And perhaps when he does get back there might be [http://tv.uk.msn.com/news/articles.aspx?cp-documentid=155828411 more Lee in his Speedos?]]

MrsLucasNorth · 13/01/2011 16:35

Academy road trip to visit Theresa's uncle then?! Grin

TheSmallPrint · 13/01/2011 17:28

Woohoo!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 18:11

But so worth it!

Did you see they want some very tall men to stand next to actors, so they would look small? They'd have to find someone pretty extreme to make a six foot two Thorin Oakenshield look short. But comely, withal.Grin

Evening all. What a day.

Would anyone care to join me in a glass of Chateau Gizzy?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 19:04

Sante, Techno! What happened? Spill!

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 13/01/2011 19:06

Make mine a large one please Techno. I have had a day like that too.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 13/01/2011 19:09

Relaxed? Surely you're just a seething mass of lust and hormones emotional intensity?

I have dvd envy. Everything I've ordered recently has arrived, except The Impressionists.

::gnashes teeth::

Nothing in particular wrong with my day, just a lot of minor aggro coupled with the fact that it's rained all day. How are things on the banks of the great grey-green greasy Limpopo?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 19:17

I have no idea of the Limpopoland weather, I have been inside all day.
As for the relaxation, after so much frenzied lust intensive study of a historical document, you have no energy left for much else. I actually forgot to put the dinner on. Arggh!

SmallPrint What happened to you?

Hello!!!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 19:22

Hello Phoenix, what sort of day did you have?

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 13/01/2011 20:00

Hello all. Been a tiring day here too. In nursery with DS this morning then left him for an hour (think he was ok!) then back to pick him up, straight to Asda, back home with 20 mins to make and eat lunch before heading back to school to volunteer in DD's class all afternoon! Am now sitting with a nice big glass of Shiraz and re-listening to Clarissa :)

Had some parents' b'day pressies today - SCORE! Sparkhouse, Spooks 8, Cold Feet 5, Persuasion (Rupert Penry-Henry-Schmenry version) and Sense & Sensibility. Lovely!! Also got £20 from bro so will use that to get Sylvester & Convenient Marriage :) I really need DS to settle in to nursery and stay by himself all the time, so that I have 2.5 hours twice a week :)

How's your hand today, Techno?

Rather annoying that there is good telly on tonight - we have watched Spooks every evening for about the last fortnight!

MrsLucasNorth · 13/01/2011 20:03

ROFL at your family pressies Twigs!

Spooks 8 had arrived at the safe house. Still waiting on VoD and Moving On.

Tonight I shall mostly be dipping in & out of mumsnet whilst sewing endless badges on swimming towel and Rainbows uniform...

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 13/01/2011 20:25

Wow to Twiggy's ::ahem:: themed birthday presents.

I have a backlog of Brownie badges to sew on, but as Brownies Inc has sold out of badge sashes I have an excuse for not doing it. Besides, at the moment I am injured. ::looks pathetic and hopes for sympathy:: Hand (or, more precisely, the hole therein) is quite annoying. Is there a doctor in the house?

MrsLucasNorth · 13/01/2011 20:40

Thankfully we don't get too many badges at Rainbows - just doing the Centenary ones from October.

Have you seen RL doc about your hand?

I have just got v. lucky. MummyLN is dropping the latest Amazon purchases over in the morning, giving the house a quick once over and then meeting me for lunch at my work's Cafe.

I will then have a lovely, tidy house & Spooks 8 to enjoy while DH is out tomorrow night.

Grin
LaVieEnTechnicolor · 13/01/2011 20:42

No, haven't been to RL doctor. I thought I might have to but then it stopped bleeding (and I imagined what our local A&E would be like).

So, MrsLN, your mum cleans your house?

::envious beyond words::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 20:48

I had to smile at Twiggy's birthday present haul, what understanding parents

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 13/01/2011 20:53

Not regularly but if I'm hugely busy or stressed out she'll pop over for me. She is retired and enjoys housework. I'm a working mum and I hate it. I also never get the house to myself for long enough to do it properly.

I usually treat her to lunch out afterwards, or top up her wine gum & malteaser supplies as a thank you Grin!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 20:56

Aren't mums great? Mine used to hate housework but said she enjoyed doing mine as giving me a break seemed more constructive than doing her own cleaning!

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 20:59

Ha ha, I just read that Amazon UK are creating 950 more jobs.
Trying to keep up with us lot, perhaps?

OP posts:
LaVieEnTechnicolor · 13/01/2011 21:19

Yes, I reckon there's one person at Amazon employed to keep up with my SMFV slippery mouse-finger virus habits!

My mum has never done my housework and never will.

::extreme self-pity emoticon::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 13/01/2011 21:29

Ah Techno, but you have Dixon.
Or is she more of a liability?

OP posts:
LaVieEnTechnicolor · 13/01/2011 21:41

Oh yes. Dixon. Neither use nor ornament.

You would be very welcome to come and eat ratafias, Theresa

::hastily searches for Mrs Beeton's Guide to Household Management and Ratafia Baking::

but I fear my stock of Armitigiana is smaller than your own and we don't have access to all your esoteric Armitigiana-screening tv channels. You would find us very dull.
