Do come in. It's never too late to enrol. We have an extensive programme of rigorous academic study and a never-ending supply of Chateau Gizzy and ratafia biscuits.

itsalarf I think I may possibly be the only one who prefers the short haired roles that Our Man plays, I find him least appealing with the scraggy long hair from series 3.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 15:48

Larf, we call that Barry White vid the ''Weapon of Mass Destruction'' --for obvious reasons Grin

On the hair-- I think the short hair is very elegant but as Guy is my favourite character, the long hair is okay by me, because it's him. I do find him more devastatingly handsome in S1 and S2., with the medium length and the occasional charming curl, but then I have to work on S3, haven't had the chance to look at that much.

itsalarf · 01/02/2011 15:54

I did prefer the S1 and 2 at first, but now...not sure. Oh well I'll have him if no one else wants!

It's amazing how we waver between them, I was never a Guy fan really but being on here has made me see the appeal

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 01/02/2011 16:00

This, in my view, is Guy's finest moment. The curls are, as Theresa says, utterly charming and just crying out to be ruffled.

Gosh, Larf, you have a lot of catching up to do. It was directed by Ingmar Bergman, I think.

I'm really not that interested in how his hair's cut tbh Blush, although I suppose if I was forced to a pick a character since doing all this extensive research over the last few months, John Porter would be my favourite - strong, sexy but also with a softer side and a sense of humour. I think it's such a shame they won't be able to continue the character in the next series of Strikeback - there was a lot of potential to take him so much further.

Anyway on the subject of research I just found which has some very hot clips in it and a rather appropriate soundtrack!

PassTheTwiglets · 01/02/2011 16:01

Small, I am definitely in the short-hair camp, so I will join you there! I don't do facial hair either and even Mr Thornton's sideburns are not exactly to my taste.

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 16:07

Funnily enough, I prefer him with sidies Twigs, I was just thinking, Mr T, Lucas and John P are favs due to varying sideburns.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 01/02/2011 16:15

Tee hee, MrsLN. "I like your beard" at the end is very funny.

MissTechno has just got in from school and put on a RH dvd. And so the madness is transmitted to another generation.

Fine sideburns and a slight curl behind the ear

Very rugged and manly

Slightly s-quiffy

I've just seen that Twiglet has dissed Mr Thornton' sideburns.

forgive her Techno, for she knows not what she says. Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 01/02/2011 16:34

And there was me thinking I'd get away with it if I whispered it!

MissTwiglets is also enamoured with RH these days - though it may be the 'sitting on the sofa and snuggling with Mummy' aspect that she enjoys, as the plot goes way over her head. We have a saying when we want to watch it now, as it happens - "it's Hood o'Clock!" :o

TheSmallPrint · 01/02/2011 16:38

It has only just dawned on me that Elsa is on at 7pm - just when the smallfolk go up to bed - drat!

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 01/02/2011 16:49

Twiggy, darling, you are still frightfully young and so may perhaps in time come to appreciate the qualtiies of a fine gentleman such as this.

Theresa, I think you need to buy a proxy server service to access iPlayer from overseas. Not something to do as a one off but I'll look up some info if you are interested. There is a cost, I think about £10 per month but can't swear to that.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 17:21

Well, back again after a dose of RL, and all I can say is, the past lot of posts were a very nice big spoonful of sugar, with all those pics and vids...The Botticelli angel is fine indeed but there are so many shots of him that are the stuff of legend that I am spolit for choice

And Mr Thornton, yum. That middle one, the profile, he is so handsome there, it's almost unreal.

I can't comment on MrsLN's naughty vid for the usual reasons. Grrr. But JP seems like a total honey from what I've seen of him. Which at present is about 50% Grin
Do I get this next and leave Claude for later?

Unluckily no RH fans:The Next Generation here
They thought Robins bow and arrers were naff.
Wonder what MissTwiggy and MissTechno will think of it all when they look back in twenty-odd years time and remember their mummies' little foible.

PassTheTwiglets · 01/02/2011 17:22

Theresaholeinyourmind · 01/02/2011 17:23

Thanks so much for that info, Phoenix. I have just remembered someone here who has worked in TV in the UK, I could ask her, she'd be bound to know.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 01/02/2011 17:28

::Thinks: this is the cleanest these boots have been for weeks::

Really, Twiggy, there is no need to abase yourself so. But, by the way, you may have just swallowed some Armitage dust as I have been walking those very pavements of late.
