Just in case we need new premises tonight... :)

Thank goodness I never became famous, when I see all the embarrassing blasts from the past the poor dears have to face.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 22/01/2011 23:31

Are we discussing dreams?

::sirens wail::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/01/2011 23:35

I'll see your BWWMD and raise you this, Techno

''Deem not that absence breeds in me aught of forgetfulness.
What should remember I, did you fro' my remembrance wane?
Time dies but never dies the fondest love for you I bear,
And in your love I'll die and in your love I'll arise again."

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/01/2011 23:39

I found it in the same place as the camel's kidneys Grin

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 22/01/2011 23:43

::thud::

Well, I must go and read a good book. Sweet dreams to you, on the banks of the great grey-green greasy Limpopo.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 22/01/2011 23:44

::Looks back at you::

One more mention of the camel's kidneys and I may become a vegan.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/01/2011 23:49

Good night to you too, Techno, thanks as always for the BWWMD, and sweet dreams, rather than offal ones.

MrsLucasNorth · 23/01/2011 08:43

You are v. naughty, Techno.

I was literally at my bedroom door having a last quick nosey when you posted WMD last night. I was forced to stand there and watch the whole thing with the volume down before going to bed! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 23/01/2011 09:59

Re. the BWWMD, I keep meaning to ask what the scene at 1.54 is from (the one where he has a towel around his waist and answers the door to a woman with short, flicky hair).

And every time I see his ship tattoo (at 56") I just think it's a Blue Peter tattoo :) Hmmm, I wonder what Lucas got his Blue Peter badge for?

We are a third of the way through Spooks 6 now, so not long until Lucas o'Clock! Am a little nervous of watching it with DH though, especially after my audible reaction to RPJ the other evening - it's going to be 10 times worse (or better, depending on your perspective :)) with Lucas!

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 23/01/2011 10:15

That scene is from Ultimate Force series 2 - he has an affair with a colleagues wife I believe.

Blue Peter badge...Grin

How's your DD getting on now Twigs?

PassTheTwiglets · 23/01/2011 10:46

Dammit and there was me saying I wasn't interested in Ultimate Force... :) Just the title is enough to put me off - boys and their toys, urgh.

DD is fine now, thanks! She was off all week and let me tell you, I cannot WAIT for tomorrow morning when both kids will be at school. I've had hardly any headspace this week so tomorrow will be bliss :)

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 23/01/2011 11:52

Oh - need for headspace - I feel your pain Twigs. We are all on the same work/school schedule in my house and it drives me mental (hence the amount of time spent in the bath with books, dvds and a bloody great lock on the door)!

I haven't seen UF - from what I can gather his character, Macalwain is not the nicest bloke judging from clips he is a bit of a hottie though

MrsLucasNorth · 23/01/2011 11:55

Techno - have just been reading the blurb on Amazon re The Crimson Petal and The White and am Shock!

Is it as rude as it sounds

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 12:42

Another one in need of headspace here, I kid you not I have hardly had a minute to myself for over a week. Just a couple of hours when I snatched a look at those RH episodes, with one eye on the garden path. As my mum used to say, I can't hear myself think.Maybe as well considering some of the thoughts I do have

But even when I am carrying out my RL duties there is always someone yammering at me for attention to whatever their particular problem of the moment is and has to have an answer RIGHT THAT MINUTE .

Do you know, I literally cannot watch the WMD before retiring as I can't then sleep and have to keep getting up for drinks of water Grin

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/01/2011 17:19

Oh Teri!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/01/2011 17:22

Twigs, is your DH completely clueless about you-know-what then? You haven't outed yourself so to speak?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 17:48

Evening Phoenix, how's tricks? Any exciting news?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 17:48

Evening all.

Oh dear. I feel guilty about posting the BWWMD now, if it deprived Theresa of a night's sleep. I thought it might help MrsLN have ::cough:: pleasant dreams. But I did include a big hint about what it was. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

MrsLN - A propos The Crimson Petal etc. Parts of it are very rude indeed. The male protagonist (I won't call him a hero) takes up with a prostitute and there are very graphic descriptions of, well, it's pretty obvious, isn't it? They're a perfect illustration of what I've said before about detailed descriptions of the mechanics of sex not being at all arousing and (for me anyway) actually being a bit yeuch. But this is a book group read and I feel I can't wimp out. I just read those bits with my eyes closed, so to speak. The rest of the book's themes and Victorian setting are very interesting.

So, who's got the Fizzy Gizzy tonight?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 17:51

Oh, and headspace. I remember headspace. Although actually I've spent today on a lovely art course and so have not been required to wash anyone's PE kit, tell them where the spare loo rolls are or think about anyone or anything apart from me, me, me.

Self-absorbed? Moi?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 17:57

Could do with some Fizzy Gizzy tonite, it was a bleuh sort of day. Lots of finicky RL jobs and the bloody printer playing up...

Techno, don't worry about the BWWMD, it's just me being silly and I stop watching it the minute I realise what it is, IYSWIM.
Bet it beats that book of yours for hotness though

I keep forgetting to mention that the nightingale is still around when we get a clear night.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 18:01
. Geddit.
Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 18:08

That was soothing, Techno. Thank you!

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 18:09

Would you like some more? .

PassTheTwiglets · 23/01/2011 18:16

Phoenix, I am out to my DH - very out, in fact :) I just try to behave a little in front of him!

Theresa, sorry you've had a bleurgh day. Better now? Mine has been very annoying - pritner problems too, eBay stress, phone broken, toilet broken... we went to Pizza Express for lunch in the hopes of injecting some pleasantness to the day but DS proceeded to climb on the chairs non-stop and blow his drink all over the table. I hate badly-behaved children in restaurants, even more so when they're mine :)

Techno, an art course, how fun! Is it a theory course (eg. art history) or are you actually doing the art?

We had Fizzy Gizzy last night (we are Prosecco fans here). Not sure what tonight will bring... we are going to watch The Tourist tonight. Not bothered about the film but we both love Venice so we're watching for the scenery.

So what else is new, folks?
