Nope - was just very pleasantly surprised by the place tbh. Expected it to 'chavvy' chaos tbh, and obviously anywhere that big has its moments but can't really fault it for value for money.

We had a Gold Apartment last year - basically a small 2 bedroom flat - but still had our meals included so extra space but no cooking or washing up. They have a creche as well, although we've never used it.

About the only trying thing is that to get a decent seat for the evening (i.e. one near the front where you can sit and get merry but still keep an eye on the kids who all tend to sit right in front of the stage or are dancing with the redcoats) you need to queue up early (45-60 minutes before door open depending on what act is on). It's a relatively small price to pay though - we just took it in turns while the other wandered around with dd, and there are usually redcoats wandering up and down - we even had magicians doing close-up magic one evening last year!

What a pain Maud! I went on the Tuesday morning last year and had the whole place to myself for almost the whole two hours - bliss!

I also made a CD in the recording studio - DD is after us doing one together this year...haven't promised anything just yet!

S'ok Massive - mobile internet and I believe they have an internet cafe at Butlins (although I've yet to see it open I mus admit)

Realised that 'The Showman' is in fact Masuku from Strikeback eps 3 & 4.

There seems to be a staggering shortage of actors in this country given the amount of crossovers we've discovered.
