I am pleased and proud to have been of service, Maud.
As the actress said to the bishop. Or vice versa.

Fret not, MIL, that's only when it's administered by a tall, dark, blue-eyed leather-clad hottie with a bad case of the rampant imperatives. Others need not apply.

...he's even more fit in real life

You know I couldn't possibly comment.

So that's a yes, then Grin

Eeeks, Massive! (but :o at I Like It Rough) What's happening on the blogs then? I never read them - any to recommend?

So the aforementioned felt-pen eyeliners are the liquid ones then? I have one of the 'dip in a pot' type as it was suppose to be the best one around (cheapy Rimmel job) but I couldn't do it at all :(

You know I couldn't possibly comment.

::Teapots at four o'clock! Eek!::

Fly me to the moon, indeed.

::swoon::

I am under-qualified to advise anyone on macquillage, but the advantage of the felt pen types is that it's easier (for me) to get the right amount on the brush than with the dippy (so to speak) ones.

Gratuitous profile porn

And two for the price of one here

TheSmallPrint · 14/03/2011 15:43

Just use the pencils, they are easier to smudge vaguely into the right direction, liquid eyeliner = clown faced Small.

Thank you for the profiles .

I managed to watch RH yesterday and Smallboy Major watched too. Ha ha now I have a proper excuse.

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 15:59

My skin is too thin for pencils, worse luck
.

I am always in the market for a nice bit of gratuitous profile, Maud. I could write a sonnet to that noble nose. But don't worry, I won't.

Who did Smallboy Major want to be, Small? Robin, I am guessing.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 14/03/2011 16:10

He kept asking who the baddies were so obviously I had to tell him. I don't think he will appreciate the finer qualities of our particular baddy.

I always soften the pencil on the back of my hand before putting to my wrinkled delicate eye.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/03/2011 16:30

Ah, so many conflicting ideas. Perhaps we need a tutorial on the correct application of eyeliner?

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 16:40

OMG! My mum is lurking on Gransnet - help

As for you, Maud, and your not commenting (grr Envy) I think you should be warned that I have contacted MNHQ and requested that they provide a custard pie emoticon ASAP! Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 17:03

I am loving the model for the eyeliner tutorial, Maud. Can I take him home when we've finished? If no one else wants him, that is?

PassTheTwiglets · 14/03/2011 17:15

Massive, how about this for a starter: "Richie supposes his noses is roses" (with apologies to Brown/Freed)

Sorry Spiro but had to LOL at the idea of having one's mum on Gransnet - oh, the horror! I'm presuming she doesn't know your MN name?!

Teapots at four o'clock!
Fly me to the moon, indeed.

Are you channeling Bertrand Russell, Maud? :)

Small, score on having an excuse for RH! We have got out of the habit of Hood o'clock since Disney but must get back into it soon.

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 17:20

She doesn't know my name but is probably not beyond sussing out that she only has to type Richard Armitage into the search bar and she'll find me Blush

TheSmallPrint · 14/03/2011 17:23

whats her name, can we search her? Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 17:43

She hasn't registered yet.

PassTheTwiglets · 14/03/2011 18:05

I can just imagine her posts...

AIBU: To not know what a BWWMD is?

Food: Why does my daughter keep going on about Twiglets?

General Health: my daughter apparently has a disease called SMFV - should I be worried?

There must be more but I have to rush out for an horu or so...

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 18:18

So long as she doesn't start asking about dragon butter & bumsex Confused!!!!

PassTheTwiglets · 14/03/2011 18:44

I've still never dared google dragon butter... there are some things I think I'd rather not know!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/03/2011 19:35

Well, Twiglets, I thought I was channelling Biggles and Francis Albert Sinatra, but what do I know?

::Still trying to work out the Bertrand Russell connection::

I suppose it was only a matter of time before dragonbutter and bumsex found their way onto this thread, as once again the tone plummets. Poor Spiro. You must do all you can to discourage your mum from joining. Otherwise ....

Food and drink/health: My daughter drinks a bottle of Polish cordial a day. Is she a problem drinker?

Home and garden: My daughter has broken five kitchen tables in the last six months. Can anyone recommend a furniture store whose wares are less flimsy?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/03/2011 19:38

::A few minutes Googling later::

Ah, the celestial teapot.

::The tone rockets skywards, just like the teapot::

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 19:57

My daughter has broken five kitchen tables in the last six months.

If only...Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 20:30

Grin @ Spiro's mums's supposed posts, courtesy of Twiggy and Maud.

The antidote to the bad stuff was very efficient, it had me thinking ignoble thoughts right away.

The celestial teapot is a new one on me. It just goes to prove how very educational this thread is.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/03/2011 21:25

Indeed, Massive. Who needs the Open University when you have the Academy?

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 14/03/2011 21:27

Hello!!

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 21:30

Hi Phoenix - how's your neck today? Have just seen you of Twitter - will have start paying you agents fees Grin
