Miami81 I was actually on the verge of giving up and going home after 8 hours of waiting, but my DH convinced me to stay one more hour to wait for the doctor. She was the one who pushed for a scan, so it was definitely worth it.
Losing your shit is perfectly fine - better to express your feelings than keep it all bottled up. Just take it one day at a time and spend lots of time cuddling with DH (and wriggly little one).
AnneLovesGilbert Your DH and DSC feeling movements sounds amazing. And yay for boring/average!
Please don't get so stressed with work, in the grand scheme of things it isn't that important. I had some very stressful months, especially while doing fertility treatment, but I decided to put a stop to that. I learned to push back when possible and stop being an overachiever. Your wellbeing is most important right now.
Kayleigh121 Congratulations for your pregnancy and a very warm welcome! You're in great company, these ladies have kept me sane during the last few weeks. Everyone tells me that once you're past 12 weeks the risk is very low, so hold on to that thought. I'm 15+1 and still very tired, not sure where that pregnancy glow and energy are hiding...
Iswallowtoothpaste I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday, bet you can't wait to see your little one again. I don't think the anxiety ever goes away, but you definitely learn to enjoy it more. Hope your backache is gone.
Hopefulforourrainbow Congratulations for getting past 12w! I think Cyclogest contributes to that hungover feeling. I started weaning off at around 12w and I felt a bit better after. Best of luck at your scan and appointment on Monday.
moonpeace Congratulations for your pregnancy and welcome! Please don't worry about spotting, especially when you can barely see it! I've been bleeding for almost a week (sometimes it was just pouring out of me and I also had clots) and everything is fine, see my previous posts. Spotting and even bleeding is not always a sign of something wrong, every body is different and there are so many potential causes. As far as the discharge is concerned, it's perfectly normal in pregnancy! I've had copious amounts over the last 2 weeks and it's a sign the pregnancy is progressing nicely. Even when I'm not spotting / bleeding, I need to wear a liner because things are so wet down there. Every time you feel anxious, do come back here as chatting to these amazing ladies helps a lot. Pregnancy after loss is a rollercoaster, we just need to accept that reality and find joy in the little things. Big hug!
Chlochlopop So sorry for your losses
This is a very supportive bunch of ladies who've been through a lot and understand how you feel, so it's the best place to be. We all know how full of anxiety those first few weeks are. I stepped away from the tests once I was 6 weeks as after a while they're no longer that accurate, and if the line on one is perhaps not as strong as the previous ones, it only makes you more anxious. I did my best to get distracted with work, and by spending time with close friends and doing the things I enjoy most. Do whatever helps you to relax and try to stay positive. I occasionally used the MC Odds Reassurer (datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php) as I love data and felt good to see how the risk goes down every single day. Any questions or worries, please fire away as we're here to help each other.
Phew, that was a long post. Have a great weekend everyone!
