Welcome to our newest faculty building. Make yourselves comfortable and ignore the smell of paint. We cannot keep up with the demand for new premises.

Thanks Snowy - better than 'd'h's comment that new highlights make me look like Cruella de Ville (they don't - honest Grin)

Had plenty of time to continue listening to Venetia whilst in the chair which was a nice bonus!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 17/12/2010 20:33

Do we have to share that photo too, Snowy as well as the liquid refreshment? OMG is right, MrsLNP

OP posts:
SnowyMoon · 17/12/2010 20:34

ooh you can make that full size!

MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 20:36

Maybe GTN - must admit I prefer him of the 2.
Not sure what I'd do with DH though...

PrairieOyster · 17/12/2010 20:41

Sorry I've not been around much recently..what have I been doing? Not really sure...anyway hi!

SnowyMoon · 17/12/2010 20:46

Hi Oyster

SnowyMoon · 17/12/2010 20:47

Mrs LN there are some thud inducing photos on there I must say. I'm sure it can't be doing my heart any good looking at these photos.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 20:49

How's tricks? You working much next week or finished for Crimbo now?

TV is rubbish tonight. DH has just put on.Harry Potter but may have to sneak upstairs for the rest of BtS soon!

MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 20:52

Snowy - I don't know if you've listened to Venetia or watched Between the Sheets, but I spent most of last night in a state of permanent hot flush!

PrairieOyster · 17/12/2010 20:54

Thanks for the Chateau Giz and Polish Cordial

PrairieOyster · 17/12/2010 20:55

We're watching QI

PrairieOyster · 17/12/2010 20:58

Did someone say that BtS is only £8 somewhere?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 17/12/2010 20:58

Those were indeed top quality research material MrsLNP showed us. A belated hello, Oyster, my connection went down, those photos must have scorched some wires.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 20:58

QI not DH's thing unfortunately - I tend to stay up til silly o'clock watching them when they're repeated if I stumble across them.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 21:00

It was a few weeks ago Oyster but it seems to have just been re-released in different packaging and is now £18 a pop!

It's really good though if you are able to get hold of it.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 17/12/2010 21:01

BtS costs 18 quid on Amazon, that's all I know.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 21:08

Same on Play and it's dated 2010. I ordered mine about a month ago and it's the old version in the red box.

Story and acting is good although still not sure if RA's character is dubious or not. He is v. sexy in it though Wink!

SnowyMoon · 17/12/2010 21:10

I'm waiting for Venetia from the library Mrs LN,
bet it's not the RA version.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 17/12/2010 21:13

Well, I have got the unabridged LOTN to listen to tonight. As I said earlier, it starts off with a quote in Old English. Which is novel.

OP posts:
SnowyMoon · 17/12/2010 21:19

What is LOTN?

MrsLucasNorthPole · 17/12/2010 21:20

I suspect that LOTN would definitely send me to the land of nod Holly, regardless of whether our face man was reading it.
Have just reached the point where Edward has pursued Venetia to London and is being a chauvanist twat! The bit where Damerel basically sends her packing after telling her he loves her was heartbreaking Sad

PrairieOyster · 17/12/2010 21:21

Teri - you mean your LotN audiobook has arrived!! Woo hoo!!

I know that quote at the beginning (though I can't spell it) - it's from Beowulf.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 17/12/2010 21:21

Lords of the North, a novel by Bernard Cornwell. Mr Armitage reads the full version, there is an abridged one read by someone else.

OP posts:
Theresahollyinyourmind · 17/12/2010 21:23

Yes, makes me feel all intellectual to listen to it, Oyster. Looking forward to listening to the rest, I have a feeling it'll be a bit less refined than Venetia

PrairieOyster · 17/12/2010 21:23

LOTN - Lords of the North
By Bernard Cornwell. Read by RA
