Maud, I hadn't seen that Duran Duran thingy! Funnily enough, I am watching the "Duran Duran For One Night Only" pogramme on iPlayer as we speak! They are talking about how the girls at the concerts used to scream until they couldn't hear themselves play - DrTwiglets remarked that he assumed that was the point of the screaming :) Have we seen Simon LeBon's recent beard effort?! Maud, your "isn't that Lucas" picture was simply divine!! About the 'promise of raunchiness to come' thing - it's very odd. Usually I completely concur with you and, as I've said before, I find what's implied far more attractive than what's shown eg. I really get nothing from Lee in his speedos. But as far as Lucas & JP versus Mr Thornton... I really don't know why they work so well for me. I do love the idea of a man being sort of masterful (as opposed to RL where I'm always the one in charge). Maybe I want masterful and raunchy but just not displaying everything? :) Mr Thornton is utterly beautiful though and sometimes the photos you post make my stomach ache with all the pretty.

Oh and re. the bathroom, it used to be on the outside wall and had a window. But since our extension it became a room in the middle of the house, with a lovely view onto the lounge :) So the window has to be taken out and the wall bricked up.

Ooh but Thornton is very masterful Twigs, I would put him in the same category as Lucas and JP, just a different era.

He is, Small, but not overtly so. I think of Lucas & Jp as being "this is what Im going to do", whereas Mr Thornton is "this is what I'd like to do - if it's ok with you".

Twigs, you have got very picky just lately.

I am genuinely baffled that anyone would apply the adjective pretty to Mr Thornton. He is far too rugged and furrowed to be described as pretty, methinks. And let us not forget that he runs a business empire and is very much the Master and In Charge. I present my first exhibit for the defence.

I think Small has a very good point that Mr Thornton is just from a different era. I'm sure Lucas & JP would've been the same back then. Don't misunderstgand me, I do love Mr T - that kiss, is Our Man's second most wibblesome moment ever, for me.

What I seem to have discovered, Massive ::picks words with care:: is that there are ladies who like to dress up as Eccentrica, complete with ::cough:: additions, and then pose for the camera in :cough:: interesting postures.

As I have said before, anyone who wants an object lesson in masterfulness and virile virtue has only to look at or read how Mr Thornton leads all the mill-owners of Milton through the strike.
