Welcome to the new common room! Grab yourself some Twiglets and a glass of Chateau Gisborne or some Polish Cordial and come on in - the water's lovely!

Oh nooo! Don't tell me that with your arrival I'm no longer the youngest Prof at the Academy?

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 22:56

TooSexy - I thought my musical standards were low, but really! Still, I can see that conversing with Kevin and Perry's less talented cousins the without a doubt genuine article might leave your critical faculties somewhat out of kilter.

vintageteacups · 06/12/2010 22:58

I'm 33 MrsLN. wasn't exactly sure what year that song came out but I seem to remember being at a funfair that was playing it when I was 4.

Anyone know if the man himself is a good singer?

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 22:59

Oops. I misattributed the song. Obviously had too much Polish Cordial.

MrsLucasNorth · 06/12/2010 23:00

Bugger - you got me!

Not a bad singer I suspect, based on a little burst from the R4 play Clarissa and the fact he played Macavity in Cats in his early career.

"Snake hipped" as well I believe - are you still standing vintage???

ImtoosexyformyBliaut · 06/12/2010 23:00

Sshorry Flowersh, too much Shateau Gizzy hash affected me, as well as the presence of Mr Twiglet himself.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:02

Vintageteacups - If you search on one of the old threads for the links to download Clarissa, you will hear a brief moment of The Man singing. It caused quite a flutter around here, I can tell you. (As did all of Clarissa, actually).

ImtoosexyformyBliaut · 06/12/2010 23:02

Oh, I see we're all a bit tipsy. Flowers forgot who posted it, I forgot i didn't post it. Hic!

Oh, shomebody mentioned Clarissha

vintageteacups · 06/12/2010 23:04

I'm back onto camomile tea now - get to keep awake to browse more vids ;)

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:04

No need to apologise, TooSexy. It was MrsLN wot posted a link to Buck's Fizz.

Gosh. I'm exhausted. So many vids in so little time.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/12/2010 23:07

Who was that drunken slapper I saw sitting next to you a bit back, Flowers? The one in the Barbie pink bliaut?

MrsLucasNorth · 06/12/2010 23:07

Well, time for me to shuffle off I think.

DD keeps waking up at about 4.30am - she reads to herself - but does like to come into me and wake me up to ask if it's ok first Grin - bless.

See y'all tomorrow.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/12/2010 23:09

Oh, Mrs LN!
Goodnight and good luck!

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:15

Theresa - Do you mean the floozie who tried to entice dear Mr Thornton into sitting next to her? It was bad enough when some raddled old trout turned up, claiming he was her toyboy.

I need to look at something exquisitely, transcendently beautiful, to empty my mind of such painful recollections.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:15

Good night, MrsLN!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/12/2010 23:22

Precisely, Flowers. If you hadn't been careful, those two hussies might have inveigled him into taking off his coat

PrairieOyster · 06/12/2010 23:24

Think I'll retire too, ladies

Tomorrow etc

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/12/2010 23:26

Charming, Oyster. I hope that means you had fun Grin See you tomorrow.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:34

Don't worry, Theresa. If either of those harridans had so much as looked at his cravat, I would have stabbed them with the hatpin which I keep in my reticule.

I didn't show this earlier as it contains some interlopers but nevertheless I find it . It has even made me rethink my less than enthusiastic views of Coldplay (as has the Lucas vid which uses the same song).

BodenBabe · 06/12/2010 23:34

Just finished The Golden Hour. You are right about an anti-climax, MrsLN, I thought his present to her was going to be something else instead of that bracelet (which looks like it as a piece of rusty old metal!) This is what I mean about his beautiful skin.

Got to go now, the smallest Boden is yelling for me. Happy Chrishmash, you're my besht mates ....

OP posts:
asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:35

'Spose that's the sign of a good party.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/12/2010 23:40

Goodnight, Boden, from me and the luminous doctor.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/12/2010 23:42

I enjoyed that a lot, Flowers. In fact it made me want to go on Amazon and splurge seriously on every period drama they've got.

Now about that hatpin. Don't you think that's a bit, well violent ? Though understandable when it comes to the defence of cravats

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/12/2010 23:44

Goodnight, Boden and sweet dreams of beautiful skin.
