Grin Grin Grin @looking4hope this was the update I was waiting for! I’m so, so pleased! Andso happy that you FINALLY experienced the care you’ve deserved all along. So relieved for you! 😅

Hopefulforourrainbow · 30/11/2018 20:15

Wow! I'm so happy for you! Such a relief. Hope you're relaxing now x

Iswallowtoothpaste · 30/11/2018 20:21

Oh and happy full term to @Para Grin

Paranormalbouquet · 30/11/2018 21:15

Brilliant news looking! I’m so glad you were scanned today and even more glad that it’s good news!

Finished work today officially although spent most of this week working from home! Looking forward to a week with my feet up now! They look like elephants feet at the moment.

looking4hope · 30/11/2018 21:37

Thank you so much everyone! I wish I could hug each one of you right now. Listening to Christmas songs (it's almost December, right?) and trying to relax. My DH has been grinning all evening, means so much to me to see him so happy.

Paranormalbouquet Congrats for officially finishing work! Enjoy your quiet week and take good care of those elephant feet, ha ha. I'm so excited for you, bet you can't wait for little @Para to be here.

Have a relaxing evening lovely ladies!

Miami81 · 01/12/2018 09:34

I am so glad for you @looking4hope and also a little proud of you for persevering and making sure you got seen. I can't believe the way you were being treated.

Miami81 · 01/12/2018 09:35

@Paranormalbouquet woohoo to 37 weeks.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/12/2018 11:14

Congrats para! Hope you get some proper rest. Are you feeling excited? How long till your section date?

What a relief all is well with your baby looking. So sorry about the shoddy treatment you’ve had but glad you finally had someone good.

Hope the extra support is helpful miami, that’s what they’re there for xx

How are you doing hopeful?

Not much to report here. Everywhere’s run out of fragmin so I’m on something similar and it doesn’t hurt at all and seems to bruise less so all good. Movements have ramped up loads! DH and my DSC have now felt it too which was amazing. I’m really tired but it’s partly insomnia and mostly work stress, I’m having the hardest work year of my life and it’s not going to stop till I go on maternity. Also in horrible limbo about my role but trying to get it sorted. Time is flying by. 25 week midwife apt was good, she was lovely and I’m mrs average which is such a relief. Bump size, wee, bp etc all super on track and boring. Yay for that Smile

para, I keep thinking about you having your baby before Xmas! So so happy for you x

Kayleigh121 · 01/12/2018 11:15

Hi.

Sorry if this is the wrong place

I’m 26
MMC in Feb 2018 discovered 11+4 due to not ‘not feeling pregnant’ so EPU done an early scan, stopped growing at 8+6.

Got my BFP in September 2018 currently 13+4 had 2 good scans but still very scary and very nervous in case anything happens. Currently still very tired, boobs are still sore, hardly any sickness etc next scan 23rd December which is a private scan fingers crossed everything is ok!

Good luck everyone

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/12/2018 11:27

Welcome @Kayleigh121, you’re in exactly the right place! I’m sorry for your loss and sending congratulations on your pregnancy.

This thread is amazing. So many wonderful women who know exactly how you feel. Chat away Smile

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/12/2018 12:35

Aww @Kayleigh121 a big warm welcome to you into this lovely, supportive group.

Similarly to you we had a MMC in June at 9+3 discovered at 10+3. Horrific experience and almost put me off TTC ever again which I’m sure is a feeling most of us on this thread can relate to! But here we are!

I’m also 13+4 today so we must be due date buddies! Have got another scan on Tuesday thanks to high BMI and retroverted uterus impeding the sonographer’s view of baby at my first scan and leaving her unable to get certain measurements. Have had another sneak peak scan since after some slight bleeding and all was ok, couldn’t believe how much the baby had altered in just 6 days!

Kayleigh121 · 01/12/2018 13:57

@iswallowtoothpaste congratulations! I was exactly the same after mmc I was terrified of trying again just in case. I have got further than before in this pregnancy but still terrified just in case!

