just a portakabin maybe, till we can find a proper building?

I agree it's a rare man who can get away with skimpy swimwear, but RA still has the edge there for me - mind you, he could wear one of these and I'd probably still choose him.over DC tbh.

Saw something the other day about a guy whose mum hadn't got to grips with LOL. She sent him a text saying 'Bad news - your grandad died last night. LOL Mum x' thinking it meant lots of love!

I've not watched much RH but I think it's the one where he does away with Marion.

I have started following a couple of things of Twitter & Facebook to try and find out more about the CA premiere if anyone's up for it. I think it's 29th July here & week before in US.

PassTheTwiglets · 22/03/2011 08:10

My MIL does that too! She writes things like "hope you have a really happy birthday, LOL" - makes it sound like she's being sarcastic :)

RH - ah, of course. Ta for the explanation.

Definitely up for CA premiere. Whereabout on Facebook is it - is it on your page? If not, can you post it on my wall, so I can follow too... (or here, if that's easier). Ta!

DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 08:37

Have a look on my wall - I can't remember what the first one was! Also I'm following Mark Boardman on Twitter so you can follow him. He runs a website with info about premieres, concerts, slebs appearances etc.

BTW was reading your Mojito comments the other night - your brother is hilarious - loved the comment about Bono being a nosy turd!

That's my youngest BIL - he is funny, isn't he? My brother is on there but he doesn't post much.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 10:16

Morning all.

Describing Mr Thornton as rugged, Twiggy, was not [ahem] a brave attempt. It was a Simple Statement of the Blindingly Obvious Truth. Just look at that rugged brow and chiselled jaw.

Crikey. Has the action moved onto Facebook now? Is Twitter, like, sooo last week?

::Goes to recline on the chaise longue for a few moments, contemplating Mr Thornton and his Indisputably Rugged Features::

DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 10:29

Maud - you are a big tease!

DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 10:30

Twigs - Facebook if Paramount Pictures

PassTheTwiglets · 22/03/2011 10:45

Ooh, nice! That wasn't the doctor I was expecting! (Nobody expects the... oh, you know).

I've always been more into Facebook than Twitter - I find it hard to keep up with conversations on Twitter and it takes ages to wade through all the stuff you're not interested to find the stuff you are. I Facebook pretty much every day but only Twitter every now and again. Also decided I had to tone down the Twirting :)

Mr Thornton being rugged - well he is definitely very manly but I think of rugged as being more sort of... scruffy?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 10:56

Well, Spiro and Twiggy, I am a great beleiver in diversity and amongst my weaponry are fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency and an almost fanatical devotion to Mr Thornton.

We are probably working to different definitions of rugged. For me, rugged and manly are pretty much synonymous, bringing in all those stereotypically 'male' characteristics of decisive, in charge, commanding etc as well as the lantern jaw and imposing brow. I don't think of it as including scruffy, because if it did then this would be the epitome of ruggedness!

SupermassiveLBD · 22/03/2011 11:08

Morning ladies! Here I come wanting a nice sit-down and the odd thud and I am bamboozled by strange doctors and guys in swimwear, skimpy or otherwize. Very confusing, especially in my state of mind.

Spiro was right about the RH episode I was referring to. Now all it neede is confirmation that I had identified the right episode to start with. Whatever the case, he looks rough, or rugged or whatever you like to call it. And totally gorgeous with it. I just wanna wrap him up and take him home. To think I never used to go for the scruffy look, as well.

Did we get no shots from RH3 in the list, or were they deemed a little too hard-core?

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 22/03/2011 11:10

That last pic of yours is not so much rugged as rugose, Maud.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 11:14

Bonjour, Massive. Comment ca va?

Well, I didn't put any pics from RH3 on the rugged list because I wasn't regarding rugged as a euphemism for unwashed, scruffy and greasy, but there you go. Didn't Spiro post one of the massive sword, though? In furtherance of the Academy's equal opportunities policy. Remarkable standards of dentistry for the 12th century, don't you think?

SupermassiveLBD · 22/03/2011 11:26

Ca va not too bad, merci, Maud, guests are out sight-seeing.

I do sort of agree on your definition of rugged. However, he looks so delicious scruffy that it's a great excuse to indulge.

What big white teeth you've got, indeed, Mr Wolfie. Maybe he has someone round of nights to brush them for him, before she starts rubbing his feet.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 11:35

I do hope your guests aren't eaten by crocodiles as they traverse the tropical island, Massive.

So, will you be heading off to Nottamun soon, with your little twiggy brush and a pot of soot, all the better to clean the wolfie teeth?

SupermassiveLBD · 22/03/2011 11:49

Attaboy, crocs! No seriously, they are quite nice people. Especially with a little ketchup.

I fear that due to the aforementioned guests, someone else is having to take on all the Gizzy-sitting duties. I don't know though whether they would go along with all I put up with from him.

As the poet said.
I thought I was a fool for no one
But ooh baby, I'm a fool for you

And FYI he prefers Pearl Drops.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 11:53

Well, I should have been doing something useful but have spent the whole morning on t'internet!

I am desperate to have a go at doing a YouTube vid. I've definitely got enough CD's to source the clips from and everytime I hear a song now I'm having mental images of the right picture to go with it.

I must see if I can download some trial editing software.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 11:56

I doubt, Massive, that anyone ::adjusts pince-nez:: would permit Gizzy as many liberties as you would. Ahem. While you are, perforce, spending less time in the Academy, I shall amuse myself by imagining that it is because you are detained in Nottamum, busy with the Duraglit and Pearl Drops. Meanwhile, we will ensure that Messire Gisborne is not neglected as an object of study and veneration in these august academic cloisters.

DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 11:59

Just found which would probably be good for my own pervy personal purposes! Wink

SupermassiveLBD · 22/03/2011 12:07

I have to admit I too hear songs and long for vids to go with them, Spiro, but i have absolutely no hope of ever being able to do something technical as make a vid.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 12:10

Have just found a slightly less twee version of the same song by Ella Fitzgerald Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 12:10

Have we seen this one before? I suspect we have, but it offers .

::Sends Great Aunt Edith's ostrich feather fan to Massive::

DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 12:13

Was listening to last night (one of our Zumba tunes) and thought Loca...how terribly appropriate!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 22/03/2011 12:16

Mercy. You must really go for the burn with that one!

DumSpiroSpero · 22/03/2011 12:19

That's one of the tamer ones. There's another which I don't know the name of - it's about 6 minutes long and the whole thing is done, legs akimbo, knees bent and basically consists of lots of pelvic thrusting at various speeds. It is absolute bloody torture - how any of us manage to walk afterwards is totally beyond me.
