Nuna Trvl lx stroller: how easy is it to fold?
Folding the Trvl lx is one of its most impressive features — designed with convenience in mind, it folds and unfolds effortlessly using just one hand. This makes it ideal for busy parents juggling a baby, a bag, and everything in between. Hayley adds, “The stroller is extremely easy to fold and unfold using one hand and very lightweight for carrying around with a baby also in hand.”
While she did note that “there’s no lock when folded, which can make it a little tricky to carry up and down stairs due to some movement,” she felt this was a minor downside. For everyday tasks like popping it into the boot, she found the fold “perfect.”
An added bonus? The stroller comes with a handy travel bag, which Hayley found “perfect for keeping the stroller safe when travelling abroad and putting in the aircraft hold.”
To fold the Trvl lx:
Make sure the seat is upright and the canopy is pushed back.
Press the folding button located on the handlebar while gently pushing the handle forward.
The stroller will automatically fold down into a compact, free-standing position.
To unfold the Trvl lx:
Release the frame by gently pulling the handle upwards.
The frame will pop open and click into place, ready for use.
Nuna Trvl lx stroller: Does it come with accessories?
Yes, the Trvl lx stroller comes with a few accessories that make day-to-day use a little easier. Hayley particularly appreciated the included rain cover, saying it was “super easy to put on, completely covered my son and gives very easy access.” She also noted that it extends over the back of the stroller, which not only keeps children dry but also “keeps bags dry that are hung over the handlebar” – a huge plus for the UK weather!
In terms of travel compatibility, the Trvl lx is travel system ready. It allows you to attach a Nuna PIPA™ series infant car seat directly to the armbar with one click – no adaptors needed. If you prefer using the Nuna ARRA™ Next car seat or Nuna LYTL™ carrycot, these can be attached using the Nuna Trvl series adaptor (sold separately).
Is the Nuna Trvl lx stroller easy to clean?
Yes, Hayley found it very easy to clean during testing. The seat fabric is both durable and wipeable, allowing for quick clean-ups of spills and messes, while the removable seat insert can be taken out and cleaned more thoroughly when needed.
Parents will also appreciate that the materials used are high-quality and don’t stain easily. The leatherette handlebar wipes down well too, which is especially helpful after busy days out or trips to the park.
Is the Nuna Trvl lx stroller is good value for money?
Yes, the Trvl lx offers great value for money, especially if you're looking for a lightweight stroller with long-term versatility. While it's more expensive than some compact options like the Ickle Bubba Aries Autofold, it’s priced in line with premium models such as the Stokke YOYO 3 and delivers similar high-end features.
The Trvl lx is travel system–ready, can be used from birth thanks to its lie-flat recline, and includes adjustable calf support to accommodate growing toddlers. It also has a taller seat height, giving it added longevity as your child grows. While it’s not as sturdy on uneven terrain like the Nuna TRIV Next – which has larger wheels and advanced suspension, it handles a variety of surfaces comfortably — making it a solid all-rounder for city streets, parks, and holidays.
Hayley and her husband found it so reliable and easy to steer that they're now using it as their everyday stroller. Hayley also appreciated how lightweight and foldable it is for travel abroad with her family, which adds to its overall value.
