no nor am I Twigs, but there are about 400 and something reads!

TheSmallPrint · 16/03/2011 14:09

Our Spiro is famous!

DumSpiroSpero · 16/03/2011 14:18

You can log into Wattpad using your Twitter ID, which is how I registered. Would probably not be writing under that name otherwise Grin!

I actually made a 'Sparky's' soundtrack to listen to while I was writing - is all v. mushy!

400 reads, wow!!!

DumSpiroSpero · 16/03/2011 14:50

I believe Phoenix has been giving me the odd plug on Twitter to the other RA fans! Grin

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 16/03/2011 14:57

I can plug you lots more if you want, Spiro... I really haven't done anything, only that my activity on Wattpad is tweeted and I also responded to a question from someone else on Twitter who was surprised that I had discovered a new fic!!!

I think you can link stories on Wattpad to YT videos and pictures so maybe you could add something like that...? Only a suggestion.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/03/2011 15:04

Just a quick wave at you all before I immerse myself in the tide of RL again.
I am longing to read the latest chapters, Spiro. And no wonder it's doing so well -- it's a quality read.

DumSpiroSpero · 16/03/2011 15:17

Thanks Phoenix, all sounds a bit teccie for me although I'd love to have a go at putting a YouTube vid together, but wouldn't know where to start!

Hello ladies.

::Collapses on the common room Chesterfield, fanning self with lace-trimmed hankie::

You will deduce that I have just finished reading Spiro's story.

::Dabs corner of eye::

Let's raise a toast to Spiro and the start of her fiction-writing career

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/03/2011 15:57

Well, Spiro, if that's the tone for the afternnoon ....

::::

PassTheTwiglets · 16/03/2011 16:00

Indeed, a toast!

Saw the clip from 7.5 seconds into that vid, Spiro and decided I need to save it for when I can give it the proper attention :) But just what is that taken from? I don't remember it at all. Wowsers, though.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/03/2011 16:01

I'm so discombobulated I can no longer spell!

And here's something for fans of the Gisborne profile and fringe flop

TheSmallPrint · 16/03/2011 16:19

not seen that one before Spiro but will certainly be watching again!

DumSpiroSpero · 16/03/2011 16:29

The vid is new one I think that someone just tweeted a link to. 7.5 secs is definitely John Porter rather than Lucas but I couldn't tell you which episode it's from, Twigs.

Thanks for all the toasts - glad you enjoyed it! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/03/2011 17:13

Small? Are you still here? . Either I need a new lorgnette or the whole thing is out of focus but anyway ...

TheSmallPrint · 16/03/2011 17:22

I'm now poolside Maud but looking forward to opening that when I get home.

PassTheTwiglets · 16/03/2011 17:30

That Gisborne fringe looks worryingly like a young Cliff Richard there... :o

I was just about to Google a Cliff Richard discography, to find apposite RA photos to post when it hit me - this is why my house is a mess and nothing gets done these last few months :o

PassTheTwiglets · 16/03/2011 17:31

Any water-aerobics instructors there, Small?

SupermassiveLBD · 16/03/2011 17:33

And a toast from me, too Wine
Spiro, you outdid yourself. What a lovely story, and desperately swoonworthy without being sickly sweet. I loved the way you tied up all the loose ends in the most believable way. Everything was perfect - characters, plot, dialogue.

And the Big Scene was just right -- not too much and not too little. Very well observed too, I must say Wink

I want a John Standring of my own!

Even so, I was darkly delighted by Maud's Gizzy pic. but he looks so wickedly noble in it I suppose I should be referring to him as my Lord of Gisborne.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 16/03/2011 17:41

Golly, if they have aerobics instructors like that Small will be spending all her time at the pool. and we'll all be trying to locate it on Google Earth.

Twiggers, Guy says Do Not Speak To Me about Cliff Richard. He is so miffed he might just go into one of his strops and brandish his big sword Grin

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 16/03/2011 17:51

And the Big Scene was just right -- not too much and not too little.

That was exactly what I said to Spiro - it was pitched absolutely perfectly, wasn't it?

Oh, Guu-uuy! Congratulations, and jubiliations....

PassTheTwiglets · 16/03/2011 17:55

Oh, dear God. I've just been on the phone to the Garrick thee-ay-ter, asking about tickets for a kid's show in the summer holidays (we're staying in London for 3 days - can't wait!). The box office chappie said "sorry, we are only booking for Pig-mah-lion" at the moment..." I was a bit confused and went to their website. Turns out he meant "Pygmalion"

SupermassiveLBD · 16/03/2011 18:02

It's Sir Guy to you, Mistress Twiglets. And Dame Massive was wrong. I only get my big sword out if you BEG

'Ere, Gizzy, I'm not bein' funny, but less of the Dame , alright?

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 16/03/2011 18:05

OMG Twiggy, I despair of today's yoof, I really do. I wonder how long box office chappie had been working for them.