From the 12 week scan they dating it 12+4 & I am Due 4th June! Good luck with your extra scans I wish I had extra I’m even tempted to pay for additional just for my piece of mind haha!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/12/2018 14:04

@Kayleigh121
I’m so grateful for them I really am, it also lessens the time between the dating scan and 20 week scan.

I’m lucky to have a lovely DD whose 5 but like you am past the point of all previous MC’s now. The anxiety is still there and I’m trying to enjoy it but it’s bloody difficult.

I had a look on groupon last night and they were doing gender scans from £49, you can also find promo codes (I found a 10% off one which took it down to just over £44 - didn’t book just had a look out of interest) maybe something for you to consider

Hopefulforourrainbow · 01/12/2018 14:53

Hi @kayleigh121. Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy.

I'm doing ok thanks @Anne. Feeling like I'm hungover today so guess that's a good sign. I'm 12+2 today. Have been really struggling with tiredness. On annual leave now thankfully so no work til 13th December. Will hopefully be feeling more energetic by then! I have started reducing the cyclogest. Just doing 400mg at night now. Scan and consultant appointment on Monday!

Miami81 · 01/12/2018 17:27

@AnneLovesGilbert good point on the fragmin, need to make sure that I get that sorted to make sure I have enough for Christmas.
I have midwife on Wednesday. And extra scan on Tuesday. So all busy this end.
Can't believe we are at 25 w. Little one here is active as well, which does help with some of the anxiety.
I have been massively losing my shit all over the place this last week. Oh well. It wasn't unexpected I did know that this bit of pregnancy edging towards when dd died would be awful. It's really not helpful that it coincides with Christmas which was her due date last year. But we have decided to brazen it out. Got a tree today and are decorating it at the moment.
I have become obsessed with Prams and buggies in an effort to distract myself. We have agreed that we won't purchase until well into new year. My current favourite is the new oyster 3, although the fact that it's not in shops yet really isn't that helpful.
So I am just watching you tube videos of them all to get an idea of what is good.

Hello, I hope you don't mind me jumping on this post.
I have had 3 Mms in the last year and a half. I have just found out I'm preganant 6+3. I'm waiting to get an early scan. I have never made it past the first trimester before so I'm feeling really anxious. I'm doing preg tests every day to make sure my baby is still there. I'm driving myself mad Confused! I'm scared I'm going to see the midwife and there is either no baby or I'm going to Mmc again

looking4hope · 01/12/2018 21:12

Miami81 I was actually on the verge of giving up and going home after 8 hours of waiting, but my DH convinced me to stay one more hour to wait for the doctor. She was the one who pushed for a scan, so it was definitely worth it.

Losing your shit is perfectly fine - better to express your feelings than keep it all bottled up. Just take it one day at a time and spend lots of time cuddling with DH (and wriggly little one).

AnneLovesGilbert Your DH and DSC feeling movements sounds amazing. And yay for boring/average! Smile Please don't get so stressed with work, in the grand scheme of things it isn't that important. I had some very stressful months, especially while doing fertility treatment, but I decided to put a stop to that. I learned to push back when possible and stop being an overachiever. Your wellbeing is most important right now.

Kayleigh121 Congratulations for your pregnancy and a very warm welcome! You're in great company, these ladies have kept me sane during the last few weeks. Everyone tells me that once you're past 12 weeks the risk is very low, so hold on to that thought. I'm 15+1 and still very tired, not sure where that pregnancy glow and energy are hiding...

Iswallowtoothpaste I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday, bet you can't wait to see your little one again. I don't think the anxiety ever goes away, but you definitely learn to enjoy it more. Hope your backache is gone.

