@LifeOfAShowGirl ,
I too feel my life is changed because of Mounjaro. I’m post menopause though so it’s taken me nearly 10 months to lose just over 4 stone and I’m 4Lb from my goal. I don’t think I will be able to maintain my weight loss without the medication because I always ate very healthily and exercised but I’m certain I had underlying insulin resistance which the drug is designed to address. The news yesterday is a blow, the price increase looks like it will be immense. 😔
Anyway I did actually have a question for you which was what was the highest dose you took and at what dose are you maintaining but as as you’re still on your journey I’ll have to wait for the answer. Good luck!

I’m on 12.5 currently, moving up to 15 after my holiday. So I feel like yesterday was just an absolute gut punch!

@LifeOfAShowGirl I'm so glad. It's going to be out of reach for so many more people now and I honestly think these drugs are going to save millions of people from dying early and suffering from years of preventable diseases. I am nearly at goal weight and am on 7.5 so I'm hoping my provider will let me order every other month so I can continue on it. Gutted as I was looking forward to a bit more money spare. Would you consider something like that once you're at goal weight?

I’m currently going to stretch my final 12.5 dose over nine days purely because of my holiday - I inject on a Friday and then I’m not going to be home until nine days later. So I’ll see how that goes for me. If I do well with the 15 and I can stretch that, I’ll potentially stretch doses when I get down to goal. But I’m still actively losing at the moment so it’s quite scary to think that the prices could just be hiked again in a few months time!

Well that’s odd as iirc I’ve only ever posted on one other weight drug thread where I defended OP from posters attacking her for her goal weight.

I don’t know what your triggers are or why you so determined to distort genuine concern into a personal slight, but my perspective is actually this: I’ve had to take certain drugs for 30 years and it’s a much bigger deal than people here seem to realise. All drugs have side effects particularly if you’re on them long term.

The idea that I have to post links to evidence the side effects of weight loss drugs which are throughly documented both scientifically and in responsible media is absurd, and simply a tactic to shut down discussion. Equally, the difference in fat storage between men and women is common knowledge and easily verified by Google.

What I’ve learned from this thread is that some if not many have no intention of stopping their weight loss drugs, don’t see it as a positive, and actively take offence if you suggest it. So I certainly won’t bother again.
