Good grief
I lived on a farm till i was 18, every bike we left in the yard got stolen, gates got removed from fields, cattle got out. Ill dogs were dumped on us (tied to gate posts). Milk was stolen out of the tank, diesel from tractors, their rubbish inc dirty nappies left in ditches etc, i could go on but you get the gist

Zampa · 10/07/2018 16:25

Why are travellers like this?

What on Earth possessed you to type this @Myotherusernameisbest?

Would you say all black people are drug dealers or all men rapists?

Not all travellers are the same.

TakeABreak2 · 10/07/2018 16:26

Zampa Don't be ridiculous. Every single one I've encountered without fail was behaving appallingly. There were upwards of 200 on that site and I've since had the misfortune to encounter other groups bahaving in exactly the same way. So yes I'm generalising because out of all the travellers I have encountered 100% behaved like this.

I have also met lots of men. 0% were rapists (as far as I know) and I've met lots of black people and 0% of those were drug dealers (as far as i know) so what a stupid comparison.

People make judgements based on their own experience.

Fluffypinkpyjamas

Since when is keeping a dog outside such a terrible cruel thing? I love dogs but some people are OTT

Notquiteagandt · 10/07/2018 16:47

Do you think enough is being done about male suicide. I know this is a huge problem within the travelling community?

TakeABreak2 · 10/07/2018 16:50

fluffypinkpyjamas just went over your question
if i posted tell me everything about non travellers alot would have differant ways/veiws on things... i am AMA about me / my ways / my veiws im not answering for the full population of travellers?Hmm

how is keeping a dog in a DOG box so cruel? what are they made for? i wouldnt allow it in my home because eprsonally i think they smell of piss so wouldnt want kt stinking my place out.. it would be fed right and my daughter would be doing the playing with it not me its her dog and shed be walking it around the site but its all beside the point because im not getting oneSmile

That's true Coyoacan. My mum's side of the family are all Scottish country folk - and that's born and bred, not just moved there because they wanted to live somewhere pretty. The older generation never have dogs in houses - just wouldn't happen - and think that people who do are filthy. They are absolutely horrified at dogs on sofas and beds. Same as most people in most other countries. It's a peculiarly English and peculiarly rural incomer thing to do, this anthropomorphism.

No! suicide in our community has shot up in the past few months! its horrible for anyone to experiece it my heart breaks for everyone who feels so low to not be able to talk to someone that is there only way! but with male travellers alot wont show emotion they wont cry or show there hurt they try to be a man - my husband included! he suffered depression over it but my veiw as a christian is that the devil will do anything to steal us! is we kill our self traveller or non traveller obviously we are dying in sin

OP posts:
HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 10/07/2018 16:54

And actually I share their view! Dogs are dirty. Why would you want one in your house?!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 10/07/2018 16:54

I think that's because you quoted Waitrose's deleted comment Bizzle rather than anything you said.

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 10/07/2018 16:59

I’m the sort of person who likes maybe routines, like to know where I stand, what’s happening next week etc. From what I’ve seen on TV the traveler way if life seems quite disorganised (sorry if that offends you’ve OP, I dont mean if to) and a bit chaotic. It seems like, grin the women and kids anyway, they get little choice in wherever they go or when they go and little notice if they’re moving. Do you find it difficult to manage things like bills and schools and stuff like that when you don’t know where you’re going to be?

TakeABreak2 · 10/07/2018 17:03

awomanisanadulthumanfemale
well if my husband just told me were going tommorow id love it - but it just doesnt happen like that
things are planned schools are given notice its a joint desision if i didnt want to pull somewhere we wouldnt be vice versa also hed make sure give me notice so i could wash my trailer down and clean it out
its like that if your travelling full time (which doesnt happen anymore) but only because of the police moving them on like i mentioned theres transit sites now where we are allowed for 2 weeks which most pull onto so they have a planned route for the summer

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 10/07/2018 17:06

That’s good to know that you have a fair say. I have to say part of me would love to have my life contained to one spotless caravan but I don’t think I would cope well full time! Grin

pallisers · 10/07/2018 17:09

How many of your friends or relatives went on to university?

TakeABreak2 · 10/07/2018 17:12
