We haven't met, Prairie. I haven't met any MNers :(

Theresahollyinyourmind · 21/12/2010 23:36

I have to laugh at myself getting my thuds from a bit of Beowulf in the original. How weird is that?

Was very upset when he got enslaved, mind you.

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:38

Have you listened to it all, Teri? Yes, it was a bit of a shocker that incident....gutted

Ha ha cupcakes...

So what is your specialism?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 21/12/2010 23:39

Speak for yourself, Holly.

bupcakesandcunting · 21/12/2010 23:41

Specialism = Pleather garmentage worn by RA as Gizzers.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 21/12/2010 23:42

Just finished the 6th CD, Oyster. And he has been rescued. The relief Xmas Grin Again, I have to laugh at myself for getting so worked up about a character in a darn audio=book. I ask you!

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:42

I really really hope he does another Heyer audiobook before he departs for NZ - a while ago someone on a board wrote to Naxos and they admitted they didn't have him lined up for another yet because he is a very busy man...but as his books have been their bestsellers this year, they must want to do more, so I live in hope....

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:44

Ah yes - the rescue - very enjoyable part of the book after all that chasing around by the Red Ship, and it gets better yet, believe me!! Superb!!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 21/12/2010 23:44

So who do you think is the gorgeous-est of all the Boys, then, cupcakes?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 21/12/2010 23:47

Maybe he would do Beowulf Oyster Wink

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:48

For me, personally, it's Mr Thornton who makes my heart go flutter flutter, but I have a very big soft spot for Guy of Gisborne, just because he looks so good in that part...maybe it is the leather...or the hair...or the stubble...or the mean looks...whatever...collapses in pool on the floor

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 21/12/2010 23:49

How about the Canterbury Tales? Plenty of scope for sauciness there.

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:50

If he did Beowulf, I would just die a happy woman!!!

I'm kind of hoping he will do The Hobbit - it's got to be a possibility....maybe?

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:53

Harry is a cutie though...

Theresahollyinyourmind · 21/12/2010 23:54

Oh yes, Chaucer, the Harold Robbins of his day. But as we have so often said, telephone directories would do. Preferably in a bit of a gritty northern accent, if possible.

PrairieOyster · 21/12/2010 23:59

I've been listening to those Words and Music poems constantly...and they are simply stunning...but you are right, it's a cliche, but he could read the telephone directory and I would still listen!!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 00:02

Lovelace wasn't bad either, was he? In the artistic sense of the word of course, morally he was a rotter.

PrairieOyster · 22/12/2010 00:02

Gonna have to say night night though...I have company of a little person who has appeared and needs to be put to bed again...and again....and again....

Byee - promise I won't stay away so long next time...

PrairieOyster · 22/12/2010 00:03

Clarissa is amazingly good, not just RA but the whole production is a stunner.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 00:04

Good night Oyster, thanks for coming to our little party.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 22/12/2010 00:05

I fear we have paid insufficient attention to Mr Thornton tonight so, as I wend my way to bed, I leave you with .

Does anyone know, by the way, how (apart, obviously, from the stop button) to separate out these strings of YT vids, if one only wants one of them?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 00:09

Mr Thornton is always in our hearts, Missy, as you know. I am afaid you may need to ask Kevin and Perry about YT technicalities.

Sweet Milton dreams, meanwhile.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 22/12/2010 00:15

Always in our hearts but sometimes displaced on our screens by the, ahem, earthier pleasures of Guy and Lucas.

Sweet castle dreams to you, too.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 00:23

It would appear so, Missy It was a good party.
Sadly there are so many more source documents for Guy and Lucas.
How good it would have been to have had three seasons of Mr Thornton.
