Well i LOVE the jumper, lovely autumnal colours. KEEP! I've never worn make up so feel no need to start now. Yes, my husband is aging beautifully but I'm confident in his love. Don't feel you have to change. Embrace the meaning in your life which doesn't depend on superficial matters, such as appearance. I wonder what you husband would say if he knew you'd posted this?

If you are not used to make up, start with mascara and a lipstick.

Get some Halara wide leggged jeans. They are stretchy super comfy and look very stylish. Team with a range of slightly fitted tops and jumpers you can layer in nice soft wools, but brighter up to date colours. Ever thought about having your colours done. It’s fabulous… shows the colours that really suit you and those to avoid, then you can easily buy what looks good on you. Perhaps experiment with some collars or scarfs to give a bit of easy chicness

You've got a good figure! Go to a decent ladies outfitters and ask them to suggest things for you. Go for a make up lesson. Good luck.

If you’re really serious then I would recommend a style session at John Lewis.
I went for the most expensive full makeover but everything I bought was knocked off the price.
it was worth every penny.
absolutely every aspect was considered - lifestyle, how you see yourself, colours, etc and various things were brought for me to try on.
it was amazing and worth every penny.

@OhYeahOhYeah

how do you get tret?

I use Klira through my botox doctor but you can get cheaper versions - and buy direct from some pharmacies.

As a woman, minger or not, you DO NOT work at home.

busymomtoone · Yesterday 23:59

There’s some lovely apps now such as dressly which suggest capsule wardrobes to suit your shape/ colouring ; but please please don’t ever call yourself a minger! Confidence is attractive - it’s lovely that you find your husband even better looking and more sexy than he was - but you need to view yourself the same way. Caring for elderly relatives is hard and very draining - I’m sure you’d look and feel better for a treat day just for yourself - a decent hairdresser; spa or massage if budget allows ; free make up advice at concessions in department stores or Boots if one near you ; maybe take a friend shopping and treat yourself. I feel some responses have been quite harsh - please be kind to yourself - your marriage has survived and you sound a lovely person - you just need to get your mojo back !! Xx

I'd advise you to go to the doctor - your face is very swollen and looks jaundiced. Grin

You have a great figure. What's your hair like?

Hahaha mumsnet please bring back the laughing emoji

The best thing I ever did was get my colours done. I used a local House of Colour rep who was brilliant. It transformed the way I look at colour and helped me to define my style.

She also showed me some make up that worked well for me, especially the blusher. I hate lipstick cos it lasts five seconds on me but use the Benefit Benetint and it makes a big difference.

SuperConfusedNow · Today 07:01

Maybe try a styling session at John Lewis? Worked well for me to have some guidance and a place to start. No pressure to buy lots and once you know what works for you I found it easier to go buy things independently. Good luck

Where did you get that picture of me?

if you are a soft summer then the colours you are wearing in your photo are for an autumn im pretty sure, so re check your swabs and pick your colours.
id invest in either straight wide leg but not too wide & bootleg high waisted pvc jeans. A bit of stretch and wipe clean. Even just for the weekend. And a nice blazer with decent button detailing & wear at weekend.
its easy to get into a rut i very much did wfh.
I know its not quite the most uptodate look but for caring Id still wear high end leggings and fitted long sleeve sports too.
look for maxi dresses in summer that fitted at top then loose from under bust.
the first thing you need is a decent bra fit to make your clothes hang well. A sort of elevated tracksuit/lounge suit for work like this maybe

Thinking about your stomach totally appreciate your age & 5 kids but If this can be reduced slightly clothes would sit better. Im apple shape too & its hard to dress as most clothes are designed for pear shapes.
some of your stomach could be bloat whats your caffeine salt & sugar intake like? Truthfully. Swop to water and herbal teas & drink more.
protein every meal ie boiled egg & porridge.
chicken/fish & veg swop a potato for extra spoon veg homemade lentil & carrot soup. Try for 6 weeks take measurements in 3 areas round stomach & see if any progress.
stomach crunches & the plank try do every other day. You cant spot reduce areas but you could see big improvements that give you a mental lift.

Ditch the Birkenstock clogs. You can get other comfy shoes that are more stylish and less frumpy. Take a look at camper right nina.

You need to go to a stylist. Even go to those ones at John Lewis and get them to sort you a new wardrobe!

Letskeepcalm · Today 08:21

Ive just bought a sweatshirt and joggers from Pour moi ( m&s website) in burgundy. Lovely and comfy for in the house but also looks good out and about. I got size smaller than I usually buy.

Letskeepcalm · Today 08:30

So don't and comfy
