Money move abroad sounds good. I hope it’s somewhere sunny OP!

What is your engagement ring like? will you show us a picture

Blush no pic because it's a one off so quite recognisable. It's very sparkly and my favourite thing in the world though Grin

Yep someone washes them, checks them for any rips and they wear them again. If a player gives a shirt away after a match they have it deducted from their wages

The Kit Man was much the nicest person on the training ground side at DH's old club, and I'd completely forgotten how taken aback I was to discover they deduct given away shirts from player salaries! And the deliberately odd things done to to the 'away' team's dressing room.

MikeUniformMike · 11/07/2018 21:39

Ooh like what?

WhenEnoughIsEnough · 11/07/2018 21:39

Thankyou for answering. I am imagining that it porbbaly cost alot but is very tasteful not like some of the bawdy things you see people wearing.

torthecatlady · 11/07/2018 21:41

Your wedding dress sounds beautiful! I've suddenly thought of loads of questions, I'm being greedy now BlushGrin

  1. What car/s do you and your dh drive? Are they sporty or practical for the 3 kids?

2a. Do you think you would write a book in the future (anonymously or not)? I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in it!

2b. Have you ever been approached to write a book or tell-all?

Nquartz · 11/07/2018 21:41

What kind of things do you normally post about on here? Do you have CF neighbours who park over your drive Wink

Spartacunt · 11/07/2018 21:43

How's your OH feeling right now?

  1. We have one sporty and one 4x4. The sporty one has four seats and is my fave so I use that mainly. When we all go out together DH drives in the 4x4

2a. I don't think my grammar/writing is good enough although I definitely have the content! Grin

2b. Never been approached, any publishers reading this - - - my inbox is open Grin

Under my usual account I have had a CF parking thread but it never really took off Grin

I usually just respond to threads rather than start my own

Have you met stevie g - my heroGrin
If so, is he and Alex nice?

susej · 11/07/2018 21:47

Have you got savings for the future?

iamawagama · 11/07/2018 21:47

How's your OH feeling right now?

He's moaning and mumbling to himself something about how he knew Croatia would win but France will win the final because France's most difficult match was the Belgium one you see. He's just repeating "I knew it! I knew it!"

Think I'll go make him a nice calming cuppa tea Grin

Tee hee. You'll probably be offered a newspaper column. Bet those lazy horrid tabloid journos are reading.

iamawagama · 11/07/2018 21:49

Yes DH has been quite sensible. The lifestyle will still change but we should be ok. The kids will have all had a good education at least so they can pick up the tab for once Grin

I have a question; one of my closest friends is married to a football player, and she goes to his matches almost 100% of the time. When her kids were small I'd go to keep her company and help her wrangle then.

Do you always try to go? Do you never get bored? I would like to ask her but you can't really say to a friend 'I find it weird that you watch your husband do his job all the time'.

OrangePeels · 11/07/2018 22:20

Is this the best part of the England match? Grin

I'm a footballer's wife.. ask me anything???
Maranello4 · 11/07/2018 22:20

Loving this thread! You mentioned that you have moved around quite a bit. How do you as a WAG make friends? Do these friendships tend to be with other WAGS or are there other channels/ help available? Especially when you were both abroad for example?

(Am asking as being I've found it hard to make real friends when we moved out of London and had children - and know that the older you get, the less friends people tend to have but focus on quality relationships perhaps?)

I go to all the home games and any away games that are less than 2 hrs away. We usually have visitors who all want to come to watch so I take them. It's also a good chance to catch up with the other wags and the kids always enjoy it. Well the littlest gets ants in her pants but the iPad comes in handy there.

That's a difficult part of it. When abroad I made friends with some school mums and I made friends when I took language lessons.
Here in England most of my friends are the WAGs. It's not always that you go to a club and the WAGs get on but they really do at this club! Lovely women on the whole who were welcoming from the minute I stepped into the players lounge. A lot of them have kids too so we do things altogether during the day time
