@WorldCupSadness hiya OP, you’re brave doing this! Or have a weird kink for Mumsnetters being cross at you!
I’m interested in your own childhood, was there anything to suggest you would have had so many children of your own?
Do you have a favourite stage?
There was a family of 6 girls in my school with a single mother in the 90s and I thought she was so glamorous. She had long red hair and tattoos and a pierced nose and wore floaty dresses. She dressed like sienna miller before sienna miller. All her DDs had different dads and were all mixed ethnicities but all really talented. I had a very fucked up childhood and decided early on I’d rather be single with my children like this mum than stuck with a shitty husband. Luckily after I had my first I met a very wonderful man who I have stayed with and we’ve become a family of 6 now. But if it wasn’t for him, I’d have definitely gone the single mum route. Maybe not 7!
I think with 7 DC managing to work is wonderful in itself, doing so with trauma of leaving DV is truly commendable!
Im sure you’ll receive some negativity because of your choices but I think that leaving bad relationships and teaching your children what’s not to be tolerated in relationships is really amazing.
I hope you and your lovely children have a wonderful life of closeness and warmth.
