Fascinating thread OP!

Floradoranora · 13/07/2018 11:47

I’ve never seen anyone using their celebrity to do anything positive

You’ve probably not looked properly for fearing of seeing something positive.

I often wonder if ANY of them give a shit about wildlife or the planet?

I’m wondering if you know how silly you sound.

JelliedFeels · 13/07/2018 11:48

Do you have any concerns about the DM attempting to figure out your identity or publishing details from your thread?

scramblesontoast · 13/07/2018 12:04

Hi @iamawagama just wanted to say I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your answers to everything. You and your family seem like super lovely people!

iamawagama · 13/07/2018 12:06

Do you have any concerns about the DM attempting to figure out your identity or publishing details from your thread?

Yes, I'm hoping I've been vague enough and figuring out who I am would take too much work for the DM journalists Grin

This is why I won't answer questions on what position he plays, colour of shirt, etc.

Thank you Scrambles !

Have you met teddy sheringham 😍 ?

forgivenminds · 13/07/2018 12:38

Does the club put restrictions on the type of activities your DH can do in his spare time, like could he not go skiing, a long bike ride, jet ski or paraglide, incase of injury ?

iamawagama · 13/07/2018 12:51

Have you met teddy sheringham 😍 ?

Nope! Grin

Yes. No skiing, motorbikes, paragliding etc. Jet skis are ok I assume (as we often get jet skis on holiday)

Are you very attractive?.. I can imagine you are, but quite self depreciating...

diamondsandrose · 13/07/2018 13:10

You sound like I'd like you as a friend , even if you weren't a WAG if you know what I mean!

Tell me more about fun stuff...what's your favourite online shops? Or do you prefer real life shopping? What make up do you wear? Perfumes etc?
If money was no object these would be my favourite luxury things to splash out on! Forget cars and houses etc Grin

GrumbleBumble · 13/07/2018 13:29

@hiphopfrog I support a football team and through following them am aware of all sorts of goods works that players have done. There has been a charitable foundation set up by one of the players to help disabled children (hardly the thing a "typical" lad in his early 20's does) and regular works in schools, communities and hospitals. I know a number of supporters that have had great experiences with players going out of their way to accommodate fans especially youngsters.

TheLastNigel · 13/07/2018 13:46

Whoever asked about teddy Sherringham-as as an aside-my dd1 met him at a girls football tournament the other weekend at Butlins. He presented her with her best FairPlay award. She said he was lovely!

RandomlyChosenName · 13/07/2018 13:51

I have an idea for your future career. Could you set up a financial/personal guidance firm to help and advise all the young footballers. I feel very sad for them after reading this thread- pushed into marriage young, lots of money but a lack of financial advice, perpetual fear of going down hill or getting injured.

Or maybe a career helping "WAGs", because despite the money, your life doesnt sound great tbh. All that moving around and not being able to work and the thought of the cheating. Maybe WAGs need some kind of advice/support agency?

Imagingerbreadman · 13/07/2018 14:12

the last Nigel

I’m so glad you said he was nice and not ruined my illusion of him. My favourite player ever.

tedx · 13/07/2018 14:16

do you think money has bought you happiness to some extent?

Just asking as you weren't born into wealth and for lots of people it would seem it is the answer to alot of problems.

TheLastNigel · 13/07/2018 14:32

Imagingerbreadman-he spent ages talking to the girls and was able to remember the specific things from the matches they did to get the awards-really impressive considering how many kids there were there.
It was at Butlins Bognor so not like a big glamour Saturday for him either 👍

areyoubeingserviced · 13/07/2018 15:22

Op- I haven’t got a question
I just wanted to say that your dh is a very lucky man

iamawagama · 13/07/2018 15:57

Thank you @areyoubeingserviced ! I'm inclined to agree with you haha Grin

Yes I guess so to some extent. It's nice to not have to worry about cash flow and living out of your overdraft every month. It's also REALLY nice to be able to help family and friends experience things they wouldn't have been able to do themselves. It's such a bloody cliche but it's true.

But regardless there will always be something to worry about - relationships, health, etc. Things money can't buy.

OP posts:
iamawagama · 13/07/2018 16:04

Are you very attractive?

Ahhhhh I'm lucky in the respect that I have that face shape that suits all hats and shades haha. I'm not drop dead gorgeous, head turning but I'm happy enough with my face, there's nothing offensive about it Grin

iamawagama · 13/07/2018 16:12

Tell me more about fun stuff...what's your favourite online shops?

Net a porter!!!! I love love love it.

Or do you prefer real life shopping?

For everyday wear I prefer real life high street shopping like Zara etc. Every time I've ordered something off ASOS, boo hoo, misguided etc I've always been disappointed.
And I always real life shop for handbags, it's an event! Smile

What make up do you wear? Perfumes etc?

Day to day I wear a bourjouis (sp?) cc cream, Dior mascara, Mac eyebrows and usually Charlotte tilbury lips.
On a night out I've got all the gear but no idea and attempt strobing/highlighting etc but usually just end up with foundation, guerlain bronzer, mac blusher.
I'm forever buying foundations in the quest to find the perfect one... I think I've got about 8 on the go at the mo but my fave is Armani or Huda for when heavy duty is needed

Perfumes are another obsession of mine.... currently wearing Roja sweetie Aoud (🙈 it's an extravagance so I use it sparingly). Also a fan of Kilian and Bond New York yum yum

@iamawagama I've thought of something else, it's about living and working abroad in another culture, as the whole transfer business fascinates me, especially as to how it works with family life.

You mentioned having language lessons, did DH and the kids have them as well, does the new club help? and team mates? or do people tend to communicate in a common language, especially for training and during a match?

Have you kept up the other language since coming back? and is it something you and DH have in mind seeing as you spoke about a potential money move abroad in the future?

Thank you.
