This thread is making me face prejudices I hold, because I would (do?) judge people who have three children so close together in age but all have different fathers. Because I cannot wrap my head around trusting a man so quickly to be in a situation where this is even possible. My DH and I were together 6years before I fell pregnant with DC1. I still learned new things about him during my pregnancy and the new born stage. I cannot imagine our relationship being ready after 1-2 years (it wasn't).

To the pp who was incensed that their children were being judged, I don't speak for anyone but myself, but it would never occur to me to judge the children.

But yeah, I'd judge the parent.

All that said, OP I do find you inspiring. You're very focussed on doing the best you can for your kids, and part of that is looking after your career. I admire that. Even if my prejudice wants to advise you to maintain your financial independence for the future.
