Welcome to the new common room! Grab yourself some Twiglets and a glass of Chateau Gisborne or some Polish Cordial and come on in - the water's lovely!

Oh, yes, we like the other Richard.

Golly it is many moons since my tapdancing days, but I can stil remember a bit of the routine. I adored my tap shoes, they smelt so gorgeously of leather

PrairieOyster · 07/12/2010 23:52

I saw Richard Gere at a Q&A for Chicago, some moons ago, Renee Zellweger too.

PrairieOyster · 07/12/2010 23:54

Night then!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 07/12/2010 23:58

Definite lack of Richards in my viewing opportunities. I did see Patrick Stewart a couple of times...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 07/12/2010 23:59

Goodnight, Oyster, and happy spooking.

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/12/2010 00:05

I once spent an evening with Alan Rickman.

Goodnight everybody.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/12/2010 00:08

Well, we know all about your other Adventures, Flowers.

Goodnight and best wishes for a peaceful night, from the banks of the Limpopo.

StripeyMoon · 08/12/2010 09:46

Morning all! Oyster were those from the end of spooks? His hair was all wrong, I am Confused.

fascicle · 08/12/2010 10:42

Dodgy hair photos were for 1995 embassy bombing from penultimate episode of Series 9. Amazing what a difference hair colour/style makes.

Did anyone else see Spooks 7.1 on Watch? With the benefit of numerous Youtube viewings, I notice they have edited out some crucial Lucas scenes to fit the adverts in. Points of view here I come!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/12/2010 11:18

''Amazing what a difference hair colour/style makes.''

Sparkhouse being a case in point. I am not properly qualifed to comment of course, only having seen snippets on YT, but Cinderella certainly comes to mind there Wink

I hope you gave POV a piece of your mind, fascicle, about the criminal lopping of Lucas.

MrsLucasNorth · 08/12/2010 12:33

I do hope Peter Jackson keeps to his word and makes the dwarves look as fanciable as possible - have just read that the Hobbit is going to be in 3D Grin!

PrairieOyster · 08/12/2010 13:07

But he looks so happy and smiley!!!

For dodgy hair (and dodgy beards even more so) look no further than The Impressionists, especially as Monet grows older - any of you gals seen that yet?

He has to be fanciable in The Hobbit, no doubt about it!! But I'll still love it if he isn't! Two years though...

Did you see the Tweet confirming that he will be in SOME episodes of SB2?

Also there were a few Tweets about CA wrap party so he is finished with that now.

Anyone else following @BabyGuyGisborne BTW?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/12/2010 13:16

Maybe not being fanciable will come as a welcome relief, Oyster. It must get very tiring.

Twitter is a total mystery to me, I need to find an online Twitter Tutor, methinks, as everyone else seems to cope just fine.

Even Kevin and Perry from Runcorn.

PrairieOyster · 08/12/2010 13:19

I think his hair in those Spooks set pics must have been a wig (or at least some of it was)

BodenBabe · 08/12/2010 13:42

Oooh, 3D RA!!! #yumminess I can't possibly fancy him with a beard though :(

Great news about SB2, Oyster! I haven't seen those tweets, I may not be following the right people. Oh and why is C19 so-called, btw?

Not following BabyGyuGisborne, btw - I don't know the parents...

Theresa, I'd be more than happy to help you twirt tweet.

Oh, Riverdance takes me back. I worked on the Eurovision Song Contest the year that Riverdance was on and they were Insanely popular with the listeners - our switchboards and post went insane and I seemed to be answer letters about Michael Bloody Flatley all day, every day. This was before the days of email, so was all very tiresome.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/12/2010 13:51

Goodness Boden whatever makes you think I want to twirt?? Grin

I have an account and all that but what puzzles me is how you find interesting things to ''follow''. And can you stop others from following you?I guess not, really or it defeats the purpose.

Sorry to remind you about Riverdance, you must view it with a jaundiced air after having to fend off all the fangirls.

Did you meet Terry Wogan?

BodenBabe · 08/12/2010 13:59

Just teasing, Theresa - though I will give you 20 mins before finding you can't help yourself :o As for finding people to follow, there are suggestions for you based on who you already follow (on a column on the right, I think?). I just followed the few RL people I know who Twitter and DH follows some amusing people so I copied him (Peter Serafinowicz, if that's how you spell it, is my fave). I'm not the best person to ask about followers though, as about 70% of my followers are fictional :) 'Guy' is on there but you have to request to follow him and I haven't done so. I'm tink-jane if you want to look at some people I follow. YOu can stop peopel from following you, yes. I've done it with a handful of people (you get the odd random person following you).

I worked on radio Eurovision, not TV, but I worked with Terry on radio for years, yes. It wasn't really fangirls for Riverdance, more fanOAPs :)

OPyster, you may be the best person to ask here but, purely hypothetically-speaking, if somebody wanted to download Clarissa for free, would you know where to find it? Not that I would ever do so, of course, I'm merely curious

OP posts:
BodenBabe · 08/12/2010 14:01

god, hideous typing there, sorry! also, should be tink_jane not tink-jane.

Off to paint the hallway as I have an enexpected child-free afternoon - rock'n'roll!

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/12/2010 14:08

Boden, for Clarissa, just go to the advanced search on the right-hand side of the page here, put in the term Clarissa and username cornishpasty and you will get the post that contains the links for downloading it.

BodenBabe · 08/12/2010 14:22

Oh fabulous, Theresa, thank you so much! I remember those links but for some reason I thought they were links to (paying) iTunes. Just got to work out how to do it - do I want 'open' or 'save file'? I've gone with 'save file', hope that's right. Just thought the painting would be far more enjoyable with a bit of rough culture :)

vintageteacups · 08/12/2010 14:24

Ooh- love that guy of gisborn vid flowers the music fits perfectly.

Just wondering, say if, you came face to face with the Man Himself whilst you were browsing bathroom tiles in B & Q.....what ONE sentence would you say to him (imagine he doesn't say anything but only looks at you).....

I'm going to have a think and get back to you with my sentence....there could be so many Grin

BodenBabe · 08/12/2010 14:31

Ooooh, good question, teacups! I think I would have to go with "oh! Um... er....erm...." :)

Great, thanks teacups, now I'm having fantasies of RA staring at me whilst I'm supposed to be painting :) I do actually have to go to B&Q at some point very soon - doubt I will be able to concentrate on choosing paint now :o

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/12/2010 14:35

Hello, ladies.

Theresa - If you wnat interesting or amusing people to follow then (depending on your sense of humour) try

ReelMolesworth
DrSamuelJohnson
Philo_Quotes
Microphilosophy
BillBailey
indiaknight
mermhart
stephenfry

I agree with you that the experience of Being Mr Armitage must get tiring if the principle response he gets to his well-judged dramatic performances in challenging and diverse roles is phwooar. All that raining as a Proper Actor merits a more considered and nuanced response. Such as we offer here. Ahem.

Boden - You're really going to have to overcome your ishoos with facial hair before The Hobbit is released!

And wasn't that allegedly dodgy hair his own, sans L'Oreal Midnight Raven or whatever? Anyway, I don't want to know. Poor chap. How many of us would survive close scrutiny by the MN Hair Police?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/12/2010 14:36

''O brave new world, that has such people in it'' ?

Or just ''Thanks for all the fun''

More realistically, I'd probably figure I ought to leave him in peace, wibble, then dash round to the next aisle and Blush-ing madly.
