Trans activists have really shot themselves in the foot. Here everything we say is public so they can read it. Now, many of us have joined a totally private forum where you can't even see the names of the members unless you log in. It is also giving women a much freer reign to say what they want and we can swear.

Enjoy your forum, but I, like I suspect a lot of others, have learnt a lot from reading the posts here and now you will all be preaching to the converted.

Private forums are good for plotting planning activism or discussing strategies, and should exist anyway.

But, the beauty of a public forum is to expose the flaws in the TG assertions. And wake up more women as to what is happening.

The problem becomes when the venue hosting that public forum picks a side to back, then it becomes lop-sided.

If you were not sure which side MN have backed - look at the GC posters (outraged at the language policing), and look at the trans posters (paraphrasing: well done MN, now can we also ban X, Y, Z?)

This has been happening for years! Private groups and fora have sprung out of mumsnet and all over the place. It hasn't replaced mumsnet feminist chat and it won't.
It's great to see more women connecting off mumsnet though. The network of women talking about this stuff and properly connecting is becoming absolutely massive.
