Morning! I see you lot are on a hormone high again Grin

I am not on Twitter so can onyl imagine what's goning on over there!

That Spooks clip with Maya, his voice is sooo deep I keep wanting to clear my throat Confused

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 12:56

"Close your eyes..."

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 21/01/2011 13:07

From various comments I've read, I think that he got a lot of people with "Close your eyes"...

Watched half of Between the Sheets last night while hubby safely away - and I am really enjoying it! Just as a drama, IYSWIM. I also find it interesting that The Man looks so different to Thornton, Guy, Lucas etc....even though he must have filmed it not too long before N&S. He has pitched his voice higher than many of his other roles for example, even with a similar accent, he sounds very different to Thornton. And I do have some trouble comprehending that this is the same actor who played Guy of Gisborne.

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 13:17

The difference between characters is amazing isn't it. If you've enjoyed the first 3 episodes you've got a treat to come with the rest (although you will feel slightly 'grubby' by the end).

I have just about got over that however and am thinking of trying to track down a working copy again (purely for archive purposes, of course) Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 13:27

Hello, ladies. I see we are still thudding away happily.
MrsLN that emoticon you found for me was more or less right but it needed a ''tongue hanging out'' one.

Although after this morning I could quite well not need it any more. I watched the Annie episode of RH1. And tender Twigs, you will be right off Guy when you watch that. Not that I didn't know about it before, but it seemed so bald, somehow, to see ithappen.

So I can't forgive him that. And I am not going to trot out lame excuses for him. Though I have found them. And I still can't hate him. gawd help me. Sad

Lucas is no better than he ought to be, either. What is to become of us?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 13:33

Oh, dear, what with what you have just said, MrsLN and Phoenix, it seems there is no excape for us, once the Man has got us under his spell. Lucas, Guy, Paul, JP, Thornton John/Ralph and so on. Shot through the heart, every time Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 21/01/2011 13:43

That's interesting that "close your eyes" got other people too, Phoenix! For me, it was instant, as quick as that , hook, like, and sinker. Just imagine being Maya in that scene, standing there with your eyes closed, waiting for him to kiss you and then he comes up to you really slowly and you can feel him breathing on your neck... Phoenix, any water left in that bucket?!

Oh dear, not liking the sound of the Annie episode. I think I've seen the 1st 4 now. Am planning on watching 5 later today. RH3 arrived this morning!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 21/01/2011 13:56

By Annie episode I assume you mean Parent Hood which I thought was S1.4 - so you may have already seen it, Twigs...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 13:58

Was that S2 you are watching, Twigs? the Annie one is S1.3.

I said I can't forgive him, but life was cruel in those days. I do make those excuses. I can't turn off my obsession, it seems. Once got, you stay gotten....

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 13:59

yes, Phonix I stand corrected, it was !.4, not 1.3

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 21/01/2011 14:18

BTW don't worry - I don't have an encyclopaedic knowledge of RH episode titles - it's just that I ripped the audiobook version of that episode for my iPhone a couple of days ago.

Now on train from London going to collect kiddies from school, unfortunately I still have plenty work to do afterwards. This is probably the third time I've collected them from school since September so hoping there are no big arguments between them like last time...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 14:32

Poor you, Phoenix, not a happy prospect! And I thought I was having a hard time having to do the supermarket run on my own.
I hope the kiddies behave for you.

Meanwhile after I have lugged home all my stuff I realise I have forgotten to get the two items on my list that were the cause of my deciding to do the run today instead of tomorrow.

Guy, that's another, if very minor, black mark for you. You distracted me.

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 15:29

Speaking of distracted - I nearly left for the school run without picking my keys up cos I was too busy daydreaming!

Is the RH episode you're talking about the one where he threatens to throw the little girl over a cliff?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 15:40

No, it's the one where he leaves his baby son to die in the middle of Sherwood. Supposedly.
I think he used him to help trap Robin and co by distracting them with his crying. That wasn't very nice either. But he was not all that far away from him all the time.

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 15:46

There's a baby Gizzy? Who's his mum then? I am obviously going to have to concede defeat and watch RH properly, PLF and all.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 15:53

His name is Seth. His mother was Annie, a kitchen maid. Who does say Guy has ''another side. One he can't show''

But he's not too keen on the idea of fatherhood, that much is obvious. He was supposed to be taking him to the nuns to rear.

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 15:54

Just been reading the RH reviews on Amazon and saw this:

"I can see that the plan was to have Jonas Armstrong as Hood becoming a teenage pin-up for viewers, so it was a pretty daft decision to cast the far more attractive Richard Armitage as the 'bad' Guy of Gisburne."

LMAO Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 15:57

Same name as my nephew!

You're right about being powerless to resist though - I haven't seen that episode and already my main thought on the subject is lucky old kitchen maid Blush

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 16:02

In other words, they ignored the PLF factor. It was an even dafter decision to put RA in the black leather and JA in the mud-coloured pants and slime-coloured hoodie.
Epic fail , as teenagers would put it.

Mind you, I don't think even costume reverse would have helped...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 16:05

my main thought on the subject is lucky old kitchen maid

He seems to have been reasonably kind to her, as well - except about the baby.

Here's another who would take what crumbs he was offering Blush

MrsLucasNorth · 21/01/2011 16:10

Bugger! There's another 15 quid heading Amazon's way then...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 16:11

Those poor guys at Amazon, their heads will be spinning. I was just about to hit them with Sparkhouse

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/01/2011 16:21

Here's another who would take what crumbs he was offering
I should have added ''especially if it was your 'boots on' scenario from last night.''

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 21/01/2011 16:31

What's the episode where he talks about getting one of Robin's servants to rub his feet...?
