir Guy will forgive the expression. Housework, cooking, bollocking by SBs teachers, you name it.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 22:00

Mine was a rubbish stressful (for a number of reasons) and then ultimately unproductive day for which I am feeling very guilty.

Why are teachers having a pop?

I am so tired I think I may retire.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 22:05

Cheeky answering back, that kind of thing, Small. Sorry your day was not so good either. Tomorrow is another day, as Scarlett O'Hara so wisely said

Don't sweat the small stuff, Small

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/05/2011 22:08

Glad that wasn't a link back to DT Grin

yes a new day for us all hope it's a better one for us both. Night night Massive.

DumSpiroSpero · 12/05/2011 22:18

Evening all!

Not much to report here...still plodding away with dd's dinosaur homework - soooo looking forward to another 10 weeks of it Hmm. Off to Natural History Museum in Saturday though which will be fun, and going to see Rio 3D on Sunday. What's everyone else up to?

Some of my colleagues will have found out this afternoon whether or not they still have jobs so not expecting tomorrow to be much fun, still H has a night out and I have a bottle of Chablis in the fridge!

Tried something new for dinner tonight based in Twigs suggestions. I knew butternut & sage risotto wouldn't cut it with his lordship, so did pasta with butternut, sage, & chorizo & olive ciabatta which went down well so that's 1 new thing to add to future menus.

Am loving all the pics. Will have to catch up with vids tomorrow night

Speaking of which - have you had your birthday yet Massive? We were supposed to be having a Academy knees up about now?

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 22:20

Sleep tight, Small! and sweet dreams.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 22:26

Like this do you mean, Spiro? Oh, sorry my mistake, that wasn't knees.

That meal sounds great, I shall have to try that on Mr M though the SBs might find it too exotic for their taste. Everything but something and chips is too exotic for their taste.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 12/05/2011 22:32

that wasn't knees ROFL Grin!

Worth a try on the food front Massive. I softened onion, red pepper & garlic in some olive oil, then added sliced chorizo & sage, then the roasted squash a large glass of white wine & half a tin of chopped tomatoes. It looked quite 'rustic' when it all came together but at least I managed not to burn it for a change!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 12/05/2011 22:34

::Totters in::

Did someone suggest a party?

Oh dear, Massive. Are the SuperBoys particularly naughty (I am imagining cheeky rather than delinquent) or do Island schools have unrealistic high expectations of boys' behaviour? Big celebration here is that Girl has moved up a group in swimming from not waving but drowning differently able to moderately able.

Wine?

DumSpiroSpero · 12/05/2011 22:35

I wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting that down DD. It's taken nearly 7 years to get her to eat pasta with tinned tomatoes & grated cheese, which is weird considering she'll eat curry, sweet n sour, crispy duck, salami, marinated olives & all manner of honky cheeses Confused!

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 22:36

Yum, my mouth is watering. Do you roast the squash in the oven first?

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 12/05/2011 22:40

Well done Garden Girl! Does she enjoy swimming Maud?

DD has just moved up into the improvers group so is now in the big pool rather than the 'baby pool'. There are a couple of other classes going on alongside albeit all section off. She is not impressed.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/05/2011 22:42

We can't offer Girl a Wine obviously. We need a [knickerbocker glory] emoticon. Well done!

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 12/05/2011 22:48

Yes roasted first!

Try not to worry about your Superboys Massive - I think we ascertained the other night there are probably as many loopy teachers as there are cheeky kids!

H is watching Lee Evans at the mo...I must be missing something as I really don't understand why people find him funny.

DumSpiroSpero · 12/05/2011 22:52

On the subject of loopy teachers - dd's teacher (not 'her' teacher buttoned that takes them for a particular session regularly) - wouldn't let her go to the loo today because it was 'too near the end of the lesson'. Is it me or does that seem a rather hard line to take in Yr 1? Needless to say what the end result was Angry Sad
