I didn't read that thread as being unpleasant actually - I read it as people saying, in response to a headline that said the Beckham children are going to Habs, as hang on a minute don't they need to pass an exam first? Sure there were one or two comments on it that were a bit but overall I thought people were nice about them.

I would be very unlikely to send my sons to Habs having had the pleasure of attending a talk by the Head. You may think your children are bright but are they Habs bright ... the best of the best ... blah blah blah. Not an attitude I can see the Beckhams with as it happens.

And that reflects the general feeling I encounter about them, seem nice enough, kids are meant to be lovely - very rare I see anything negative about them unless it relates to ill-informed crap about VB's weight.

The comments on the DM forum though - wow. Where to start .....

I love the fact that one of the boys (the eldest?) is so normal looking. One of the others always looks like his mum has chosen his clothes. I can imagine the normal one rebelled at some point and just said No Mum I'm chosing from now on and I just want to wear trackies. Ok?!

I have a secret hope that the girl will rebel too and want to wear Next and M&S.

Of all the celebs out there, the Beckhams are amongst the few I like. They market themselves very well. They generally keep fairly quiet and well behaved, and they seem like a lovely family. Those people who implied that, given their parents, the boys arent likely to be bright enough to pass the entrance exams, ought to be ashamed of themselves. The DM should also be ashamed of itself for the apalling interpretation it gave of the MN thread and the disregard it showed for accuracy!

It wasn't actually in the paper though, was it? It's the Dm that feels that way and they just twisted the thread to make it look like it was people on here saying it. From the hundreds of threads I've read on here re the Beckhams, nobody has had a bad word to say about them. I despise that paper!

Kittya+1 I think posh is clever. She's quick-witted in interviews. I find her funny whenever I see her on tv. And you need to be clever to be witty, because you've no time to prepare 'wit'.

It must be awful to read total strangers commenting about your children and family but the Beckhams have choosen a public life and it does come with the territory unfortunately.

I've only skim read the other thread but didn't think it was too hurtful, if you do post here Victoria I'd hide that type of thread and enjoy the anonimity that I'm sure you never get in the rest of your life.

I was on a thread not so long ago, about famous mnetters, and someone knew VB personally. There was lots of guessing about her username but Piathreetimes rings a bell

I haven't seen the Closer article but I'm guessing she was upset about people speculating on how intelligent or otherwise her children are rather than simply where they go to school. You'd have to be pretty hard hearted not to be upset.

tbh,have no contention with brand beckham,at least they dont traipse their detritus about like Jordan for example.
