just a portakabin maybe, till we can find a proper building?

Haven't had Gizzy - on screen or in a glass - for ages, sadly. The Drover is tantalising me, waiting to reveal himself (ahem) when the telly cooperates, as I'd rather wait than have a less than satisfactory experience on the laptop.

Although I have a fondness for jazz and swing, I enjoy nearly all musical types except heavy-metal head-banging stuff and Coldplay, with an honourable exception made for Fix You. Which reminds me, during the party we said we were going to hold our own awards ceremony, didn't we? Fix You gets the award for .

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/03/2011 20:28

Just seen Spiro's link. That shows looks beyond fabulous. I wanna go too!

::re-mortgages::

Right. Still feeling yuk so am signing off. See you soon.

TheSmallPrint · 13/03/2011 20:29

Or it may win the 'Most Likely To Make Small Switch The Video Off' award.

Maud, yes, 'twas me wittering on about Big Cook Ben :) No I haven't seen that show - are they rude then?! Shock Sorry you are feeling bleurgh - ill-wise or fed-up wise? My cold that's been here for a fortnight in dribs and drabs is back again so I'm off to bed too. Have been feeling really rubbish lately (no energy/enthusiasm at all) and I'm not sure if it's lack of sleep or from being overweight & unfit, but as the former is easier to rectify I'll try that first :) Sleep well, anyway - hope you feel better in the morning.

I'm not really a jazz fan but then I don't know much about it.

'Twas no problem with the amazon thing - he is lovely and understanding :)

Talk to me about felt-pen eyeliners then. You don't mean liquid ones? I've only seen liquid and pencil types - can anybody link me to a felt-tip one?

Night all, a demain!

TheSmallPrint · 13/03/2011 20:31

Night Maud, hope you feel better soon.

TheSmallPrint · 13/03/2011 20:34

(or even proffers)

SupermassiveLBD · 13/03/2011 20:36

I think I nodded off, I seem to have lost half an hour! this is extremely worryingGrin

On the subject of music i don't now much about it but I know what I like. Bits from every era, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what tickles my fancy. I do seem to draw the line at boy bands however and what's that extremely young lad all the tweenies rave over?

Sorry you are feeling bleugh, Maud. Hot drink with medicinal shot of your choice for you Brew and best wishes for a peaceful night.

Night to you, Twiggy, too. No Angry Birds, OK?

DumSpiroSpero · 13/03/2011 20:39

Night Maud & Twigs - hope you're both feeling brighter tomorrow.

I'm off for a bath & then back to the writing I think.

DumSpiroSpero · 13/03/2011 20:41

Massive I have H next to me on the sofa & I just opened your link (and closed it again pronto) Grin

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/03/2011 22:14

Hello, I've finally managed to drop in...

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/03/2011 22:23

It's been a difficult 2-3 days - I somehow managed to hurt my neck on Thursday evening doing some stretching and as a result gave not been a happy bunny. It's a little better but still hugely troublesome.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/03/2011 22:35

I might just add that we how have HD TV (High Definition TV) at our house!!! And now I can watch YouTube on the telly!!! Endless possibilities!!

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 08:26

Well Good Morning Ladies!

Oh, yes indeedy! Although to be fair it was a comedy dream rather than anything more, ahem, interesting Wink.

I had a couple of random unrelated ones, then suddenly I was working for the Beeb in a huge open plan glass fronted office that also housed...you guessed it Grin (and Connie, weirdly - they appeared to be working together). He looked liked Lucas but had the whole JP cheeky grin, twinkly eyes thing going on.

So obviously, on my lunchbreak I rushed off to a quite corner to get on MN and let you guys know, not realising that the powers-that-be had a policy of randomly hacking into peoples laptops and displaying what they were up to on a huuuuge screen at one end of the room Blush

...and then I woke up. So actually not that exciting in the retelling - you had to be 'there' I guess.

PassTheTwiglets · 14/03/2011 09:35

How sweet of you to include us in your dReAms :) So did he find out you were messaging us? Maybe tonight he needs to find out that you have been naughty and need punishing :o

Phoenix, ouch on the neck. Neckaches are awful, it's the sort of thing you just can't ignore, isn't it?

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 11:41

How utterly lovely about your dream, Spiro, and I second Twiggy's thanks for your generosity in including us in it.

I do like the fact that you saw Lucas as happy and smiling -- he's beautiful when he's angsty, as you might say, but it would be nice to think of him as content with life.

Here's hoping that tonight he comes to punish you for making lascivious remarks about him on a public system. Grin

Close your eyes Blush

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 12:09

He didn't find out - I realised what was showing on the screen just as he was about to walk past and y'know when you're deperately trying to shut down a window and it seems to take forever? It was like that but he was reading something and walked past without looking up!

PassTheTwiglets · 14/03/2011 12:10

Close your eyes

... and Twigs is now out of action for the rest of the day.

:o

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 12:10

Oh, yeees! Although I have been known to talk in my sleep so perhaps better decamp to the sofa/spare room just in case Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 12:22

making lascivious remarks

You didn't exactly specify what you said, Spiro, but I seem to have guessed right Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 12:29

y'know when you're deperately trying to shut down a window and it seems to take forever?

The familied RA fan's occupational hazard. Second only to opening a YT clip in a crowded room to find you have forgotten to plug in the earphones and it is announcing to the in-laws and sundry other assembled hordes that you like it rough.

ROFL Massive - nearly just spat my lunch out at that one! Grin

I didn't manage to post my message, so it was actually everyone else's posts he'd have got an eyeful of!

(although mine was going to be along the lines of "You won't believe who's in the same office and he's even more fit in real life" - not too objectionable surely Hmm)

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 12:58

although mine was going to be along the lines of "You won't believe who's in the same office and he's even more fit in real life"

Yeah right. Wink

Remember what we were saying about baulky windows?

It just happened to me, Mr M rocked up wanting to peer at the news which I usually have open, and every flipping thing I did have up bar my e mail was Armitage related as the blogs are having a special week. Shock Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/03/2011 13:21

Morning all.

::Maud looks a little pale and wan and wonders whether she needs a medical opinion on what ails her::

The Clarins liquid eyeliner pen is here, . I used to have a very fancy Estee Lauder thing which was a little brush you dipped in a pot of liquid eyeliner - much like Chinese calligraphy - but they don't seem to do that any more.

...he's even more fit in real life

You know I couldn't possibly comment.

::ducks while Twiggy throws things at her, simultaneously fanning self::

They say laughter is the best medicine and so I am now cured. Massive, I feel your pain.
