I can't be arsed to cut and paste but the gist of it is that she was upset about the comments about how she doesn't read books and therefore won't want her children to excel academically. How they won't be able to buy their kids in there etc.

Whoever it was that called them working class was referenced.

Oh, I wondered about that. There was a comment on Twitter about nasty MNetters.

I read the thread but don't think I commented on it. It was a bit mean spirited.

Actually, just reread the thread. There was more discussion on whether a poster was anti-semitic than anything else.

And there was only one poster who made the book reading comment, which was immediately challenged.

There were a good few compliments of the Beckhams there, that they seem to be good, caring, supportive parents.

I don't think that thread was even bitchy about VB per se TSC.

Just your usual competitive mummery - oh quick, we can speculate that the kids are thick because they look sporty.

As in, not excusable, but the egos on here are bigger than the egos on the Beckhams, so some people thought they ought to put them in their place.
