I was just heading to bed when I had a thought that has given me the giggles gin induced

Trans activists have really shot themselves in the foot. Here everything we say is public so they can read it. Now, many of us have joined a totally private forum where you can't even see the names of the members unless you log in. It is also giving women a much freer reign to say what they want and we can swear.

So fuck you TRA, you knew what we were saying here, now you won't have a fucking clue, all you can do is guess.

Women 1-0 TRA

I will stay on MN but would also like to join privately. If anyone could PM me that’d be great - thanks!

Newspeak · 15/06/2018 08:41

I would be interested in the new forum also if I could have a pm that would be great.

I also plan to keep reading and posted here (prob till I get banned for some minor ridiculous language infringement)

Lurker as couldn’t be arsed to find my password but this has enraged me enough to be arsed.
Please keep posting here. It is so important and I have been so informed by the posts on this board
Have peaked so many people just by reading here and sharing with family and friends
Yet to meet one person who believes a man can become a woman

flowery · 15/06/2018 08:45

No idea why anyone would see GC discussion being driven off MN to a private forum not publicly viewable to be a victory of any kind. So many people have learned so much and become so much more aware of the issues by these discussions popping up in Active Convos, myself included.

persister · 15/06/2018 08:48

Just thinking that I may well not get a PM re the new forum because I've only posted a few times on MN - I can prove my bona fides by giving my Twitter handle if that helps? I'm determinedly GC but just not very vocal about it so far - though I intend to change that. So please PM me!

BiologyNotBigotry · 15/06/2018 08:50

I'd like to join too please!

hairypaws · 15/06/2018 08:50

I'm a loooong lurker too and also fear many will be missed. I like others have had my eyes well and truly opened through this forum and think it would be such a shame if it was to be affected by a private group (I'd still like an invite though Blush)

Abouttoblow · 15/06/2018 08:50

I'd like to join too please.

I hope everyone keeps posting here too though.

Melamin · 15/06/2018 08:54

There’s definitely a shift in the media coverage and an opening up of debate which is exactly why these boards are being so relentlessly targetted. There are a few exceptionally prolific posters which make me suspect that account log-ins have been shared so the boards can be hassled 24/7 tagteam-style.

^ This. The targeting is a measure of success Grin

Add me, but I'm not coming off Mumsnet.

ChickenMe · 15/06/2018 08:55

Apologies for the bold, but: Ultimately, I'm afraid it wasn't your arguments that changed my mind: it was their behaviour. It was the spiteful viciousness. The policing of language

Same here!
I lurked for ages; then, a BF page I followed on Insta reminded its followers to include Transwomen in conversation about breastfeeding. I queried this, was met with abusive language and the usual bigot accusations and that's what made me de lurk.

PM me - would like to join but agree it's important to post here too.

boatyardblues · 15/06/2018 08:55

There’s a really simple observation to be made here: Lurkers, we need you to step up and join the conversation to keep these discussions lively and current!

PlectrumElectrum · 15/06/2018 08:55

I'm still here, posting, but elsewhere I can talk freely, openly, connect, network, plan, co-ordinate, share ideas & information. All the things that are necessary to further the cause of defending our hard fought for SEX based rights & protections enshrined in the EA2010.

Joining other forums to talk openly & truthfully does not mean people can't or won't continue to post here.

MsBeee · 15/06/2018 08:56

I have seen the light. I am un-lurked.
Do it sisters. It was sooooo amazing to meet some of these women. Gush gush,

The tide is turning and yes really they TRAs are unraveling themselves. They are bullies and frankly just behaving like in worst sort way. Talking over women, demanding access to our spaces, taking our wins in sports. Threats of violence. Etc

Also though I hate to say it.

JuicySwan · 15/06/2018 08:57

2rebecca · 15/06/2018 09:00

hambo · 15/06/2018 09:02

Hello, please include me in the new forum, I am in a few Facebook groups which I can pm you!

Pratchet · 15/06/2018 09:03

Good luck all, I would never be able to keep up with another one, but if any plans are afoot, pls pm me?

lonalsland · 15/06/2018 09:04

Me too please - I am a long time lurker who is very saddened by this change in the openness and ethos of Mumsnet- reading over the years has educated me and allowed me to spread the word in my circle about gender self recognition. I do feel that whenever possible comment should be here to continue educating the public about these things but conversations and debate needs to not be stifled

Terfnserf · 15/06/2018 09:07

Can I join please, please pm me. I was at inconvenient women meeting on wednesday and there is a post from me on that thread. I have my ticket still also.

Nightmanagerfan · 15/06/2018 09:12
