No, there's no trace of Guy in there, except possibly the voice on its own is reminiscent...

I think JP is more like a 'real' version of Lucas, in.that he had a family and relationships that give him more dimensions as a character.

Sorry, you mean does JP look much like Guy, my comment was more on the acting style.

Funny how different they all are, was talking to a pal about it and she even thought Lucas and Guy were different blokes

When I first saw Strike Back, it had been a while since I saw Spooks and it seemed to have several similarities, but having watched S9 recently, and watching SB again now, the similarities seem less marked.

I don't really think that JP is a more real version of Lucas either, JP is much more a straightforward hero type than Lucas ever was.

And the family and relationships in SB are so underdeveloped that they could have left them all out without losing much (if anything).

I meant both looks and acting style really I suppose. Sometimes you catch a timbre in the voice, as you said that reminds you of one of the others..
And those photos were interesting -- I think one of them was when Thornton was mad about something!

Obviously I do not want them to be the same, it's far more interesting that they are different.

Strike Back has many flaws, but I do love it anyway!!

You have a point actually, Phoenix. I've only watched it once so far. It's a shame he probably won't be in Series 2 much as they could have really got some mileage out of his relationships.

I think it says a lot about RA's acting skills that you can separate the characters he plays so easily.

Hi di hi. No I wasn't at Birdsong. I really disliked the book - yet another contender for the Bad Sex Award - so wouldn't go to see it at the theatre. I see from the link that Sarah Caulfield lived in Adelaide - perhaps that's why her CIA officer sounded South African to me.
