This may sound trivial, but I don't think it is. Music can make a big difference to our mood.
There's so many victim songs in our culture "What can I do to make you love me?" Kind of thing. But what about the strong, I can do this songs?

I'll start: "I'm still standing" Elton John - bernie taupin knew what he was writing about.

About this time last year there was a thread on here about this exact topic. Someone recommended Move in the Right Direction by The Gossip. Thank you to that person! It did an amazing amount for me. Though now I find it almost too painful to listen to as it reminds of a time when I was so, so low.

scatteroflight - I think that was my thread, music is so important to me and I needed to rethink what I was able to listen to. I had hundreds of suggestions and was grateful for every one of them.

Boop suggested The Gossip and it became my anthem. I too can't listen to it anymore though.

My current favourite is Sigma and Paloma Faith, Everything is Changing

Oh and Oliver Dollar, Pushing On - great video too. Pushing On, because it's the only option Smile

Mmm! Sharon's choices are really interesting, to say the least. I haven't heard much Zappa for years... really empowering choices!
