This is a lovely thread OP. Well other than idiots of course. Many thanks for all your answers.
I lovely near lots of travellers. There is also a school that is mostly made of of traveller children.
The locals often slag off the travellers on local fb pages. I hate it. I love seeing people put on their pony’s and traps.

Do you worry about your children and their future? Would you rather they didn't become Travellers when they are adults. (Only asking because I had a very unhappy and poor childhood and don't want that for my children)

i do worry about there future dd being who she meets who she marries ect ds being will he be able to provide for his family when he has one
i try not to though and try to focus on them now and enjoy them being my babies!

I work near Appleby every year after the horse show the surrounding areas and miles of the routes home where people have parked why do they leave so much rubbish every where why don't the clear up after themselves . why do they think it's acceptable just to leave shit every where when the leave where they have camped . And whats your views on the travellers who broke into Thwaites brewery in blackburn and caused 100's of thousands of pounds worth of damaged.

rwalker have you ever seen the state of a musical festival site at the end of three days?

It’s not just travellers that leave a mess. People from all walks of life seem to be basically filthy when they get together these days. There’s a very pretty village near where I keep my horse and the locals like to hang out near the river in the summmer. The state of the place by the end of each day is shocking. Rubbish strewn everywhere, abandoned disposable barbecues, dirty nappies etc. None of these people are travellers.

There was also footage of South End beach doing the rounds last month showing the shocking state it is been left in by the end of the day during the hot weather. People in general have a lack of respect these days...
