Do come in. It's never too late to enrol. We have an extensive programme of rigorous academic study and a never-ending supply of Chateau Gizzy and ratafia biscuits.

Talking of big cats. I suspect you lot are getting ready to go off coms for a bit of educational family entertainment.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 18:36

Golly, MrsLN how big is your telly that you can notice details like that? And how close to the screen do you sit?

MrsLucasNorth · 01/02/2011 18:47

Not v. big at all - 37" I think. Spotted it on a YouTube clip.

You just know we are all diving off to Yt looking at the pupils don't you.

itsalarf · 01/02/2011 19:07

DH just put Elsa on without me even having to ask!

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 20:19

Mrs LN have you looked at whether his pupils are dilated??

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 01/02/2011 20:24

I haven't got a copy of George Gently but I watched when it was on TV last year. The episode he was in is actually the pilot for the series and was billed as a one-off special, but at least one series have now been made. It's actually much better than I expected. Martin Shaw is a good actor, if rather pompous. The sidekick is mildly irritating. Perfectly watchable however. I would wait until you have seen the full episode before watching the last of the clips on YT - no sense in spoiling the story. Mr A is not in it as much as as you might hope or expect, but there's lots of leather. Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 01/02/2011 20:26

I have now SmallPrint!

In the scene I noticed hers the shot is over his shoulder so you can't see his face, but looking at a couple just before that shot - no, not excessively!

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 20:30

'not excessively' lol! I'm sure he found her very unappealing Mrs LN!

I'm going to have to watch SB again now aren't I? Still waiting for my Spooks DVDs to arrive, they are still not in stock!

MrsLucasNorth · 01/02/2011 20:35

She's a very attractive woman, let's be honest, and I wouldn't have a clue whether they got on or not, but in theory at least, you don't necessarily 'click' with someone just because they're good looking, do you?

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 20:41

No that's very true, probably more for women than men I would have thought, as aren't they meant to be more driven by visual stimulus whereas we look at other qualities? < hides photos of Lucas in very tight jeans>. Grin

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 20:44

Saying that, unless they are turned on by people watching, I imagine that it's quite difficult to find 'performing' in front of others not very sexy.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 01/02/2011 20:44

That Radio Times guy picture is remarkable, though some people don't like it. I read on the mother board about how (during Season 1 I think) Radio Times offered a Robin Hood poster where you could get Robin and the gang on one side and a similar pic of Guy to that one on the other side. Apparently they wouldn't send them to non-UK addresses so people ordered multiple copies and sent them to overseas friends. Needless to say I know which side of the poster I would have displayed if I had ever got one of them...

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 20:50

That last post didn't make sense but Im sure you know what I meant!

I love the term 'Mother board' Phoenix Grin. Whenever I see RH, Marion and Guy together in a photo I do think Guy looks a bit like their dad

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 20:51

Evening ladies, so how was Elsa?

Well, at least I didn't know about RH when it first came out so I didn't have the great poster dilemma. Because I don't know who I'd have dared ask to get me one Blush

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 21:03

I missed most of Elsa due to bedtime routine and then DH on the phone talking very loudly. I will watch on iplayer tomorrow.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 21:10

Poor Small, I shall await a report from someone else then. Re Guy looking like Marion and Robin's dad. They do look like a couple of teenagers to me, and act like 'em too. But I wouldn't put Guy down as the fatherly type. Well he has a bad record on that subject after all.

LOL @ the pupil talk, you ladies are meticulous researchers. I'd never have thought of looking.

I do like the Radio Times pic, Phoenix. The only thing is the leather does look a bit suspect, as Techno was pointing out the other night. A bit on the glossy side. Maybe they shone it up with Photoshop, who knows.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 01/02/2011 21:28

Was out being cultured so have missed Elsa.

So, is that pic where Guy is hanging from the tree like a pleather-glad gibbon from the Radio Times then? It does nothing for me. But I am not the right person to offer an opinion on Guy.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 01/02/2011 21:33

I couldn't watch Elsa either - too close to bedtime - have to catch up on iPlayer later...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 21:35

Ah, Techno, but he is a very sweet and smouldery gibbon. Any monkey business from him welcomed with open arms.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 01/02/2011 21:45

Sweet? Even allowing for your tendresse towards Guy, I struggle to regard him as sweet. But look, he is on a journey of self-discovery and he's taken up meditation. Oh, and I had to explain to MissTechno what seduction is, while Robin and Guy rolled around in the leafmould after Robin suggested that Guy's mother was a strumpet. Who said tv isn't educational?

::brief interlude::

Adrian Lester has just turned up as an assassin in Merlin.

::tries not to swoon::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 21:57

OMMMMMM
Can just see him in the lotus postion floating several feet off the ground.
MrsLN would have another interpretation on that expresssion.

I thought Guy was indeed rather sweet in RH3, I think it was, when asking the Lady Marion for a date. Admittedly that side of him is not often to the fore. But who cares?

I take it you are now watching RH3 again given the revelations about his mother's morals. Poor MissTechno, the grown-up world must seem an odd place. It seems an odd place to me.

I had to google Adrian but recognised him at once. I wonder which series of Spooks we'll be getting in a couple of weeks? I must investigate the international Beeb website.

MrsLucasNorth · 01/02/2011 21:59

Oooh Techno - one of my fave Guy pics!!!

Elsa was very moving, even regardless of narrator. I recorded it on the V+ box and DD very considerately went down within 10 minutes & DH had a bath so I got to watch the whole thing in peace.

Of course by that time I was too chilled out to go and do the food shopping and have a nearly empty fridge, so have just spent an hour doing it online. I usually enjoy doing the supermarket shop but just cannot be bothered at the moment.

MrsLucasNorth · 01/02/2011 22:00

Ah, you got me Theresa!!! Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 22:00

RH 1.3, I meant, obviously. My sainted aunt wot a klutz I am today