Hopefulforourrainbow Congratulations for getting past 12w! I think Cyclogest contributes to that hungover feeling. I started weaning off at around 12w and I felt a bit better after. Best of luck at your scan and appointment on Monday.

moonpeace Congratulations for your pregnancy and welcome! Please don't worry about spotting, especially when you can barely see it! I've been bleeding for almost a week (sometimes it was just pouring out of me and I also had clots) and everything is fine, see my previous posts. Spotting and even bleeding is not always a sign of something wrong, every body is different and there are so many potential causes. As far as the discharge is concerned, it's perfectly normal in pregnancy! I've had copious amounts over the last 2 weeks and it's a sign the pregnancy is progressing nicely. Even when I'm not spotting / bleeding, I need to wear a liner because things are so wet down there. Every time you feel anxious, do come back here as chatting to these amazing ladies helps a lot. Pregnancy after loss is a rollercoaster, we just need to accept that reality and find joy in the little things. Big hug!

Chlochlopop So sorry for your losses Flowers This is a very supportive bunch of ladies who've been through a lot and understand how you feel, so it's the best place to be. We all know how full of anxiety those first few weeks are. I stepped away from the tests once I was 6 weeks as after a while they're no longer that accurate, and if the line on one is perhaps not as strong as the previous ones, it only makes you more anxious. I did my best to get distracted with work, and by spending time with close friends and doing the things I enjoy most. Do whatever helps you to relax and try to stay positive. I occasionally used the MC Odds Reassurer (datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php) as I love data and felt good to see how the risk goes down every single day. Any questions or worries, please fire away as we're here to help each other.

Phew, that was a long post. Have a great weekend everyone!

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/12/2018 21:19

Are you on actual fragmin miami? I didn’t fill my recent prescription for about 6 weeks after I got it as I had a good stash left and then had a very stressful day having nearly run out with the pharmacy having to contact my consultant to get him to agree to the substitute - even though it’s the only option. The new one is in a much bigger blue syringe with a longer sharper needle, much less fluid, but no bleeding when doing them and I’m sure less bruising. You may not have the same supply issues in Scotland. Are you on it to term? I was told fragmin and aspirin to 36 weeks but last time I saw him he said till the birth. I am a bit jittery about going into labour with very thin blood! Will have to see nearer the time if it affects birthing options.

Sorry you’re having such a tough time Flowers I can’t imagine how you’re feeling in these weeks, it must be so confusing and stressful and painful and just shit. You’ll never forget your beautiful DD, she’s your first born and the first baby in yours and DH family unit. She’ll always be with you. It’s okay to make plans for this baby, he/she will need a pram and a cot and tiny clothes and all the other stuff I really should be thinking about soon! Smile Distractions are good. Do you know when you’ll be able to see someone to talk?

Kayleigh121 · 02/12/2018 09:22

Thanks for making me feel welcome guys!

Just a question, when did you all feel your first baby move? Or these flutters everyone’s on about? What do they feel like and will I notice them?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 02/12/2018 11:05

@Kayleigh121 I started feeling little pops and flutters at 15 weeks with DD (5/6 years ago) and then the occasional little wriggles at 17 weeks but first proper kicks would’ve been 20 weeks +

This time I have an anterior placenta but I think I’ve been feeling some little flips and flutters. They’re hard to distinguish from wind and muscle twitches though Grin

Kayleigh121 · 02/12/2018 11:44

Thank you @Iswallowtoothpaste I swear I’m just an emotional wreck at the moment everything is playing on my mind. Obviously now sickness has calmed down etc I’m just worrying even more 😂 staying positive though! 21 days to go 🤞🏼

Miami81 · 02/12/2018 14:49

@AnneLovesGilbert yep I still have fragmin. There was supply issues with the last prescription- they got the full lot eventually. Maybe I'll drop my prescription in quite soon so just in case there are still issues.
Little one is messing with my head today. Not a huge amount of movements today. Just lying on the sofa trying to decide whether to get into the hospital. Baby is moving, just not as big movements as for the last week.

marajade12 · 02/12/2018 15:49
