Thanks labmum.
I'm 37 and we have been trying for a baby since I was 34 (jeepers).
My history is;
1st mc at 8 weeks April 2016 (stopped developing at 6).
2nd mc at 8 weeks in December 2016 (stopped at 6 again).
Investigations at RMC found nothing. I have a heart shaped uterus which at this stage they thought was bicornuate (bit of a risk factor for early mc).
3rd pregnancy dd - who was lost to a stillbirth at 27 weeks in September 2017 due to something placental. I had self - prescribed 75mg aspirin for early part of her pregnancy and then was put on it anyway after 12 weeks.
We then waited for ages in order to grieve but also to allow for more tests. Placental investigations have shown immature growth for the stage we were at with dd.
So now I am on 4th pregnancy, due in March and currently almost 24 wks pregnant. I have been on 150mg aspirin since BFP, 5 mg folic since before pregnancy, 200 mg progesterone until last week and 5000iu of fragmin since 6 wks. Placenta Doppler scan last week shows a 'normal' placenta apparently. So at the moment we are crossing our fingers and just taking every day as it comes.

Thanks for the new thread @labmum and thanks for the advice ladies. Think I'll keep going til 12 weeks then start to wean down from there. I have scan and consultant appointment 3rd Dec so might even wait til then.
History - TTC for 9 months after being on pill for a very long time. 1st BFP June 2017. Few private scans where things didn't look right as sac was irregular shape but clinic didn't think to tell me. MMC at 13 weeks, baby stopped growing at 5+6. Cycle really messed up after this. Early mc before 6 weeks Jan this year then pregnancy unknown location/ectopic feb this year. Seen in rmc, tests all ok. Decided on a break from ttc and a holiday and got bfp in October. On aspirin and cyclogest and 11 weeks tomorrow! Good scans at 7 and 10 weeks. Had never had a good scan in previous pregnancies!

Hi all, thanks for new thread Labmum.

My story:

DD1: born at 41 weeks, via emcs in 2014. Difficult delivery with a cervical and uterine tear and a pph followed by sepsis and a short itu stay with long post natal stay.
Started TTC spring 2017.
May 2017: early MC, 6 ish weeks
Sept 2017: early MC, just under 6 weeks.
Discovered to have a short damaged cervix around this time, advised to have stitch in future pregnancies.
Feb 2018: MMC 11 weeks, stopped developing at 7. Failed medical management, infection, eventual erpc. Seen by cervical specialist to discuss future plans- she felt I had significant uterine adhesions as well as cervical issues and suggested I have hysteroscopy and cerclage prior to trying again.

April 2018: somehow conceived using (admittedly old) condoms while awaiting procedure. Started aspirin and high dose folic acid. Aspirin stopped at 9 weeks due to large and continuously bleeding subchorionic haematoma. Transabdominal cerclage at 11 weeks (big open abdominal surgery). Cervical scans every 2 weeks until 25 weeks.

Stayed pregnant against all the odds and am now 35+5. 20 week scan showed dodgy dopplers so having monthly growth scans and dopplers. Diagnosed with mild pre-eclampsia last so am now very puffy with mildly high blood pressure and a little too much protein in urine but not needing treatment right now. Feeling uncomfortable and a bit fed up but c-section planned for 38 weeks so there’s an end date in sight! Back in to hospital Friday for review and scan.

Anne I suspect you are feeling movements on left because placenta is on the right. I’m feeling most of my movements at the top of my bump now as it’s mostly baby trying to move it’s rather sizeable backside around. Feet seem to be tucked in under!

Miami 24 weeks is a real milestone. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for you at this stage of pregnancy. So glad placental scans are looking good. And hoping you and Anne aren’t too sore from all the heparin injections.

Ooh new thread!

