The time has come, I’m having the surgery this week. I’m still questioning myself but am going to go ahead with it. Say a prayer for me x

Hopefully will chat to you all soon x x

Best of luck! You won't regret it. Rest up well. X

All done. It was a huge job. I will post all about it once I recover a bit. Thanks for this thread x

Madagascary · 25/09/2025 21:37

You'll be so pleased. They'll be rock hard and high for a bit

Recover well, take care of yourself and don’t do anything you’re not supposed to do!

3luckystars · 27/09/2025 09:45

It is a lot tougher than I realised. I am glad I had it done but I’m feeling it.

Thanks again x

Blimmingboobs · 27/09/2025 12:53

It will keep getting a bit better each day, just chill and look after yourself, stay hydrated and nourished

Morello339 · 27/09/2025 21:12

I'm 8 weeks post op now. Had a small opening on the vertical incision but nothing major. However, I'm still finding i am tender, and the scars are sore sometimes. I'm really struggling to wear a wired bra for longer that an hour. Anyone had similar? Or should I be past this by now?

Blimmingboobs · 28/09/2025 08:43

Pretty sure you shouldn’t be wearing a wired bra yet / ever. Though my surgeon did tell me to as well (to keep them perky which I do not care about). I tried wearing them but just couldn’t get a comfortable fit and still can’t almost a year post op.

Bigtitsbettyforgotherpassword · 28/09/2025 10:59

I’m three years in and still don't wear wired bras. I just tend to wear bralets.

Singletrackmind · 28/09/2025 16:31

I ritually burned all my wired bras ... never, ever, ever again ... bralettes for the win.

Blimmingboobs · 28/09/2025 18:56

Ooh I forgot I burnt my old big bras too and I effing loved it! One of the best things I’ve ever done other than the reduction. So cathartic.

Madagascary · 29/09/2025 04:43

Yes. No to wired bras!!

OP posts:
Madagascary · 29/09/2025 04:44

I sold mine. Made a bit of cash.

OP posts:
Morello339 · 29/09/2025 06:40

Where did you sell them? I have so many, some still have tags on because bras never fit me properly but I'd hang on in case the shape changed the next month.

Summerdew · 29/09/2025 07:15

You can send used ones to smalls for all charity but new ones sell well on vinted. I am wearing underwires bras again, but didn’t for a good 12-18 months after. Definitely couldn’t have put one on after 8 weeks.

Singletrackmind · 29/09/2025 18:20

Yes I did also donate any good ones to relevant charities to be fair. Putting on stretchy, teeny bras remains one of my greatest pleasures … I’m just over 2 years post op now & I don’t think I will ever lose the sheer joy that having small boobs gives me daily. Healing vibes to those of you on the journey now & every encouragement to anyone on the fence 😀

Summerdew · 29/09/2025 21:50

Agree @Singletrackmind every single day I think at least once how much I love my new boobs and how thankful I am that I did this. Best money I’ve ever spent.

Same.

I have no bra on today at work! 😮💕 Just a little vest top under a blouse. This blows my mind!

AMD79 · 01/10/2025 22:57

Really helpful reading the experiences of so many. My partner had her reduction today! 3kg of breast tissue removed! I haven’t seen anyone mention NPWT (negative pressure wound therapy), apparently really helpful for draining and looking after the wounds and nipples. She has these fitted for a week. They’re pads that are attached to little units but they really buzz! Wondered if anyone had experience of them, and any way to make them quieter?!

Blimmingboobs · 02/10/2025 07:16

Nope not heard of those at all so no advice but sending healing vibes

3luckystars · 02/10/2025 07:58

I had a reduction / uplift done 10 days ago. I’m black and blue my entire breasts are yellow and purple. It was a huge ordeal.
I’m so unwell and pale as a ghost and went out on Tuesday to walk to the top of the street and my neighbour called me saying I look frightening and was I ok? I thought I was doing great 😂

Did you all have huge massive amounts of bruising too?

Blimmingboobs · 02/10/2025 11:41

I do bruise easily but mine was horrendous too. The nurse at check up said what’s happened to you and couldn’t understand it was all from the op.

I have heard that this can be related to B12 deficiency so I topped up on that and iron and gradually improved a bit.

3luckystars · 02/10/2025 15:26

Thanks so much for that. I’m back to the hospital tomorrow to get my bandages changed so hopefully they will tell me the bruising is all normal and all my stitches are all ok too.
