Look behind you, Dr Track, there's a wolfie on the warpath. Follow me into this cupboard where we can hide.

JohnThorntonofMiltonNorthern · 29/12/2010 23:26

And a good evening from me too, ladies.

I am disappointed (but not surprised) to find that scoundrel Gisborne exposing himself to the servants in a lewd and lascivious manner. He is most definitely not a gentleman. As a magistrate, I will deal with him severely, you may be sure.

In case you should need me again, I have left my calling card on the hall stand.

Phew, that was a close call. I think I made it.

Poor wet Sir Guy, please let me help you until Tansy returns. No no, I insist, it would be my pleasure.

Oh this is all so funny and I would love to stay up but I have to go to bed now :(

Night, all. Especially to Lee & Wolfie - thanks for joining us, boys!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 29/12/2010 23:34

Mr Thornton. I am thrilled beyond words to make your acquintance. Would you care to join me in a game of canasta?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 29/12/2010 23:36

^from cupboard
Mr Thornton, always a pleasure to see your gentlemanly face. May I put in a word for Mr Gisborne? He was sorely provoked. You have my assurance that I intend to take him in hand and will not allow this sort of behaviour to occur again.
Your &c
Mrs Holly

Theresahollyinyourmind · 29/12/2010 23:38

Night night Twigs, pleased you had a giggle.

Uh,oh, I guess I missed Johnny, then. Off to play strip poker with Missy, I take it?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 29/12/2010 23:40

From behind the parlour door

Psssst, Holly. Mr Thornton and I are very busy, translating a particularly troublesome passage in father's Plato. Kindly do not interrupt us.

Now, Mr Thornton. How about a second glass of lemon barley water? Yes, it is most invigorating, isn't it?

vintageteacups · 29/12/2010 23:41

going away for 2 days tomorrow ladies - am going to have a LOT of catching up to do when I return I'm sure but I love just reading your stories and witty lines Smile.

Where does RA live? - I'm going 'up North'

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 29/12/2010 23:42

From behind the parlour door

Good night, Twiggy dear.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 29/12/2010 23:44

He lives with near me, teacups. It's done no end of good to local property prices, I can tell you.

vintageteacups · 29/12/2010 23:44

wowsers smallbunch - how near?

vintageteacups · 29/12/2010 23:45

How close to York do you reckon?

vintageteacups · 29/12/2010 23:46

I would definately have to have a broken down car when just passing his house and pop in for a cup of tea (in a cup and saucer of course) whilst I waited for the AA man Wink

Theresahollyinyourmind · 29/12/2010 23:50

Talk about PMSL

Theresahollyinyourmind · 29/12/2010 23:51

Not at you of course, teacups, just Missy and Twiggy and their antics.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 29/12/2010 23:55

It has been rather like St Trinian's tonight, hasn't it?

Look. I have found one of the very earliest home movies of .

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 00:01

And YT is actually having itself tonight. I do so love this one. Thanks, Missy.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 00:01

behaving

PrairieOyster · 30/12/2010 00:01

You lot are so funny!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 30/12/2010 00:07

We aim to please, Oyster, we aim to please.

So glad that YT knows how to behave itself at least some of the time. (It seems sometimes that only YT and Mr Thornton have any sense of decorum).

, which Holly found in the basement.
asmallbunchofmistletoe · 30/12/2010 00:09

This daguerreotype was taken as Guy emerged from his bath

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 00:17

I like the editing of that, Missy, it fits the music so well.

I think we have to be funny, Oyster, or we'd expire from all the drooling Xmas Smile

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 00:22

I spoke too soon about YT and I just spotted something that might please but I am afraid everyone will potter off to bed by the time I post it if I wait to view it to the end. So
Visuals seem okay at least.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 00:32

Well, it's that time again. I am falling asleep. Thank you ladies for all the fun, and thank you boys for inspiring it. Goodnight and sweetest dreams to you all.
