We've been a few times and there has always been a balcony off the adult room as well. The food and entertainment are great for little ones and there is a nice splashpark to keep them entertained.

Our verdict

In a prime position on Crete’s north coast, TUI BLUE Sensatori Atlantica Caldera Palace is a gorgeous Greek retreat with direct access to Lyttos Beach.

With chunky loungers lining the pool, sleek rooms (some with swim-up pools) and a modern spa, it has the look and feel of a grown-up luxury resort but it’s incredibly welcoming to families and there are loads of fun amenities for children of all ages.

The kids' clubs are staffed by qualified childcare experts and offer activities to suit everyone from babies to 12-year-olds, and in the evening, there’s dancing and games to join in with, or tribute acts and professional shows to watch.

Foodie families will love the variety of restaurants on offer (there are eight!) with traditional Greek, Japanese, Thai and Tex Mex dishes to try. And there's a cafe to keep snack fans happy throughout the day.

Take a dip in one of five pools. Kids will love the splash pool with water jets, slides and tipping buckets. It’s well worth checking out the adults-only pool (with in-water loungers) when the kids are happily distracted at the kids’ club. Or book a slot at the spa for an indulgent treatment (it also offers treatments for kids including mini massages and teen facials).

We stayed in a swim-up with our 3-year-old dd and 4-month-old DS last July. It was at the Sensatori Biomar in Majorca, and it was a GODSEND. When little one needed a nap we could just nip out to the room and I could sit in the room with him whilst my husband played in the pool with my daughter.

We’re off to the Tui Sensatori Biomar in Sa Coma again this year. We went last year with the two kids (5. & 9) and we had such a lovely time we’re happy to do it all again! Great hotel, with adults-only areas, a lovely swim-up bar in the main pool, kids clubs, delicious food and drink. But shhhh…..don’t tell everyone!!!

On the northeast coast of Mallorca, TUI BLUE Sensatori Biomar sits in a secluded spot overlooking the sea. Despite its quiet setting, it’s a 15-minute stroll to Sa Coma’s car-free promenade and beach making it easy to explore the area on foot.

The resort is geared up for luxurious lounging. In addition to six on-site pools, you’ll find a Hydrothermal circuit at the spa which features waterfalls, massage jets and micro bubble beds. There’s also a Turkish bath, and treatments available for adults as well as kids aged 4-16.

Children can join one of the age-appropriate kids’ clubs for a fun lineup of activities (six days a week) or head to the tennis or volleyball courts to work up an appetite before dinner. There are also 45-minute family activity sessions on offer for parents with kids under 3 including pool play and baby wellbeing classes.

On the food front, there’s a choice of seven restaurants spanning everything from Italian to Indian cuisine and there’s a good range of vegan and vegetarian options. Dance shows, cabaret acts and live music dominate the evening entertainment schedule.

Our verdict

Built around the ruins of an ancient Greek village, this charming resort offers direct access to a pretty pebble beach on the southeast coast of Rhodes.

As well as four outdoor pools, an indoor pool and an activity pool, there’s a dedicated splash park for kids, complete with waterslides and a tipping bucket. And if your kids can’t get enough of the water, you can book a swim-up room or push the boat out and opt for a beachfront suite with a private pool.

Loungers and Balinese daybeds dot the beach or you can kick back at the spa which is home to a sauna and a steam room. For something a little more active, there are football pitches, tennis courts and an archery range to try out. And children up to the age of 15 can join one of the excellent kids’ clubs - there’s an on-site amphitheatre for fun and games.

With seven bars and six restaurants, families get lots of variety at mealtimes. In addition to the main restaurant with its child-friendly buffet station (set lower to the ground), guests can dine at three specialist restaurants each week. Options include Italian cuisine at Caprice, traditional Greek food at Kuzina and tasty American classics at Liberty.

Overall I thought it was really good. There are separate family and adult-only areas, and the kids' pool is well set up for toddlers. There are no big slides, just a shallow splash pool with a little slide in the middle, meaning families with older kids might prefer to go elsewhere.

I am currently at Akra Sorgun TUI BLUE Sensatori Turkey With my 1.5 yrs active little one. This is hands down the best hotel I’ve been to not only for adults but for kids under 3. It is not cheap but it’s really great. They even do stay and play sessions so you can go to baby club with the little one and leave them or you can stay if you aren’t comfortable leaving etc. All uk DBS trained nursery staff - they do baby classes and baby splash play. Cant sing the praises high enough for this hotel. You can only book it through TUI

Our verdict

This super stylish beachfront spot received a revamp in 2024 so it’s looking its best for the summer season. Set between a forest and a golden sand beach, it offers easy access to the resort town of Side on Turkey’s southern Mediterranean coast.

There’s an impressive array of food options here and you’ll get 24-hour all-inclusive dining access. There’s even an overnight dinner service for indulgent late night snacking. Kids will love the freshly made waffles and pancakes at breakfast and guests can visit three speciality restaurants during their stay, including the Ocean Restaurant set right by the beach.

Children can expect a lively lineup of activities at the kids’ clubs and there are regular cinema screenings for a laidback alternative. Sporty families can make use of the beach volleyball courts, football pitches and archery range.

For a luxurious treat while the kids are being entertained by the resort’s childcare experts, consider reserving a beach cabana and making use of the waiter service while you kick back with a good book in the sun.
