I've noticed that there seem to be a certain perception of police on here... particularly as a partner/spouse. I'm married to a police officer and there is definitwly a certain lifestyle that goes with this so AMA!

My partner has been accused of multiple accounts of domestic abuse from his ex. There is no evidence they happened (because the abuse didn’t happen). When she found out I existed, she sent him a text message saying ‘You will never see your children again if you don’t give us another go and leave that whore’. She has no idea who I am. Then she made up lots of historic domestic abuse cases including rape, assault and emotional abuse. She has not let him see his children in two years. He is on bail, awaiting possible charges. The police kept re-bailing him every three months. Do the police get paid for as many domestic abuse cases as possible? My partner is convinced that’s why himself and four other people I know are under investigation for domestic abuse. All have ex’s who are not happy their partners have moved on.