My story:
Started TTC March ‘16, pregnant May 16. Booked an early scan at 8 weeks but only sac seen, started bleeding 10 days later and eventually miscarriage confirmed early July. Took over a month for a negative test and they were borderline sending me in for a further ERPC when I had more bleeding and scan confirmed all 100% gone. Negative test came end of August I think. They also identified a cervical ectropion whilst I was in and advised it was likely to recur in future pregnancies.
Got engaged after that and took a break from TTC as I was struggling with the long process of the MC.
We conceived again in the January of 2017 but started bleeding about a week later so put that down as a chemical.
Held off TTC until April 17 and fell pregnant immediately with DD who was born in February at 42 weeks after a super speedy induction. Had a couple of small bleeds with DD but they were put down to previously identified ectropion.
Started TTC #2 pretty much straight away. Cycles returned at 3 months PP but didn’t get bfp until 9 months.
Currently 4+5 with #2 and crossing everything that it’s as easy as DD was. Very lucky to have conceived whilst breastfeeding with ridiculous cycles.

Still don’t feel pregnant, which is doing my head in. But I have to remember I didn’t feel it with DD at this point either- I didn’t even test til I was 5-6 weeks! So I clearly didn’t feel crap immediately. My tests have darkened nicely so I guess I just sit and wait. I am hoping to avoid early scans and blood tests this time and am hoping that the busy time of year will make it go very quickly.

Miami I can’t believe you’re almost 24 weeks! I’m glad your Doppler scans are all appearing normal. Fingers crossed for them to stay exactly that for the rest of your pregnancy!!

paranormal anne and hopeful it’s good to read your stories. These things often get lost when you slide in and out of threads so really interesting to see everyone’s histories. Wish we didn’t all have these stories to tell, but at least no one is alone in this!!!

Anne movement with DD was very strange for me. I had an anterior placenta and eventually she got too long for me. So often I would find I was feeling feet in my ribs which was just constant pain but I was only feeling rolls and wriggles down one side as she stuck her arms out around my placenta. Everything else I would feel if I really really concentrated but often I had to lie down to identify it at all. Then helpfully she ended up back to back so all I felt towards the end was back pain, feet in ribs and stabby cervix pains. I also remember that her pattern didn’t seem to be time of day really, it was more one busy day moving then one day resting with smaller movements. But I remember worrying for ages that I don’t know what her “pattern” was until I actually started tracking it and it was just that I wasn’t looking at it over a long enough timescale.

Just adding for anybody new joining the thread in future.
With my three miscarriages I just took standard pregnancy vits.
With DS I took high dose vitamin B6 until BFP. Then normal pregnancy vits.
This pregnancy I tried the high dose vitamin B6 again until BFP, then 75mg aspirin, 5mg folic acid and cyclogest twice per day.

Thanks for the new thread labmum

I’m 32, TTC since December 2016.
MMC at 12 weeks April 2017 - complicated and was thought to have given me intrauterine adhesions/Ashermans syndrome but when I came to have surgery for them December 2017 they’d resolved.
MMC at 10 weeks May 2018.

Now 24 weeks (yay) and on cyclogest since last week due to slightly short cervix following LLETZ.

Anne I feel movements pretty frequently but I really wouldn’t say there is a pattern to them yet, timing seems very random. Some days they seem much fainter than others as well, I’ve been wondering if that’s when she has flipped around to face the back...

Blimey, the old thead filled up quickly! Thank you for the new one @Labmum.

You've all been through so much and I'm so happy you're getting closer to holding your rainbow babies in your arms. Flowers

I'm 33, PCOS (very irregular cycles), TTC since Sep 2016. Fell pregnant naturally in Nov 2016. Spontaneous MC at 10+3 after a good scan at 9+5 in Jan 2017. MC at home. Not able to get pregnant after that, under the fertility clinic at UCLH. 2 unsuccessful cycles of Clomid, 1 of Menopur. 1 cycle break to have hycosy. BFP after the 2nd cycle of Menopur. 14w tomorrow, I've been on Cyclogest after ovulation and weaning off now (4 pessaries left).
Had a good scan at 13w last Friday, but the sonographer couldn't see the blood flow in one half of the heart so she referred me to specialist. Apparently UCLH is among very few, if any, hospitals that check the heart so early. Scan with specialist doctor yesterday showed all's good so far, phew. Also found out it's a boy Smile Trying to relax a bit and hopefully be more active here after so much anxiety.

