Do come in. It's never too late to enrol. We have an extensive programme of rigorous academic study and a never-ending supply of Chateau Gizzy and ratafia biscuits.

Storm, obviously. Not a bad day today. thanks, Small. Remember my dishwasher? Hopefully we'll be getting it back at the weekend...

TheSmallPrint · 02/02/2011 21:03

Not heard anything about it other than the report this morning telling them to get out quick and forget about taking things with them Sad, they've had an awful couple of months there haven't they. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as anticipated.

Glad your dishwasher is returning, I'd hate to lose mine even for a day!

Anyone seen the trailers for Outcasts with Ros Hermione? Looks like another feisty role for her, she does play them well though, she has that kind of no nonsense face. I wonder if it will be any good.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/02/2011 21:19

I really like Hermione, I'm looking forward to seeing her introduction as Ros in Spooks 5. I was impressed with her the minute I saw the first series 7 episode on DVD.

What was she like in Wire in the Blood?
Wiki tells me she was only in seasons 1-3 of that

I don't remember her in WITB, but I'm sure she was brill.

She's excellent in Spooks, really kick ass (as our American cousins might say Grin)

Stoopid phone! It let me load it then will only stream in milli seconds slots!! They have made her very angsty in this vid it would seem. I only recall small bits of angst mainly she was hard as steel. Maybe I only saw what I wanted?

I could think of some small talk..

What's a polymath?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 02/02/2011 22:20

Someone who knows a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff. Stephen Fry is one too, allegedly.

For once I had better luck than someone with YT, then. Thanks, Techno. It did look like very hard work being Ros in that first vid. So I guess it isn't all fun being a kick ass female. And beneath the hard steel she hurts a lot. Looking forward to learning more as I would luurve to enroll in the School of Kick Ass too. Instead of being a wimp. Provided it's not too much hard work Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/02/2011 22:24

Polymath = Jack of All Trades...

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 02/02/2011 22:25

Bizarrely and serendipitously, I found this on another thread.

So Lucas would be cracking at Trivial Pursuits then? Maybe Christmas evening at my sisters would be a bit more interesting with him on the team Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/02/2011 22:38

Fans self indeed.Which he does extensively
Goodness, those satin short clad botties!

TheSmallPrint · 02/02/2011 22:38

Fun, but no BOI* there Small

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 02/02/2011 22:43

Oh Lordy. The evenings weeks I spent playing Trivial Pursuit in the 80s. I've been trying to convince TechnoMan that we can throw away our sets now - we both brought a Trivial Pursuit to the marriage - as anyone under the age of 30 won't know any of the answers to the frozen-in-aspic questions.

I have just had to mention this thread on the what song makes you burst with happiness thread, to explain why I posted that Sylvester post there. We may get visitors.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 02/02/2011 22:46

So, some gender confusing going on in that video, I think...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/02/2011 22:48

Now there's a question, Techno. What song makes me burst with happiness? Any Abba song maybe, and good old YNCA

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 02/02/2011 22:54

Well, get over there and say so, Theresa!

Gender isns't binary, Phoenix!

. The vid is fabulous but contains gratuitous facial hair arrangements.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/02/2011 23:11

I thought they might feel threatened over there if another Academy member popped up.So I confined myself to a bit of a lark. Noticed someone already mentioned Dancing Queen I can't decide what my fave Abba number is anyway. Maybe Waterloo becuse of
As for the fabulous facial hair vid,, nuff said?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/02/2011 23:12

oh golly what is it with me today. LURK not lark...

itsalarf · 02/02/2011 23:20

I saw you over on the happy songs thread Techno. Don't often bump into fellow students elsewhere. Far too busy being studious of course Grin

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 02/02/2011 23:22

Now, you see, young George was a pivotal figure in my yoof so I can forgive him a lot. Although possibly not the chin stripe beard. I loved the nightclub with hundreds of Georges and Mary J Bliges.

It's always good to see Colin in his platforms. Finally, here's a treat for you.

Right. Off to bed. Sweet Abba dreams.
