Do come in. It's never too late to enrol. We have an extensive programme of rigorous academic study and a never-ending supply of Chateau Gizzy and ratafia biscuits.

I must admit to thoughts along similar lines with manky Guy, Small, when the horrid PLF cut his cheek with his dagger. And he needed sticking in the jacuzzi, afterwards, for sure. Aren't we awful?

TheSmallPrint · 03/02/2011 13:15

No, just caring - it's our nuturing instinctWink

Theresaholeinyourmind · 03/02/2011 13:33

Oh, yes, nurturing instinct, definitely. Only the purest motives.Smile

hahahahaha Grin depends who's with me.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 03/02/2011 14:10

Actually, I was only funning. I would never handcuff anyone who wasn't trying to hurt me,

TheSmallPrint · 03/02/2011 14:33

I have I might given the right circumstances.

MrsLucasNorth · 03/02/2011 15:24

Can I join the 'Aren't we awful' brigade with the rather selfish though that keeps creeping into my head...

"Fingers crossed, Captain America bombs..."

(I am really naughty, aren't I?)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 03/02/2011 15:34

I have no great hopes for CA actually, MrsLN, it seems very cheesy. The costumes are naffness personified.

But then they could always have found a way of making cheesiness work for them.

MrsLucasNorth · 03/02/2011 15:48

It's a big Marvel superhero blockbuster opening at the start of the summer holidays, Theresa.

I just wan to make sure he drags his backside back here to do the Rover next year (and that there's a chance of John Porter returning full throttle in Strike Back if there's a series 3)

Then he can be glory personified in the Hobbit and bugger off to Hollywood!

TheSmallPrint · 03/02/2011 15:58

No he cannot bugger off to Hollywood, they have enough Fine Actors of their own! He should stay here where he is appreciated most.

I may drag DS1 to see CA, he likes Ironman and batman and I forced him to watch Wolverine.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 03/02/2011 16:01

Wonder though if the geeky Marvel fans will approve of what they have done with the premise. It was hard enough to bring something like Superman off, I am sure and that wasn't nearly as cheesy as CA.
A fine line between ironic and naff, too. Just as long as he gets plenty of money from it, anyway.

PassTheTwiglets · 03/02/2011 16:02

Theresa, ROFL x 100 at "polishes handcuffs" :o

Re. Guy Crispin - yes it was Series 1. During the wedding ceremony... "Do you, Marian Fat-Face, take this gorgeous man, Guy Crispin..." (I may have paraphrased but the Crispin part was definitely there.

That was a nice Heinz pic.

Re TTL. I have no idea what happened. He apparently argued with one tweeter (I didn't see it) and I guess others got involved. It's weird though - I got the impression it was a thing between two people and now everyone seems to be against Lucas. Maybe it's a very large crowd and if you upset one you upset all?

PassTheTwiglets · 03/02/2011 16:03
TheSmallPrint · 03/02/2011 16:08

I know you lot don't like him but who cares! Any excuse Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 03/02/2011 16:19

Just lost a post thanking Twigs for the Crispin info. And asking how she stands re stubble, in the great facial hair debate.

Have to dash, RL calls for a while...

MrsLucasNorth · 03/02/2011 17:01

SmallPrint - I have liked Hugh Jackman since he was in Oklahoma years ago - must admit he's been well and truly bumped off my number 1 spot now though! And unlike RA, I really don't like HJ clean-shaven - I think he was definitely at his best as the Drover (hey, rhymes with The Rover - another tenuous link!)

Did you know he's presenting the Oscars again this year?

(and I totally agree with you re RA not buggering off to Hollywood - was just just trying to be a grown up)

TheSmallPrint · 03/02/2011 17:09

Yes, I would agree Mrs LN, HJ is much better a bit rough looking - clean shaven he's not as appealing. I haven't seen the Drover but I liked him in Australia and always as Wolverine . I saw last years Oscars intro and thought he was fab (despite being clean shaven!)

With regard to being grown up about RA, we all have moments of that madness but come to our senses again pretty quickly Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 03/02/2011 17:15

We saw him first!

TheSmallPrint · 03/02/2011 17:19
MrsLucasNorth · 03/02/2011 17:20

He was the Drover in Australia SmallPrint! Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 03/02/2011 17:21

I can't see my 15 minutes of insanity stopping any time soon...