Congratulations for the good scans @iswallowtoothpaste, @whiteonesugar and @bean, wonderful news! Hope you're feeling better @iswallowtoothpaste, I've been struggling with backache.

Haven't managed to read everyone's posts on the last thread yet, sorry. But thinking of you all.

@Hopefulforourrainbow I'd take Cyclogest until 12w, that's what I did. I was on 2x400mg a day and put them in the front because apparently they're absorbed better. Always lied down for at least 30 min after putting them in, did 6am and 6pm as they need to be 12 hours apart. I've been starting to wean off at 12w - did one week of 1 instead of 2 every 48 hours, then a few days of 1 a day, then doing 1 every 48h for the last ones.

Thank you everyone for such helpful thoughts and experiences on movements. I'll keep noting it down and hope a pattern or sorts emerges in the next few weeks. I'll check out that website miami, thank you.

Has anyone had their whooping cough jab recently? Had it done Monday night, the bastard thing is still itching, sore, hot and fat. Had the flu in the same spot but never had any issues with it in the past.

@Anne had mine done a few weeks ago but had no problems. Hopefully just your immune system working away and it'll calm down soon.

Had my first growth scan today. All fine, seems we have a big bellied, short legged lady brewing, measuring on the 95th centile. Eek! Doubt it's very accurate though, might just have to lay off the cake and chocolate over Christmas! It was lovely to see her, DHs face when they did her tummy measurements though Grin! Been a generally crap day other than that so feeling a bit sorry for myself, plus they struggled to get my blood so now for a lovely bruise developing on the back of my hand!

Thanks @lookingforhope. I put them up front for first few weeks until I had a bleed. I have an erosion on my cervix so they think the pessaries were irritating it. Was told to put them up the back from then. I'll be glad to finish them!

Anne I had mine about this time last year and my arms were both super sore. They did one in each arm for me which was just ideal since you can’t aleep on your back and you’re then left with neither arm being comfortable to sleep on. I think it took about a week to really settle down and definitely feel better. I had a HUGE lump.

I had a big local reaction to mine too Anne. Probably because I had whooping cough as a child so generated a lot of antibodies!

Labmum congrats on the big girl! I have a growth scan tomorrow too. And congrats on the boy looking4hope! I still haven’t opened my harmony gender conclusion but I have a good idea after my million scans I think!!

Spoke to my boss today and I’m taking annual leave next week. Might come in to say goodbye to my students and sort out some paperwork but think I’ll seriously struggle working any longer.

Hi - thought I’d drop in and say hello! I’m browsing active threads during a sleepless night and recognise names! Labmum kindly linked me to the older thread, but I wasn’t brave enough to join - I felt it was too soon.

My history:
2015: DD born. Conceived 1st try, no issues.
Jan 18; mmc discovered at 12wk scan. Stopped developing at 7. Medical management.
March/April: Early mc at 5 weeks
June: mmc at discovered at 8 week scan, I was suffering preg symptoms, no bleeding etc but I’d not developed past 6 wks. MVA to resolve.
August: Early 5 wk mc

I’m currently 9 weeks with 2 good scans so far. Quite unplanned - I wanted to give myself a break, I’m also having counselling.

I saw the RMC consultant for my 1st appointment last week - discharged me from clinic straight away as everything is looking normal. I’m not taking any additional supplements apart from usual preg vitamin. Consultant reckons that I’ve got a super receptive womb lining that’ll accept any old rubbish, which will account for my higher than normal mc rate. After being on pill for decades I wouldn’t know!

It’s lovely to read that so many names have progressed so far! Congratulations! Wow - paranormal you are about to pop!

Miami glad that placental growth is looking good. It sounds like you are being looked after well.

I’m still nervous and desperate to get to 12 weeks. I’m tired, eating absolute rubbish - which I’m sure isn’t helping!

Anyway - a big hello and congratulations! Hopefully I’ll be joining you in the 2nd trimester soon!
