In one way I take my hat off to you. Single mum of 7 kids doing a law degree.

And on the other hand I think how could you get pregnant so many times especially as it’s not like in the olden days where there was limited contraception and limited access to contraception.

This is true of most of today’s pensioners as well.

It’s true.

You won’t get a job. Why would they hire you, with seven children who will need you to leave work at a drop of a hat? They can get a 21 year old with tons of legal experience already who will be available to work full time.

Well it’s either paid back when she gets a job or it’s not. Law jobs are relentless though (I used to work in law), I don’t think OP realises just how much pressure there’ll be with case loads, billing and how that works with childcare.

@CeciliaMarsbut many people with dc do get help with housing & childcare costs.

I paid in a lot for my pension over 43 years, believe me.

If it is true I get the impression that the OP never has intended to be self supporting. But calculated that children equal money.

The issue is the OP keeps having them. At everyone else’s expense. And can I think see what the problem is, but doesn’t care one jot.

Some women just like having babies, I think sometimes it's a kind of validation.

It appears to be far more popular in countries without benefits.

And strangely there seems to be less 'accidents' in those countries.
