Off the back of another thread I realised am ridiculously organised and my house is always tidy, always ready for visitors etc didn’t realise how tidy I was until I started commenting on and reading the other thread. So just a fun, or nosy AMA.
maybe there’s nothing to ask 🤣 thought it might be interesting though…

I do them very much like a supermarket does to be honest. I face everything out. I can upload pics if you like @bedsaidted

This is my thinking.
I have two children plus me and DH .
I am like you - my house is lovely and tidy and clean, and I have to do at least two loads of washing every day.
Literally every day. It’s beyond a joke but we all wear clean clothes / pjs every day, and I change bedding once a week at least.
Also DS thinks it’s acceptable to grab a clean towel every time he has a shower ..

I wear the same jarmies like 5 days. And bedding gets washed between every 2/3 weeks.

Same.

I just couldn’t fathom washing bedding every week along with all of those pjs to be honest. Seems tedious

@bedsaidted here they are, I don’t keep masses in the cupboards tbh. I couldn’t be bothered with that, I keep things minimal.

Really? It’s just basic cleanliness to wash bedding once a week. I don’t wash pyjamas every use though.

Not needed if you shower daily though imo…

Exactly 😬

But … we do wear clean jammies daily too . And my bedding has been washed three times this week so far.

BusWankers · 30/11/2025 19:00

God you must just be constantly putting the washing machine on, emptying and drying , folding, putting away...

Eek what on earth do you do in your bed to make it that dirty that you constantly need to change sheets?

No wonder the planet is burning up. Also don't people have jobs? Who has time to have the washing machine churning constantly?

WhereIsMyJumper · 30/11/2025 19:52

Clean towels for every shower is madness and complete overkill. As are clean PJs every day. Just no need.

My bedding does get changed once a week but 1. I have a cleaner who does it for me and 2. My dog sleeps with me

We’ve all had Hand Foot and Mouth disease this week. Fevers and all sorts to go with it. The works . And it’s been hideous.
Sheets get wet and sweaty and I don’t know about you, but me and my family can’t sleep in sweaty bedding that we’ve been poorly in.
I am by all accounts, very fastidious with cleanliness: my home is immaculate, but yeah, it’s not usually a three times a week bedding change 🙄

Yikes that sounds horrendous!! And not like an average week. I've done 3 loads of laundry this week because we had a wee accident last night (6yo, not me) and to me that's quite a lot in a week

But you didn’t state that at all at first you made it sound like it was the norm for you. Of course I would wash my bedding sooner in the case of illnesses, if I have a sweaty night etc I will change jammies and pillow case etc if needed. I have stated that before.

Why the eye roll? The way it was written was rather implying that it was completely normal for you to wash at least 3 x week

Thank you. It’s been horrendous - really appreciate your kindness ❤️
