Fab will see you here later - thought I'd killed the thread there for a minute Grin!

MrsLucasNorth · 18/01/2011 12:35

You got the sound going then Theresa? Grin!

Yup,MrsLN, I sure did. Maybe it's as well I missed it last night, ironically it would have kept me awake till all hours.

That was from CBeebies, too, wasn't it? Naughty! to you, Mr Armitage Grin

OK I'm having a slight panic, anyone here technically minded? My web based email is suddenly denying me access asking me to enter the password which it already has presaved. If I just press OK it just comes up again! This is my work email and I need it, do you think it's just a server glitch or has someone done something to my email

Theresaholeinyourmind · 18/01/2011 13:07

I am completely non-tech minded, but I had a glitch the other day where I couldn't get data entered into a website. the form kept coming up again with an error message. I changed my browser and it worked okay then. I don't know if that is any help.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 18/01/2011 13:10

What do you mean you changed your browser?

My email is through my website as opposed to hotmail etc. does this make a difference?

PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 13:12

Small, JP danced with you at the last party! (you were Peaches then, yes? I struggle with name changes!) He saw that you were going off to dance by yourself and so he put his arm round your waist for a dance... I must say, I surprised myuself with how much I enjoyed, um, channelling JP. I thought it a bit odd that people would take on a character on Twitter but I can really see that attraction now. Made me think that I would enjoy writing stuff too but I think I would feel waaaaaay too self-conscious :)

MrsLN, I've liked RPJ for a while - he first wandered onto my horizon in Casanova in 2005. Incidentally, that was my first introduction to David Tennant too! Has everybody here seen Casanova? If not, you must, you absolutely MUST. It is the best television I have seen in years. Everything about it is just..... wonderful.

TheSmallPrint · 18/01/2011 13:17

Well he tried Twigs but he was a bit full of himself so I didn't dance with him. Mr Thornton, a proper gent, did dance with me though you are correct. I was just being greedy.

I've not seen casanova (or have I?)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 18/01/2011 13:35

SmallPrint, it may make no difference. All I know is for some reason Internet Explorer was not letting me put in data into a registration form, though it seemed to do so on the surface of it as you could see the writing on the screen as I typed. But when you clicked on enter, it obviously wasn't going through.

Obviously I am clutching at straws here, hopefully someone techy like Phoenix might come along. Maybe if you send her a PM she will see it even if she is not on here atm as MN sends notification to the recipient's e mail account.

Aw, sorry - he thought he was being suave but he couldn't help showing off his pecs :)

Although there are spoilers so don't watch beyond the opening sequence if you intend to watch. It's funny, romantic, aesthetically beautiful, heart-breaking... oh I just adore it (can you tell?!) It's written by Russell T Davies.
PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 13:38

It's also quite rude :)

TheSmallPrint · 18/01/2011 13:44

Don't apologise! I am only teasing Twigs, I was just playing hard to get Wink.

I did see casanova, I was wrong, it is very entertaining!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 18/01/2011 13:49

Casanova looks great fun, adore the clothes, but they are such boys , forsooth

Hello fellow Academicians.

Can't stop but would definitely be available for a parr-tay tonight. Now, my recollection may be clouded by too much Fizzy Gizzy, but I thought I had seen SmallPrint reenacting the final scenes of Dirty Dancing with Mr Thornton. I was very envious at the time. Or was that all the product of my fevered imagination?

PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 14:41

I have the DVD (do yourself a favour if you haven't seen it) and have seen it countless times. Well, about 6. But that is more fingers than I have on my counting hand.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 18/01/2011 15:08

Twiggy LOL @ 'counting hand'!

PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 16:10

Techno, did you tell us how the theatre was? Sorry if I missed it but did you have fun?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 18/01/2011 16:33

Yes, we had lots of fun at the thee-ay-ter and then more fun still at . It was a very cultural weekend because both shows were ending soon.

MissTechno and I are now playing spot the anachronism in Merlin. Merlin has just been put in the stocks and is being pelted with tomatoes several centuries before they reached England. So it wasn't just RH that took historical liberties.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 18/01/2011 16:49

They put the anachronisms in on purpose as it is very educational to let the kiddiwinks spot them. Don't they?

We get the casino episode in RH this week.

Bit of a minor RL crisis here. I hope I won't be late to the parr-tay. But I will be along eventually, I am sure.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 18/01/2011 17:05

Hope your crisis isn't too major Theresa.

I was just reading this quote in an interview:

I'm pretty handy with a screwdriver. But is that sexy? I don't think so!'

He really hasn't a clue, has he...?Smile

PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 17:10

Oh, how wonderful - we love Mr Bourne here! I can't remember the last proper theatre I went to (our local production of Aladdin at Xmas doesn't really count!) I used to go so much when I was at work and avant les enfants. I used to spend more time at the half price ticket booth than I did at home :)

Theresa, that sounds ominous - hope you are ok.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 18/01/2011 17:11

Crisis, Theresa? Is it one for which you need a doctor? Or someone with a more direct way of solving problems?

Hope it's all fixed soon.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 17:15

ROFL, MrsLN!! I don't think he could say anything that we wouldn't find sexy :) Maybe

Oh, I remember what my last theatre trip was - Mamma Mia!

Off to dish up some Sloppy Joes and a G&T which will no doubt be refused because 'haven't had it before' = 'don't like it' in this house. I'll return for the party later.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/01/2011 17:16

Oh, fabulous pictures, Techno!! I'm always on the lookout for a new Doctor picture to post when someone is in need, and that is a beautiful one!
