Be easier for people to get into your room I guess, but what are your thoughts so you like them ? Do you think they the worth the extra money
Also know any ice ones on majorca

Love them. Great when DC where babies as they napped while we swam. Rooms tend to be bigger too.

Not sure they are any less safe than a ground floor room. The doors to your room lock, and they’d have to make a quick swim to get away!

Kinda have visions of being In the room relaxing, seeing others swimming past nosing in

Where did you stay ?

First one we experienced was in Rhodes but that was 10 years ago. Lovely family rooms and the pool was great. I don’t recall anyone swimming past - the pool wasn’t busy as it was only accessible to the others on the row and everyone else was likely at the main family pool.

@GrumpyCatHasFleas we stayed in a swim up with our 3year old dd and 4 month old DS last July. It was at the sensatori biomar in Majorca and it was a GODSEND. When little one needed a nap we could just nip out to the room and I could sit in the room with him whilst my husband played in the pool with dd. The balcony had a safety gate so kids couldn't get in or out without help and it didn't feel any more unsafe than a ground floor room. The balcony doors locked like normal.

It certainly made our holiday- as did the fact the tv had CBeebies so my dd could run in from the pool, soak the bed watching alphablocks eating an ice lolly to cool down and then head back out again!

@GrumpyCatHasFleas also the pools at the biomar were only for about 3 rooms on your block so it was empty most of the time- no one swimming past your room really!

We had one last year. It was great because there was no fight for sun beds, you could nip in and out of your room as and when but ours went in the shade from 1pm. If we wanted to sunbathe we had to go to the main pool or the beach, It was the biggest waste of money, ever, imo.

This is nice to read. We are going to that same hotel in June. Never been before so hoping it’s nice! Admittedly our dc is 12 so won’t be up for CBeebies but good to hear you enjoyed the room etc.

@Picklechicken you will have a great time, I loved the hotel! We've just returned back from a holiday to Turkey for almost double the price and I wished I'd just rebooked the biomar. Entertainment is fab!

Fabulous! Thank you.

I’d say more safe than a ground floor normal room as they’d have to swim through the pool to break in!

Phonicshaskilledmeoff · 09/05/2025 23:56

I just wouldn’t because I’d be scared of my 4 year old somehow jumping in when I wasn’t looking. Security wouldn’t even occur to me- surely it’s added protection as a moat?!

owlyboo · 09/05/2025 23:58

The baby gate things on the doors @Picklechickenare usually so complicated I struggle to get out if that helps !!

That looks really nice, just googled it, quite far from palma tho, which I'm sure you wasn't too fussed by, especially with young kids, but I like to be say within 30 min taxi ride away
