I can just imagine the mega tantrum if Harry did do royal duties and Meghan didn't. Take the kids to school in a normal low profile car and nobody would be any the wiser. They managed to get in the country without the media knowing so they can get to school the same way.

There's a royalty board especially for people who are likely to spend a whole year wondering about them.

Harry and Megan can pay for their own security. Why should tax payers pay for their security when the general public and our children are in more danger than them , look how many children have been murdered in terror attacks but there's no money being put into more police on the streets.

The children should most definitely get all the protection that the royal family members are afforded. They are kids, they have had no choices here and they did not ask to be born into this family, they did not ask to be moved around, and they did not ask to be 'private civilians' or 'public figures' or anything else.

Their security issues exist because the royal family exist – end of. And they would require security regardless of what their parents chose to do or not do.

Because you can't pay for armed security in the UK.

They're at no more risk than the kids of other super-wealthy people here, like oligarchs. They don't get armed security from the state, because they are private citizens.

If it were just H&M I honestly wouldn't give a shit. But there are 2 children involved. Who need protection. We've only got to look at the men in black shirts marching, nut-case Farage and 10-names and his vile ilk to see the violence in our social structure now. It wouldn't take much for some nutter to try to bump off H&M or one of the kids. In the same way Anne suffered an attempted kidnap, the Queen had the nutter bedroom intruder and Charles was shot at.

Regardless of their official status, thanks to the media obsession with them, there will be lots of nut-jobs who might think they're doing the world a favour AND gain some notoriety. They need protecting.

I think their behaviour is such that they have made themselves and their children targets. They probably do need security as a direct result of their behaviour.

They should pay for private security like other celebrities.

Also yes Celebs and their children again manage perfectly fine with private security they don’t need all this song and dance.

Even rich footballers who homes have been raided while their wives and children are inside Harry has the security the government deem he requires. He wants willys security detail.

I think I'd like 24/7 security please, through my work I've sent a lot of very dangerous people to prison with a number threatening my life, my family and my children. I drive myself and my child about in a Citroen, without so much as a police horse companion (also open to a police cat)

What about protection for our children? Money should go to protect all children. Our children are more likely to be murdered by terrorists than h&m children. Statistics prove that. Why should we pay for them.

They do have security.

A team they pay for and government funded when it’s deemed there is a genuine threat.

Just most people who feel they need security don’t keep putting themselves and their location out constantly and whining to the papers. They don’t deliberately visit countries with major crime issues or disclose things like their kill score. They tend to try and help themselves by keeping to themselves.
