actually it all went very well, DS had a great day AND behaved himself right up til bedtime. I am shattered though.

I would love to watch Brian Cox and especially wish that DS could watch with me, I think he is really inspirational (too much?) and would be a fantastic teacher.

We have an apple tree. It's a pita.

TheSmallPrint · 06/03/2011 21:03

Sorrry I would love to watch but am watching Being Human

SupermassiveLBD · 06/03/2011 21:04

Wine Wine Wine

Here, Small, have some more!

TheSmallPrint · 06/03/2011 21:07

ta Massive

SupermassiveLBD · 06/03/2011 21:15

Maud, have you seen the Annie Lennox interview in today's Independent?

Small, that sounded like the voice of desperation, What else can we do to help you recuperate?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/03/2011 21:16

I too am with the Undead.

::Polish cordial = Dutch courage::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/03/2011 21:33

::Therevy gives Massive permission to think Wolfish thoughts::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/03/2011 21:35

I usually only read the gardening bits of the Sunday paper, Massive, but I will certainly read that.

Perhaps Small would like some company as she drinks her wine?

SupermassiveLBD · 06/03/2011 21:44

You mean like Maud?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/03/2011 21:51

That's even more wolfish than I was thinking. I was (possibly mis)remembering a still pic which you posted of him looking very wolfy.

A treat for Massive

Nothing like a bit of lycanthropy on a Sunday night.

TheSmallPrint · 06/03/2011 21:57

OMG I can't wait for next week!

DumSpiroSpero · 06/03/2011 21:59

Brian Cox...suspect he should probably be on the other thread!

Just thinking, would a mid week knees up be a good idea - more likely we'll all be around (and I know Mr Spiro will be out on Wednesday!)

Glad you survived, Small - how long til the next one?

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 06/03/2011 22:02

6 months Spiro, just enough time to recover Grin

TheSmallPrint · 06/03/2011 22:05

Too much hair in that last one Maud, it's all I could see as the photo revealed itself.

I may have to watch Strike Back again tomorrow, I think Mr Porter and I need to get reaquainted, I've been too Aussie of late.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/03/2011 22:07

Maud, I am a quivering heap of jelly --it's a bit difficult to type wiv yer protoplasmic tentacles and all that, but I'm struggling on.

But oh, lawdy, the way that photo loaded, I could just see one blue eye and a dark eyebrow and the raven locks at first, and then the Viking longboat prow of a nose...

Rather spiffing, old thing, in other words.

DumSpiroSpero · 06/03/2011 22:09

I though so - is your little one 12th September? And Twigs & I have 13th Sept babies, so if We're all still here we can hit the virtual vino en mass Grin!

John Porter...thud!

::Crawls out from behind sofa::

Eeek. I have missed more of this series than I've seen. That was, erm, unsettling. But as the lovely doctor would no doubt agree, .

SupermassiveLBD · 06/03/2011 22:10

Small, as you see above, it certainly floated my boat.

Wednesday or any weekday is good for me this week. Or next week, until Thursday...

PassTheTwiglets · 06/03/2011 22:12

Smallio! Glad the party went well and that DS had a great time. Parties are exhausting, aren't they?

We used to have a figtree in our teeny tiny old house before this one - the figs were always green and hard though, they never ripened. Small, why is your apple tree a pita? I wsas hoping I could plant it, leave it, then eat from it :)

LOL at Prof Cox being on the other thread, Spiro - I was thinking exactly the same thing. My cousin did a gig with him and said he was probably the nicest person he's ever met. I do quite fancy him, I have to say - though does he ever stop smiling? Small, I concur - he is very inspirational. I spent most of tonight's episode frowning though - it made my brain itch.

Spiro, has DD had her birthday yet? I saw your photos on your profile - those cupcakes are amazing!!! I wasnt sure if it was a recent thing or an old photo though.

PassTheTwiglets · 06/03/2011 22:14

Silly me, of course your DD is the day before my DS - don't know what I was thinking! Wed is good for me, btw.

TheSmallPrint · 06/03/2011 22:14

Yes Spiro that's right, a right p up few drinks will be in order!

Massive that's hilarious how we see the reveal so differently. Grin

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 06/03/2011 22:15

Whenever people talk about Brian Cox I always think of this person but of course you are talking about this person...

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 06/03/2011 22:16

Evening all!!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/03/2011 22:16

I knew that photo would probably only appeal to Massive, being somewhat generous in the lank hair department. But I concede that the profile is most impressive and I like the pensive expression and the fact that it's almost monochrome.

::whispers: Massive - why does he look as if he's got snow in his hair? I don't remember any Winter Wonderland episode. Banishes the thought that this might be giant Gizzy dandruff::

Do you think we'll still be here in September? We'll have to find a new seam of material in the YT mine.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 06/03/2011 22:17

I've been watching the final episode of South Riding...

I need to catch up on Being Human - have missed a few weeks.
