Does anyone else use there heart rate monitor on there Fitbit to monitor when they have ovulated? Saw a post on here recently where someone was but can't find it now. Been reading up on it thought it would be interesting to see how many of you guys did?

Yup me!! My resting heart rate rises after ovulation then drops again when af arrives! I only realised after a few months then spotted a pattern! X

dangle90 · 05/04/2017 10:18

That's crazy isn't it! I have the normal Fitbit Alta at the mo but going to get the Alta HR today. Was reading up from other people that there heart rate stayed elevated when they conceived x

I read the last post on this too and when I looked back my hr had risen 4 days before I got positive opk and then dropped back down after af. This month it has risen 4 days ago but still no positive opk although I am due to ovulate any day now fingers crossed!!

dangle90 · 05/04/2017 20:07

Really emma that's interesting, hopefully you ovulate soon. God all this ttc malarkey makes me feel like I should be some kind of biology teacher 😂!
Any chance you could post your graph from you Fitbit? Just got my Alta HR today still trying to get to grips with it x

Yes I will give it a go dangle. I only have one month worth of data as I've only ovulated once since coming off the pill

Emma2803 · 05/04/2017 20:25

Here you go, so I got a positive opk on the 10th and af arrived on the 22nd.

Here's my three months chart. So I only got fitbit 7th January, started weight watchers 16th so think losing weight has helped reduce hr. Stopped pill on 12th February. Cam see a pattern starting to form. Ovulated 11th March I think cos I got positive opk day before, just waiting on next wee egg coming out!! Hope this helps!!

I had no idea this was a thing and looking at this month it peaks on the day of ovulation but on previous month's it's been different.

juneybean · 05/04/2017 20:31

Hopefully this attaches I'm 3dpo.

Actually it's all become clear to me... my period was late last month but looking at my heart rate it peaked on 5th march and my period came 2 weeks later so I ovulated later than normal

dangle90 · 05/04/2017 20:52

Thank you both so much. There's deffo some kind of pattern isn't there, I also read if your HR stays elevated after suspected implantation it's a sign you've conceived, so we will see won't we x

I have recently noticed this too!

Emma2803 · 07/04/2017 07:35

I don't know of my fitbit is playing about or its my body messing around! Last month heart rate started to rise 3 days before positive ovulation test then steadily dropped down again, this month it started to rise but seems stuck at 58 (last month it got up to 60/61 when I ovulated) and has been at this for 6 days and still no positive opk!! 😥

Emma2803 · 07/04/2017 07:37

Here's my chart at the minute....

Hello! It was me who posted about it recently.

It really works!

This is my chart for march - AF was the dip at the beginning, then ovulation was the first big spike, then it dropped back down in the tww, then climbed really high again towards the end of March- and at that point I was getting faint positive pregnancy tests. Into the April chart it then started dropping again and sadly I had a chemical pregnancy. I'm now on AF again and resting Bpm is fairly low, hopefully I'll ovulate next week and will see it spike up again.

The chart shows it beautifully if you happen to start your cycle at the beginning of the calendar month like I did - it doesn't work so well if your cycle starts mid month as you have to look at it over two charts

Emma2803 · 07/04/2017 09:57

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical ifeellikechickentonight. Thank you for sharing your chart. Fingers crossed for you next week!! Can I ask what was going on with you the 8 days hr was the same as thats what I'm like at the minute.

dangle90 · 07/04/2017 10:21

Sorry about your chemical pregnancy. Thanks so much for sharing your graph. Its making more sense to me now as I can't find much online about it. So hopefully I can monitor it a bit more this month. Fx for you all this month x

Sorry I can't help you with your chart emma :/ it's strange x

That was the 2ww for me emma, the bit where the HR stayed the same for a while. It didn't start to rise until about CD24 or 25. Where are you in your cycle?

CatMum87 · 07/04/2017 10:36

I find this really interesting! Another thing for me to obsess over Grin

Emma2803 · 07/04/2017 13:40

I'm currently on cd17 after a very short 2.5day first period after stopping the mini pill middle of February. So really my cycle could be anywhere. My heart rate rose from about 55 to 60 in a few days just before I ovulated on 11th March. Then after af on 22nd dropped to 52 (cd4) and gradually rose over the following week and went from 55-58 in two days (cd10-cd12) and has been stuck at 58 since cd12!
What is going on is anyones guess!! Bloody pill putting hormones up the left!! Have been doing opks since cd7 and all very faint!

CatMum87 · 08/04/2017 16:05

Oooh Emma hopefully that means you are gearing up to ov 😊. First few months I saw my heart raise rise I thought I was getting I'll until I put two and two together!

Be interesting to see of anyone's fitbit indicates that they are pregnant!! X
