Just that really.

OP posts:
SixLeggedSugarBug · 13/05/2026 07:58

I lied to, I had to send a photo so stuffed a pillow down my tshirt.

I bought my last pen just before the price increase and took tiny doses to maintain. As soon as I finished it (I kept using it for months) I put weight back on.

Soon as I got back over 8st 7 I have gone back on.

Empress13 · 13/05/2026 08:07

How much does it cost you? Do you think that people lying to get it are the reason the cost of it rising?

PatNoodle · 13/05/2026 08:07

I recognise your username from other threads. Two days ago on a WLI thread you said you don't take them and you've lost weight due to medication side effects

I lied about my weight to get Mounjaro

Universe25 · 13/05/2026 07:52

Well done @KateCooksonThat’s incredible you must be so proud, and thank you for being honest to confirm you didn’t take the jabs as you couldn’t afford them.

It would also be worth going back to ChatGPT and asking the of the benefits of taking weight lost jabs for a more balanced post.

I didn't do the weight loss jabs because I felt they were too risky for ME. Had I not felt like that I would have somehow raised the money to pay for them. I posted the risks (agree cut and pasted because it was easy!) because it seems some people just don't consider these and can't be bothered to look online. Of course benefits of the jabs massively outweigh the risks if you are severely obese with other health issues and just can't manage to lose the weight without help. I had very high blood pressure and high cholesterol before I lost weight and my knees and hips were not great (I still have 2 stone to lose btw). I have friends who aren't overweight but have used weight loss jabs just to lose a few pounds before a holiday and have only had minor side effects. I don't see them as "cheats" - that's up to them. Just trying to say that it's a personal decision and that you should consider the risks before making it and decide if it's worthwhile for you..

SorryWeAreClosed · 13/05/2026 08:28

I don't understand the judgement about weight loss injections, whether there's a very sticky stone to lose or a lot of weight.

Op, are you concerned you've taken a risk of later effects when you haven't had the same risk/benefit considerations as larger people?
If they are risk free then it's surely not an issue how you lose weight?

wishingonastar101 · 13/05/2026 08:29

I did exactly the same. I am 5.1" and got up to 9stone 4. Still a healthy BMI. I lied and took wegovy for 6 months (maybe a bit longer... ,maybe 9 months) Got down to 7stone 12. Was thrilled! Ended up in hospital with blockage in my bowel and now have long term bathroom issues... will be on medication for life.

Also put the weight back on within 6 months. Brilliant.

Pricelessadvice · 13/05/2026 08:35

OP- on the 11th May you were on a thread saying you lost weight due to medication side effects, not WLI, and you want to lose a bit more before your holiday.
So which is it?

PatNoodle · 13/05/2026 08:07

So a liar through and through. Nothing to be proud of, OP needs to have a good look at herself. A thread advocating lying to get WLI is really bad news.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 13/05/2026 08:40

Did you really try to lose the weight by adjusting your diet or did you try for a couple of days and give up?

PortSalutPlease · 13/05/2026 08:49

If you paid for them then 🤷‍♀️ Your look out, I suppose. There’s an increased risk of pancreatitis, and a risk that you will forever fuck your metabolism for the sake of a stone and a half, but you do you. It would be vvvvv u to try and claim them on the nhs but if you buy them then it’s up to you.

Kitt1 · 13/05/2026 08:52

So you have an eating disorder? You need mental health support not MJ.

SeeFourSwans · 13/05/2026 08:59

The way I see it, WLI are a prescription drug just like any other and they are regulated for a reason. You wouldn't lie to your GP to get antibiotics, so why do people think its acceptable to lie to get this medication? It's your own health you're risking at the end of the day.

Clarissaclaire · 13/05/2026 09:01

Kitt1 · 13/05/2026 08:52

Suspect OP suffers from body dysmorphia. The boob job is a give away.

Forgotthebins · 13/05/2026 09:02

I’m really fascinated by the “I want it so that makes it ok” crowd on the side of the argument . And the implication that everyone who thinks they shouldn’t is a fat ugly cow who’s just jealous.

So as a fat ugly jealous cow, who is genuinely interested in understanding the other side, can I ask:

  1. What percentage of your motives are physical health and what percentages are appearance?
  2. does it affect your mental health not to be at your target weight even if you are currently a physically healthy weight?
  3. do you worry about side effects at all or is it more that you see them as a risk worth taking to reach your ideal weight?
RausageSoul · 13/05/2026 09:10

This whole thread needs to be removed. This is pro ED/how to get a controlled drug when you don’t need it step by step guide!

Girlintheframe · 13/05/2026 09:16

I dont see anything wrong with what you’ve done op. You don’t need to have a BMI of 29 plus to be overweight. I also don’t think you have a ED. Wanting to get rid of weight gain, get back into your clothes and feel your best is exactly why lots of people loose weight. Was it ethical, no. Is it at your own risk, yes but then so are lots of things in life.

CollectingAllTheACEs · 13/05/2026 09:50

@Careygetoutyourkey some of my friends and family know but I haven't advertised the fact. It's also coincided with starting another medication (nothing to do with my weight or WLI) that has nausea as an initial side effect so I've blamed that otherwise. I don't really eat around other people anyway.

@SweetValleyHighPriestess it was definitely menopause for me. I've definitely lost weight all over, no idea about my internal organs though. I started on 2.5mg as I tried the lowest (1.25mg) previously and saw no impact. It's pre-filled and you can only use it 4 times. I can't advise otherwise I'm afraid - mine was prescribed so they do have my medical history, the only thing inaccurate was my weight

@nam3c4ang3 I've not noticed much change to my face no, I've always had quite a round baby face though

@Beachforever 2.5mg; I got a GLP1 support powder from Willpowder which has protein and electrolytes in, and reduces nausea, etc. I made my own protein shakes otherwise

@Loveactuallynot I'm on 2.5mg and it was £210

@tamade I've upped my activity levels and plan to be more careful with my diet than I was previously - I'd probably be ok with gaining a couple of pounds back but not all of it. I didn't plan to lose this much so quickly, I didn't anticipate how much it would reduce my appetite

@Nearly50omg 8 stone is a perfectly healthy weight for someone who is barely 5'2" - I have neither an eating disorder or body dysmorphia - as confirmed by a psychiatrist who I saw before I had plastic surgery

@OvernightBloats I did feel really nauseous for a couple of days after the first couple - although I'm on a different new medication which also has nausea as a side effect. Also I can no longer drink wine!

Presumably she is paying for them. Isn't a better question why should she have to lie?

No the better question is why should she be given a drug when she doesn't fall within the prescribing parameters? They're there for a reason.

What are you doing to ensure you have adequate muscle mass. Are you lifting weights?

Clarissaclaire · 13/05/2026 10:08

Sooo at the time of your boob job you were passed by a psychiatrist. Great stuff.
Scroll forward, you’ve had the boob job presumably because you were unhappy with how your breasts looked, and now you are unhappy with your weight?
OP there is a theme playing out here.

CollectingAllTheACEs · 13/05/2026 10:10

@Peony1985 I don't have an eating disorder, I just wanted to get back into my clothes and WLI are cheaper than a new wardrobe

@OnceUponATimed I've barely been able to eat anything at all on the WLI so it's less than I was eating under my own volition - I do know that's not healthy which is why I am stopping them. I didn't expect the impact to be so significant so quickly

@Waitingforthesunnydays they've never asked me for photos at any point

@SixLeggedSugarBug the pens only let you deliver four doses normally, although I suppose you could use a separate syringe to extract it and do smaller doses

@Empress13 2.5mg

@Clarissaclaire @Kitt1 I had to see a psychiatrist before I had the boob job who was happy I don't have an ED or body dysmorphia. The reason I had the boob job was that I lost too much weight after an abusive relationship due to the stress - the weight went back on but I was still left with no boobs.

@Forgotthebins yes it's been detrimental to my MH to be bigger than I wanted to be, especially coupled with all the other impacts that come with menopause (I was 39 when it started due to a hysterectomy after severe endometriosis). I admit that it's because I want to look better rather than physical health reasons. I only ever planned to do it short-term and side effects have been a little unpleasant but nothing insurmountable.

@RausageSoul I've not given anyone explicit instructions, in fact I've actually told people I won't advise their situations. Also how many threads on here are full of competitive under-eaters?

@MeridaBrave Yes I've started a new gym and they've developed a programme for me including weights/strength training - I was already conscious of the need for that due to menopause

@Clarissaclaire I suspect most people would be unhappy after going from a DD to an A and also putting on over a stone and being unable to fasten their jeans...

OP posts:
Clarissaclaire · 13/05/2026 10:15

OP were you to see a professional now I wonder what their pronouncement would be? I could hazard a guess. Which is one of the reasons you had to lie to get the WLI

This doesn’t stack up as 1.25 is not an official dose - you would not have been started on that by any pharmacy.

if you lied and got a standard prescription it would have been 2.5 and you say you started at 1.25 and it didn’t work so now taking 2.5.

I think the majority of this thread is fictitious and aimed at gaining attention…. Really not good for anyone genuinely wanting more info.

CollectingAllTheACEs · 13/05/2026 10:31

@putthehamsterbackinitscage the original dose was maybe 3 years ago and wasn't Mounjaro as it was before that came out - I think it was Wegovy - just checked and yes it possibly wasn't 1.25mg but it was the lowest dose available at the time
